This is by far the most original and entertaining filler I have ever seen in a series, the characters completely maintain their personality all that really changes is the setting. Many many characters that were long forgotten or haven’t been seen since the crew left them, show up in these specials. The boss luffy storyline begins at this special and is then further shown in the anime as filler episodes at different moments. There are 5 boss luffy episodes in total.

Though this special is quite enjoyable it feels the most like filler out of all of them. The story is OK. But just a little bit to dragged out, it should have been 10 minutes shorter, if it was the special would be more enjoyable. However it isn't in any way a bad special. The premise is good, the new characters you meet in this special fit in well within the one piece world and the strawhats are their great personal selves. All in all a real one piece fan should not skip this special.

This is by far the most enjoyable, entertaining and well-writen of all the specials and ova’s. I frequent it above all others since it will immidiately lift your spirits everytime your feeling down.
The story, characters and the setting of the plot, all fit extremely well with the big upcomming adventure mood that the first two season have. You can really tell that the makers of this ova, did their uttermost best to emulate the entire scope and feel of the story and the characters. Most of the movies can’t hold a candle to it. If one should make a list of all the movies, specials, ova’s, ... Jan 1, 2013
This is a short originally aired before the fifth one piece movie: The Cursed Holy Sword. We see the strawhats play baseball against the fishman pirates all in their own unique fashion. This is all narrated by Buggy and Mr. 2 who provides all the voices for the strawhats, meaning that you don’t hear any of the strawhats speaking themselves which sadly diminishes a lot of the funniness of the entire short. Nonetheless a true one piece will still enjoy this little funny short.

One Piece: Taose! Kaizoku Ganzack

This is the very first piece of one piece animation. The voices are somewhat different, the faces are very different and the animation is anything but splendid, however the story that is told is still classic one piece. It is still luffy who goes on an adventure. Who saves the day and wants to become pirate king. You cannot call yourself an one piece fan without having seen this special at least once.
