As in Toradora, the story in Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman revolves around a couple of high school students who are thrown together through unusual circumstances. In each case, the main characters are in love with others and agree to serve as wingman or assistant to their partners in the hope of hooking up with their one true love. But life happens, and proximity, familiarity, and hormones all intervene. And in each case, it is proven once again that opposites attract, and that magnetism can overcome all obstacles to unite our protagonists. Of course, there will be a lot of physical humor, comedy from misunderstandings, and eventually passionate romance!

Each of these high school rom-coms feature teenagers forced to cohabitate with one another. The male character in each is the class nerd, in love with the pure and well-behaved angel, but forced to live with the gyaru school idol. Viewers will be required to suspend disbelief regarding the improbable events leading to teenagers living together with minimal supervision. But you will be rewarded with the kind of gag humor, fan service, and high school romance that you are expecting.

Bloom Into You, like its predecessor Say I Love You, is a high school romance for lovers of psychological dramas. Each features a dominant or even pushy protagonist and a reluctant or skeptical object of their affection. These are relationships where one person has a higher status, and it will take time before they see one another as equals. The major theme underlying the romance is recovery and healing from past trauma and grief. If you enjoy your romance with an undercurrent of psychological struggle, you might also enjoy these emotionally-charged love stories.
