Juujika no Rokunin is the type of revenge manga aimed at a very particular kind of audience, it's plot revolves around one dimensions villains who you're supposed to despise and when the protagonist inevitably tortures the villains, you cheer for him.
I won't judge anyone who are into these revenge torture manga series because they can be super entertaining to read and I personally enjoy them as my guilty pleasure. (it's fiction, as long as you don't become a school shooter, just enjoy fiction for what it is).
Having said that, Juujika no Rokunin is exactly that, a revenge torture manga with one dimensional baddies
...
and that's a good thing.
However, Juujika no Rokunin is unfortunatly only enjoyable during the revenge segments. Every other scene is extremely boring to read through, including a romance sub-plot that I couldn't care less about.r

Well there was a certain point in my life of being an anime fan where I thought to myself I will never find another anime to put in my favs due to the fact that most anime I consumed rarely crossed a rating of 7. I was CONVINCED that I won't find a show that I can even rate a 9. However that is when Gintama happened, it captivated me with it's plot, comedy, action and CHARACTERS. I gave the first season a 9 and now coming this far I can say positively that this anime is a 10/10. I know this anime came out
...
in 2015 so my review is definetly beyond late but I just want to talk about this amazing series.
Arcs:
To start off, this series follows the same premise it has been following through the past few seasons. However this new season introduces some of the most creative and exciting comedy and serious arcs. The comedy is still as good as you remember, the jokes are incredibly funny and this season has some of the funniest arc in all of Gintama, such as Afro arc, Dekoboko and soul swap. If you are a fan of Gintama's comedy then this season features some hilarious moments. Now let's talk about the serious arcs, the serious arcs are the highest steak arcs in all of Gintama so far. These arcs aren't something that happens once and you forget about it. Additionally, this season has some of the most impactful and emotional moments.
Characters:
Same characters I fell in love with when I started this series, they are all phenomenal, some of the comedic characters who seemed to purely be around for jokes get major development in the serious arcs.
Sound:
The music is great for the most parts, I love most of the OPs and EDs used, aside from maybe 1 opening but that also grew on me later on.
Action:
The action is improved significantly from the previous gintama arcs. The fight scenes are just eye candy to watch, they are fast, quick and better than a lot of other shounens.
Conclusion:
All in all, Gintama is the same old Gintama, there is comedy and there is action. After all the time spent getting to know the cast, this season wraps up in an emotional and impactful way. If you are caught up to all the previous seasons of Gintama before this but are still wondering whether to watch it or not, then all I can say is this season is the best one and this show will always have a very special place in my heart. I have a mean score of 5.51, so for me to give this show a 10 means IT'S REALLY GOOD.

Better than Your Name?
After so long, I finally got a chance to see this movie and although I am not the biggest fan of Makoto Shinkai's predecessor "Your Name." I was indeed admittedly hyped for this movie. After finishing, it had met my expectations and neither did it exceed my expectations nor did it stoop below my expectations. I did enjoy Weathing with you more than Kimi no nawa, I have to say.
Makoto Shinkai is back with an amazingly innovative story that feels originals and is original. The story is not just about a girl who controls the weather, and it has a lot more
...
depth to the plot line than just that. Shinkai's stories are one of the more intriguing parts about his works, and is enough to hook anybody in simply with the synopsis.
Now comes the best part about this entire movie, which is the art. It is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. It is drawn SO BEAUTIFULLY, and I can't emphasize enough about the amount of detail that has been put into the art style. I was mesmerized and completely hooked to the way everything looks. Bright colors, smooth animation, stunning backgrounds and everything is such an eye candy to watch that the next day I woke up, I really thought the entire movie was a dream. While watching this, I was simply sucked inside the movie and no matter how much I compliment the art, it will never be enough.
The soundtrack is also incredibly good, the music kicking in as I get to see the beautiful visuals is just so satisfying. There are a handful of songs in this movie that perfectly fit the movie's atmosphere and vibe and really helps the movie feel alive.
When it comes to the characters, I thought they were counterparts of "Your Name" characters. Although the characters are likable and you really root for them throughout their journey, these characters don't have much depth to them. They are very similar to the characters from "Your Name" and it just felt a bit too similar at times. There are also a lot of character details that the movie touches, but never explores it. (not a spoiler, it is in the synopsis) For example, the movie establishes that Hodaka is a runaway but it never really covers why he is a runaway. We do get a tiny scene where Hodaka explains it very briefly, but the reasoning is never touched upon after that anymore. There are also several other examples of the movie touching on a character detail and never really fully covering it and giving us a proper explanation.
One nitpick, I do have about this anime is how much it is relying on the success of "Your Name." This movie is using the same "Your Name" formula and a lot of the scenes play out very similarly to how it is played out in "Your Name." It is possible that this is just the director's style of directing, but it just feels very similar and I had to point it out. This anime is obviously trying to recreate the same success of "Your Name." Once you are reminded that, the movie loses it's emotions. Although I did say I enjoyed this movie more, unfortunately once you look at this movie as something trying to chase another movie's success you will be disappointed. This point is made more clear once you look at the amount of 'Your Name" characters cameos in this movie. It is absolutely filled with cameos, making it so obvious that it is trying to recreate the same success.
Overall, Tenki No Ko is a neat watch, definitely worth the time if you enjoyed "Your Name." However, it would be best if you went into this movie with an open mind, rather than high anticipation.

Cute and creepy
Hanako Kun was an anticipated show for 2020, I started this anime with high expectations, because lerche studio has been my favourite for quite a while now, and whenever lerche comes up with a fresh original anime, I can’t help but be excited for it.
Right off the bat, I was hooked with it’s art style and animation. The art comes off as a full coloured manga, with each shots as manga panels. This creative art style immediately alerts fans of the anime community who crave something original rather than some generic isekai of the season. The chibi character designs are adorable and
...
creepy when it needs to be and the creators clearly don’t have any intentions of ripping off of other shows and lets us know they are thriving for something original right away with that amazing art style. Unfortunately not everyone will be able to appreciate this kind of art and it may take people some time to get used to it, since the characters may have weirdly drawn arms or legs. However, the anime also makes fun of it’s own art style, in fact one of the running gags of this show has to do with how a character’s legs look.
The comedy of this show also lands most of the time for me. The humour of Hanako Kun is quite self aware, and I often found myself laughing quite a bit watching this show. This anime isn’t scared of taking dark turns, however the dark moments don’t last very long because the show will switch to it’s light hearted side the next frame. At times it does feel like this anime is just confused of what it wants to be. It’s constantly switching back and forth from cutesy to dark, which doesn’t really establish a certain tone for the series to stick with.
I really loved the characters of Hanako Kun, the main cast is very likeable and their interactions are just heart warming. The supporting cast is also great, including the antagonists of the show. Every character has a very lovable personality, including the villains. It’s just a blast to watch these characters simply do things. There is also enough character development and backstory given to the characters. Although I would have liked Nene’s character to be explored a little more, since all we know about Nene is the fact that she wants a boyfriend, and that’s about it with her character. I am not saying Nene is a bad character, because she is very complex and a fantastic character. I would just like to see more of her past.
A major attraction of this anime is it’s story line. Hanako Kun features an amazing story, that’s original and creative. It feels like a breath of fresh air and the story truly makes me want to see more of what the yokai genre has to offer.
This anime has an amazing opening song and just as amazing ending song. The songs don’t feel out of place, and fits in really well with the anime, while also providing quality music for the audience to listen to. I never wanted to skip these songs at any points of the show.
When it comes to the flaws, this anime can feel very rushed. In fact, the very important episode that is supposed to tell us the rules of the world and give us a good exposition to start off the story felt incredibly rushed. I am talking about the first episode, the first episode felt very rushed to me and it felt like a lot of exposition was crammed into this one small episode.
Throughout this anime we see the main characters take on various challenges of fighting a variety of different wonders of the school, and to be completely honest, although a lot of these wonders were highly creative, while others felt like they were just there to fill up the 12 episodes. The first few episodes featuring these wonders, really felt like they didn’t help move the plot along at all. They just felt like random obstacles for our main characters to go through while the actual story took motion near the end of the anime.
This anime also decides to become a lot more serious towards the last few episodes, it almost takes itself too seriously, all while creating several unnecessary plot points in the process, which not only creates a lot of confusion and head scratching for the audience, it also feels like a drag to watch. The only thing I liked about this arc is the villain, who was quite entertaining in personality. However, overall I really didn’t like the turn that this show decided to take with it’s story.
Overall, Hanako Kun excels at delivering a unique experience brimming with charming and memorable characters. It features a very cute art style that brings even more charm to the it and a story that remains original and creative. Unfortunately this anime loses it’s momentum in the pacing department, creating various unnecessary plot points to further confuse it’s audience and the story of Hanako Kun doesn’t really go anywhere whatsoever until the main villain arrives somewhere around the last few episodes.

Good action makes up for a weak storyline
Moe? Action? VRMMO? Light hearted fun?
If you are looking for those things then you will have a good time watching this anime. But if you are looking for more, then just give this one a pass.
Bofuri is a power fantasy vrmmo anime, right off the bat, you should have an idea of what to expect. No, the characters are not in a high stake trapped in a game scenario, no the characters don’t get hurt in game and no the characters can’t die. Which means everything that takes place in the game doesn’t actually effect the
...
main character in any way. No, I am not saying that’s a bad thing, but I can see a lot of people having problems with that. The good side of having a low stake setting is, it fits the tone of the show’s cutesy and light hearted nature. While on the contrary if the characters were trapped in this game like in SAO and still did cute and moe stuff, those two wouldn’t go so well together. However the problem with this is the fact that there is no actual threat to the characters, therefore completing their objectives aren’t actually going to make me feel like the characters achieved something big or overcame an obstacle.
The plot of this anime is really not that special either. The plot is essentially something like Net juu or netoge. It’s just people playing an mmorpg. While in Net juu or netoge the characters have more screen time outside of the video games they play in. Bofuri almost entirely takes place in the game. We see the characters attend a school and such during some segments, however those scenes are extremely short and aren’t even 2% of the anime. Other than the fact that bofuri takes place mostly in the game, this anime feels like any other vrmmorpg and has a pretty bland plot.
The characters are all really bad. There is almost no character development aimed at any of the characters at all. We see the characters mostly just be cute and do cute things. That’s about it. We don’t know what the characters are like in real life, none of the characters get their time to shine, since the show is mostly centred around Maple. On top of that, pretty much none of the characters contribute too much and are useless for the most parts, considering how OP Maple is. I couldn’t get myself to even get invested in the dialogue and I just couldn’t see the characters as real people rather than just characters.
Minor spoilers for this next paragraph.
Maple’s powers are never explained properly and for Maple to exploit the game so easily is just unrealistic, because if there was such an easy cheat to be OP, everyone in the game would be using it. The directors expected us to just go along with the plot convenience there. One minute Maple is taking out enemies with her shield, the other minute she is riding an oversized turtle and the next she is literally turning into Godzilla. The show never runs out of ways to make Maple OP, and at times it just feels like the anime is pulling these out of it’s ass. Some of these abilities that Maple gets are so random, and we are expected to just go with it. Of course this is fiction and realism isn’t necessary. But I am expected to have some sort of logic to what I am viewing for me to fully get invested in the world and a little less plot convenience would have made the show something more than just something to watch and forget about it the next day.
The animation is breath taking at times with really well drawn fight scenes are action sequences. There are explosions, lasers and just some of the most epic and entertaining anime battles that are easily what saves this show.
I also really enjoyed the music in this anime. The opening and the endings are both really catchy songs that I listened to a bunch of times.
Overall, if you like light hearted moe action with gorgeous animation and fight scenes and you are willing to forgive an illogical and straight up ridiculous power fantasy and just watch the show instead of focusing on the minor plot holes and details, then you will like this. If you are here for story and characters, I recommend giving this one a pass because it will not be worth your time.

A beautifully crafted world
Somali to Mori was one of my most anticipated anime for 2020. I was instantly captivated by the promotional trailer and I knew this was going to be something for me, and going into the show I will say that I like it for what it is.
Somali To Mori has an interesting plot line that immediatly hooked me into the anime. Although the story doesn't seem entirely unique, a story about a father golem and a human daughter's journey is the kind of premise that I am extremely fascinated by. The story remains simplistic and enjoyable, it is heart warming and
...
it's just a feel good anime to watch.
The art is beautiful, the world of Somali To Mori is just breath-taking to look at and it feels like a fantasy world where I would want to live in. There are some really beautifully drawn scenes and some of them are straight up wallpaper material. The character designs for this anime feels unique and imaginative, there is something about the character designs that instantly draws me into the show. I wouldn't put the art or animation as high as something like Violet Evergarden, but the art still remains gorgeous.
Somali is instantly best girl of 2020 for me, and it will take a lot of cuteness for any other girl to pass Somali's level of cuteness. Not just Somali, but this show is really good with characterization. Every character is well thought out and has a lot of character development put into them. Characterization is very much the main focus of this anime rather than story and each supporting cast has their own goals and their own backstory that will keep you interested into the show. Unfortunatly, some of these character arks aren't as strong as others, so I found myself somewhat bored during certain segments.
So far, this anime is divided into character arks, every two episodes or so, Somali and her father travel from one place to another, meeting a lot of supporting characters during their travel. Now this can become kind of tedious. You eventually start to realize the plot is barely moving and this anime is just made up of a bunch of side stories with an extremely slow progression to the main story. It just feels like the two main characters are going to point A to point B and there they meet some characters before moving from point B to point C and they meet some more supporting characters and so on. What's worse is the fact that some of these character arks are so boring to watch, that you might find yourself mumbling "just get on with it already."
The dialogue at times can also be somewhat cringey, most of the character interactions just have this general cheesy vibe to it and once you look at the cringey dialogue in the "cringey" way, it starts to become a distraction. We already know that nobody talks like that in real life and it feels too awkward. For example in the middle of the conversation, a character starts singing some random ass song before explaining the whole history of the song that they are singing. Other times, characters just randomly start to talk about their backstory out of the blue. There was even this one scene at the begining of the episode where this one creature just started telling our golem protagonist the history of how humans got extinct. Just imagine you are in a resturant and the waiter just comes up to you and starts giving you a history lesson. Yes, I might be exagirrating a bit, but the dialogue for this show honestly just felt so badly written.
One of the "emotional" character ark was just too short to leave an emotional impact on the viewers and it just felt like a lazily written short story that ends abruptly with our main characters moving on.
Overall, this anime is an enjoyable and fun watch for the most parts. I am curious to see where the story of Somali To Mori goes and I will most likely update my review once all the episodes have aired and I have completed watching this. There are some minor issues such as dialogue and boring character arks, but they are excused by the beautiful art and the likable main characters. If you just want a heart warming and calm show that makes you go "aww" then this is just for you. However, if you want a fast paced story with a lot of action and intense moments, then just give this one a skip.
Score: 6.8/10

brilliant anime that goes nowhere
ERASED is one of the most popular anime of 2016 and I know it is old now to review it, but I will do it anyways since I always wanted to review this anime. Starting off, the main plot line of erased is immediatly the most engaging parts about this anime. An mc that has the power to rewind time, and gets rewinded all the way back to when he was in elementary school to stop a murder sounds amazing, and for the most part it is. Yes, although we have seen this "time rewind" plot line to save someone, in
...
many other anime, most notable ones being Re zero, Steins;gate and a lot more to list. Aside from the similarities to other shows, ERASED still feels like a completely original take on the time rewind genre and executes it's plot well.
SPOILERS NEXT PARAGRAPH
The characters for this show are simply fun to watch, I love the relationship between Satou and Kayo, Although it is kind of creepy if you think about it. Regardless, Satou and Kayo's relationship was one of my favorite parts about this anime. Their interactions with one another always felt heartwarming and fun to watch. Unfortunatly, they don't really take their relationships anywhere by the end of it, which is unfortunate. Some of the supporting characters were also well written, such as Satou's mother. However, some characters felt unnecessary. A huge thing that everyone complains about in this anime is "THE KILLER IS WAY TOO PREDICTABLE". And it's true, the killer is extremely predictable and you instantly know who the killer is the moment they are on screen.
None of the openings or endings for this show felt like they were "good". The music in this show is pretty passable for me, and I didn't feel the need to add any of them to my playlist. The opening is still not bad and it's okay to say the least and I don't even know what the ED sounds like, which means it's forgettable.
The art wasn't anything too special, but still suitable for the theme of this show. The art didn't make me want to ever stop watching this anime, but I wouldn't say it's extraordinary or anything like that. I liked the art for what it was.
There are some very heavy topics explored in this show and they are explored really well. This show also provides a lot of sad and heartwarming moments such as that one dinner scene, which just makes you feel sympathy for the characters.
There isn't really much use of Satou's ability throughout the anime except for maybe two or three times and neither is his ability really explained at any point of the show. Now comes my biggest hatred about this show, which is the ending. The ending is so bad that it's TERRIBLE. The show ends in the most non sensical head scratching, wtf moment ever. And spoiler alert, Satou and Kayo don't really end up together, which sucks because I wanted them to become a couple.
Overall, I did enjoy this anime except for the ending, and it's definetly something I would recommend.

My advice: Don't even bother
I knew this show was going to be bad, and why did I still watch it? Because why the hell not. If you don't already know, this anime is bad and I really don't recommend it to anyone.
The plot is interesting to say the least, but for the most parts this plot line is extremely goofy, and the show takes itself way too seriously for a plot like this. However, I can give them credits for having a unique plot that is interesting enough to pique my interest. I just really hoped this show wouldn't have taken itself as seriously as
...
it did.
The art is fucking awful, the character designs are generic and the art and animation is just straight up UGLY. You can tell that not a lot of work was put into drawing this disaster, because everything about the art in this show feels lazy and underdeveloped.
When it comes to the opening, I will say that I didn't hate the opening and the ending was completely forgettable so I won't even talk about that. Comparing the opening to other openings, this one is really not that great, comparatively.
[MILD SPOILERS FOR THE NEXT PARAGRAPH, SKIP THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED]
The characters are straight up awful. None of the characters are memorable and although the series tries to give the characters character development, the characters still feel bland and forgettable. The reason as to why the characters are so bad is mainly because the show always decides to put spotlight on characters right before they are about to be killed off. This way not only is it super predictable who is going to die, THEY ARE ALSO KILLING OFF CHARACTERS WHO ARE JUST STARTING TO GET INTERESTING. Not like any of them were actually that good of characters anyways. This show also does something that I really didn't like. Around the start of the show, it reveals that one of main girls of the series who is super nice to the mc is actually evil and sadistic. This personality shift felt so pointless and random to me that I couldn't help but sigh while watching this. There was literally no point to even introduce her as a nice character, they just switched her personality for shock factor, which is something that I really didn't like. They also do it so out of the blue that it's just ridiculous.
This anime also tries it's best to make the deaths as exaggerated and gory as possible, and it gets to a point where it's just straight up hilarious. They have to make the most simple deaths the goriest as possible. For example if the director of this anime were to create a sequence where someone gets shot in the head, they will make sure that the gun completely rips open the person's skull while they piss themselves and bleed everywhere until their heads finally detaches from their body. Of course this doesn't happen in the show, this was merely an example. But the series makes every death so over the top, to the point where it's not even realistic anymore.
[VERY MILD SPOILERS IN THE NEXT PARAGRAPH AS WELL, SORRY]
The orders that the "king" gives aren't that interesting either. Some of the orders require the characters to do tame things like going from one place to another on foot, while other times it's a lot more intense, such as breaking a finger. And at times it's something completely ridiculous as having sex with someone. I must say that the only game I truly enjoyed in this anime was the finger breaking game, this was an intense and suspenseful sequence that I really did enjoy and I thought it was well executed. Other than that, none of the other Ousama orders are actually good.
Ousama game makes a very weak attempt at explaining what in the world this ousama game is, and even after that weak attempt, you are left scratching your head because the orgin of the ousama game literally makes no sense at all.
Overall, I thought this anime was also quite boring, but I still managed to pull through this hell of an experience, that I don't want to experience ever again. Don't even get me started with the ending, because the ending was so bad and non sensical that it was the point of time where I genuinely gave up hope to even try to enjoy this mess.

Slice of life done right
Grand Blue is a series I had no prior knowledge about other than the fact that it is funny. I never read the manga so I went into the show pretty blindly and I had a blast watching this.
As far as the story goes, it is nothing special. It is a slice of life and there isn't really much of a plot to begin with, the best way to describe the plot would be steriotypical highschool protagonist gets forced to join a club. Despite the super generic and overused plot, I like the fact that the environment of this anime isn't
...
based around highschool. Grand Blue is unique and the setting takes place in a university rather than highschool, which is something that we almost never see in anime.
The opening song is absoloutly amazing and one of the reasons why I even watched this show. The music is catchy and memorable that perfectly fits the tone of the series, the ending however, is good but not something I would add to my playlist.
The characters are absoloutly brilliant and well fleshed out for the most parts, some characters get more character development than others, however all of the characters stick to being fun and enjoyable to watch. The series is willing to drop it's playful tone in order to give some characters the required character development and spotlight to make them great. However, there are characters who are just plain silly throughout all 12 episodes and you don't really get their character development and therefore they don't get a chance to grow as characters. A perfect example for this character would be Kouhei, who remains goofy for pretty much the entire show without you knowing anything about him other than the fact that he is an otaku who is obsessed with anime girls.
The art is beautiful and eye candy to look at. The underwater sequences are drawn really well and although the character designs aren't that special, I had no problem with the art or the animation throughout the entire series.
The best part about this anime is definetly the comedy, most jokes in this show lands and it is one of the most hilarious shows out there. The comedy is well thought out, well executed and it will get at least a few chuckles out of you. Although there are some overused and cliche jokes, such as a lot of misunderstandings. Most of the comedy is really funny. If only this anime didn’t have so many cliche misunderstandings, it would feel more original.
As for my enjoyement, I really did enjoy this anime and this show stays consistent with it's enjoyment for the most part, this is something that a slice of life doesn't manage to do very well for me. Although I did think some of the episodes weren't as good as some other ones, I still enjoyed this show for how it is, this show has very minor flaws and I can safely recommend it to comedy fans.

It's terrible... what a surprise!-Spoonmaster12
I sighed twice before starting this review.... So, I believe the reverse harem genre is pretty unpopular and should deserve more spotlight. However, it seems like whenever studios try to make a reverse harem, they fail.... When we have trash like this lying around, I truly lose faith in the genre.
Story:
Starting off, the story is basically non existent. It's like someone just came up with a random plotline from the top of their head in 5 seconds and decided to make an anime about it. I don't even think the author cares to develop the story at all since so far
...
all I see is the main character being chased by the vampires, every. damn. episode. Every episode feels like de ja vu, where you are seeing the same thing over and over again in the same environment. This anime almost feels like a really bad and cringey asmr.
Art:
The art is gorgeous, the character designs are absoloutly beautiful, the biggest plus about this anime is how hot the guys actually look. The dudes are actually BEAUTIFUL only when it comes to looks. Overall, this anime has done well in animating everything. Although some of it may look a bit generic, they are still great.
Characters:
Did I mention the characters are hot? Well, if not I am doing it right now. Yep, that's all the good stuff. Aside from their character designs every single one of the guys are abusive, manipulative, sadistic pieces of shits who just play with the main character and use her as a toy. Girls are supposed to be turned on by this? I mean, I am not a girl but damn... Every episode the dudes random go up to her and start sucking her blood, it gets to a point where you have seen it so much you are ready to jump off a cliff. The characters are absoloutly TERRIBLE! There is nothing good about them, they are awful and horrible characters.
Enjoyment: I did not enjoy this....
Sound: The opening is awsome but the ending sucks
Overall:
