This show first attracted me because I thought it looked novel, and it was. For the first four episodes. After that I was really bored with this show. I couldn't sit through the show as the story repeated over and over with no effective change. The stories follow a certain format. Red Blood Cell finds either a germ, white blood cell, or a friend red blood cell and then they act afraid as the immune system fight the germs or that episode. The show failed to make me care about any of the characters. The art doesn't look back but it can be really ... lazy at times such as in the ED and is some walking animations.

Dragon Ball Z was my first anime, and well it kept me in. I'm not sure why but I loved it. If your young and want to go into anime that's not too anime this is it. Looking back this definitely had some flaws, however it has the most flaws that shonen anime do. This is a solid watch if you like really long series. It's best watched as a really really long movie. Just remember which part is filler and which isn't, the show has a lot less flaws without the filler. Overall however if you watch it from season one ... you will be very confused, I would recommend watching Dragon Ball first although you can continue without watching you'll just have to catch who's who and their relations quickly. During season two it really is long I mean super long, it's supposed to take place over a little over six days. This was due to the anime trying to stretch out the fight because the manga need some time to get ahead of the show as the anime was catching up. In the third/fourth season the villains evolve brilliantly even though it was due to the authors editor forcing it upon him. The fifth and final season his clearly the author's true creation he claimed to have this be his final and his season no editors influencing him and I love it the villain is very creative and this season is an amazing example of last minute creativity. The flaws however are there several times you can ask "Why doesn't ____ teach ____ the _____?" There is also Goku yeah Goku can be really silly sometimes. Now to be clear the Western Goku is vastly different then the Japanese Goku. The Dub(western Version) makes him out to be more of a hero like superman although the original sub (Japanese) Goku is actually just a guy who likes fighting as his _____ nature goes. Overall it is an awsome opening for anime as a whole.
