This story was (surprisingly) very heartwarming and wholesome. It breaks down the typical age gap relationship manga and shows the reader how a relationship like this can be parasocial. Unlike most oneshota manga, it tells a more realistic and well developed story with fantastic characters that are constantly changing.
Highly recommend reading it, not for shota enjoyers but for anyone that wants a story about real characters that become better people and break out of the past pains in their life/childhood. I was shocked with how realistic the characters acted and how their troubles were portrayed I initially started reading the manga because I

This show is so bad it's good at times. As a fan of the games (get them on steam/JAST, it's cheap and better than the anime!), I mostly watched it to see some of my favourite scenes animated.
I think it's supposed to be watched after you play the games, and that's the only way I'd recommend it, can't imagine anyone getting into DMMd from just watching the anime alone. It's really poorly produced, so much so that it was incredibly funny to watch, but we did also get a bunch new songs SO as bad as it was I'm grateful it happened :) also ... May 10, 2022

More Sarazanmai what can I say, if you like the show you'll like this.
It's worth reading after you finish the anime because it gives extra scenes not in the show that feel like they'd really fit within the show's context and give extra depth to some characters, also it's just a fun read altogether. There's a bunch of well-kown BL & non-BL mangaka who've drawn for this & including Migi the character designer for the show, so it's a mixed bag, there's definitely some chapters that are better than others depending on your taste. Definitely recommended to fans who feel a bit empty after watching the ... May 27, 2021

ZeXal has really blown me away, it took everything I love about the original DM and made it better. (The reason I love ZeXal so much is probably because I love DM so much) also SPOILERS AHEAD:
The rogue gallery (Barians, Arclights, Dr Faker) were a lot more rounded and interesting than villains that came before. Like Vector for example, compared to Bakura who is pretty black and white in the fact that he's a good guy being possessed by an irredeemable bad guy, Vector had a lot more understandable backstory (even though there were parts that were cheesy and rushed), it felt like they sincerely ... |
