This is my first review so I apologize if it's lame.
When a friend of mine suggested Another to me, the first thing he told me was that there would be lots of blood and violent deaths. I love animes that involve deaths and blood but he made it sound like that was all there was. I decided to put it aside and start something else. It's been about half a year since he recommended it and I only got around to watching it about a couple months ago. Turns out I completely underestimated this anime. I honestly expected it to be boring and it was

at a certain point, but as the main character, Sakakibara Kouichi, started learning about the calamity that kept claiming the lives of innocent people, it got really interesting. I had a really good idea of how the show would end and was certain I was right but let me tell you... whatever you predict will most likely be wrong.
The art in Another was pretty good for the most part, although I have seen better. 8/10.
The sound/music was also really great because it added to the creepiness, ESPECIALLY THE OPENING. 9/10
To be honest, there wasn't too much character development but I did like the attitudes and actions of each characters. 7/10
I gave Another a 10/10 for enjoyment mainly because the plot was very interesting but also because of the deaths. Some of the deaths were really disturbing while some were actually hilarious to me. There were no noticeable plot holes in this anime, in fact, you even learn more about the female lead's past in the special episode.
I'm giving this anime an overall of 9/10. It's honestly really great! My only warning would be to not watch it if you're easily disturbed, i guess.
