Yeah Mon, I suppose this is what separates the wine sipping critics and the average guy. The sense that they should over analyze every cut, every empty moment, and every dialogue, and somehow they use that to gauge a proper score. I really don't care; I watched the film like I was watching any other, but I just didn't like it. I already forgot most of the events (only watched nine days ago) which goes to show how forgettable it was for me. To me, I watch anime to be entertained. If it doesn't entertain me then I guess it just isn't that good.
Damn someone who watched Lake Mungo? Probably one of the only movies which I actually finished without pausing it every thirty minutes. The acting was astonishing for just some run of the mill folks who probably just signed up to play in a movie. Probably the greatest mockumentary of all time. I came here from your review of Whisper of the Heart (fuck mal for not adding english names). I really didn't like it damn.
Thought I'd add you since we share a lot of the same anime and favorites c: Also saw your comment on NiceIceWeiss's profile defending Inuyashiki which is cool :o
I use different rating scales between my list and my reviews. Reviews are generally +1 or +2 points since I got tired of people thinking I hated everything below an 8. So my list scores are the only ones that matter, really.
HxH is really good. How far are you into it?
I'm liking Drifters a lot too but I am having trouble with getting into Occultic;Nine. The story is kind of off and I am not sure I like the characters much.
