Two main characters that are both extremely overpowered. Other than Saitama, whose journey is literally to find someone who can beat him, Ichigo seems to be one of the quickest Shounen protags in developing his skills. He just seems gifted from the being.

Tsuna and Midoriya are eerily similar. One day they encounter someone who changes their world forever. The mains of both of these series start out as extremely timid, and have little to no faith in their own strengths. Through the help of their mentors and friends, they are able to unlock their true potential. Reborn gives Tsuna the ability to go into the hyper death flame mode, while All Might gives Midoriya his powers of All for One.

Time paradox? Yep. Both of these series have really confusing time lines, and a lot of mystery, that will have you wondering what even happened prior to the main story line. Note: While both contain some violence, Higurashi has a lot of gore, and is not for the faint of heart.

Baseball's the most popular sport in Japan, so it's no mystery to see several baseball anime/manga making their way around~ Oofuri is a lot more fluffy than Battery, as the main in Battery is abused by his team mates, and is constantly told that he's not good enough. Oofuri has nearly all the characters telling him that he can do it.

Mainly writing this because of the extreme similarities between the mains, Miharu and Ciel. If you like Ciel's personality, and how he tends to be somewhat emotionless, but still has aspirations, you'll like Miharu. The styles also remind me out each other.

Nabari no Ou is extremely similar to Naruto, one of the on;y differences is that it's not unnecessarily drawn out. Nabari no Ou, and Naruto both have 1) A character that is emotionless on the outside, but the main character wants to save them 2) A fox spirit targeting the main character 3) A character who's older brother murdered the rest of their family 4) A doting sensei, who will do anything to protect his students 5) Ninja 6) Hidden shinobi villages 7) A scroll that the characters at one point or another, aspire to get And much more! I apologize, it's been about 4 years since I've seen Nabari no Ou, I just remember loving it, and it's characters, but it also hitting me hard in the Naruto feels.

Looking for vampires? Well, you found them! Both of these series involve conflicts with vampires, but in these cases, humans can actually obtain help from a few vampires. If you like getting shippy, you can also watch these, OnS has a lot more subtle implications though.

Both anime have female leads that are able to see and communicate with spirits. They're both Shoujo, and have girls falling in love, quite often. Inari and Nanami are both given the ability to see and communicate with the other world. They are meant to help others with their problems. Nanami is given the official title of land god, while Inari is just a simple girl who made a wish. Fox youkai are present in both.

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou
add

If you're into a lot of blood and gore, and love a lot of mystery, both these series are for you. Higurashi has a lot more psychological mind games, and torture, and Corpse Party is very much 'torture porn.' In both series, just about every character dies at one point of another. A lingering mystery is, how did it come to this, and why is it continuing?

I've found that pirate anime are hard to come by. OP focuses pretty much solely on pirates, but if you've been craving some more, AnY has an arc that is solely based around pirates. Chosen family is also very present in both series, and the mains will do anything to protect their friends. Occasionally allies are left behind, but they tend to be referenced and you get the feeling that they'll be back.

Okay, the main reason I'm recommending this is because the first ep of OnS reminded me so much of AoT. In both series, the main characters' worlds are turned upside-down by incredible creatures. OnS deals with an apocalyptic vampire attack, while AoT deals with an already apocalyptic world's fragile peace being destroyed. I both series the main characters have lost their families to these creatures, and have a strong desire for revenge. After the first couple of episodes, there is a time skip, and the mains have undergone tough training to be able to fight their opponents.

IF YOU LOVE BL YOU'LL RELATE TO THESE SERIES Watashi ga Motete Dousunda (Kiss Him, Not Me) revolves around a fujoshi, while Fudanshi Koukou revolves around a fudanshi. The only difference between these terms is that they're assigned to gender. They simply mean 'spoiled girl/boy' and have become know as people that love BL. In both series, the mains love everything BL, and even see it in their everyday lives. They go to conventions to buy Doujinshi, meets Fujoshi friends, and fan over meeting their dream artists.

Both of these stories are written by ONE, and have the same sense of humor. They started out as webcomics, although you'll notice that the style is different, as OPM got picked up by a bigger company, and got a new artist, although the story is still written by ONE. There are several theories that the worlds are actually connected. Mob and Saitama have very similar personalities, that are along the lines of emotionless, although they both have different reasons for such. Both build up their allies, and occasionally, foe turns into friend.

If superheroes are your thing, you'll enjoy both of these anime~ Both categorize under Shonen, and have aspects of comedy. Differing in places, such as the main of OPM being completely overpowered, the main of BNHA has to build himself up from the bottom, at the being of the series. (although later in OPM you find out that Saitama also had to build himself up) Both deal with getting into the biggest leagues, with OPM it's the Hero's Association, and with BNHA it's the U.A. School.

Both take place in post-apocalyptic worlds. Foreign species threaten all of humanity. Both series have definite BL elements as well, but No.6 is a lot more explicit with their relationships. It's fluff in a dangerous world all over ^^

Durarara!!
add

A bit of a weird recommendation, but if you like the aspect of constantly not knowing what's going on, constant thinking, and mind games, I recommend these series. Both have a dark theme, but Higurashi is A LOT more graphic and brutal. There is quite a lot of death and injuries in both series.

If you're into the style of Diabolik Lovers, but could do without the sexual harassment, I recommend Ozmafia. Ozmafia has the same art style as Diabolik Lovers, and if you'd want to play the games, both of them are very dark.

I love both of these series, and found both of them very enjoyable. Bakugan is a bit heavier than Pokemon, but both are for kids, so it's not too tragic. I find Bakugan, Yugioh, and Pokemon to all be very similar, but I can't include three in one recommendation. Bakugan deals with cards and little balls that turn into beasts of all sorts. The main character has a dragon bakugan, while one of his friends has a tiger. They also have different elements, although it's not as extensive as Pokemon's typings.

Okay, regrettably I don't like SAO, but if you like the concept of people going into games, and interacting, these are both for you. Baka Test is more of a comedy, if you can't take the impact of SAO.

They are written by the same authors, and have similar art styles. Both have in-depth mysteries that will have you questioning what's going on until the very end. Durarara is a lot longer running, which can expand the story a lot more, but Baccano also has a different atmosphere. If you like anime that aren't actually based in Japan, Baccano would be for you.

At first glance these anime only seem to have the BL element played at, but after watching Gakuen Heaven, I found that a lot of the scenes resembled each other. My favorite scene in Boueibu being the 'toothbrush scene,' I found it hilarious to see it duplicated in Gakuen Handsome. I do like the characters in Boueibu a lot more.

I really enjoy both of these stories, and they have many similarities~ 1) Both have strong female leads 2) The female leads both have to work to prove themselves 3) There are political restraints, and antagonists in the series. 4) Both take place in past times, Akatsuki no Yona seeming to take place in old Korea, and Akagami no Shirayuki-hime taking place in what I assume to be old England. 5) Both are at least somewhat of reverse harems 6) Both have phenomenal art styles 7) Involve life threatening conflicts 8) Both mains have unusually red hair

Both stories have similar main characters that become hardened through their experiences. Kaneki is a ghoul, and Kei is an Ajin. Both of them became their respective species by deadly experiences.
