It's been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time since I saw a "Pure comedy" anime/manga like Binbougami Ga! It's not a 4-koma, not a gag-driven anime, it's not a moe-moe driven manga... it's not even some doubtful "lewd jokes" anime... it's just your ol' good plot that will send you laughing to the floor... quite literally.
The story and premises aren't quite original thenselves but the lack of new mangas/anime with this kind of setting on the actual anime and manga escene it's like water on the desert. Ok... there is SOME fan-service but this kind of things are ussual on the bussiness.

First of all, English isn't my mother language so forgive if I do some harsh gramatical erros.
Story(?)/argument Joshiraku is the other manga Kohji Kumeta is writing... Assuming most of you have watched Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, this new manga/anime can be quite a shock on the first episode specially due to how cute everything is and how charming (if not moe) the girls are... but as almost everything Kumeta does, this traits are quite deceptive. If in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei every chapter had an steady progression towards the punchline or "the joke" at the end of the episode, joshiraku completely lacks this: the humour is quite ... Let's see.... how can i review this...
first i will have something clear... of you don't like the tipycal way that anime is done then this is not your anime... because the first adjective i will say about this anime is that is "prefabricated"... the plot is pretty much what you can expect as well as the characters: you can find a lot of then even some rarities like the perv guy or the shotacon... others are the moe girl, the tsundere, the miko style girl, the tiycal hero boy of a romantic comedy, etc... having said that if you have seen a lot of manga then you ... |
