TL;DR Chainsaw Man is a one of a lifetime experience. Even though the story at it's core is very simple, it certainly is not generic nor cliché. The plot may surprise even the veterans, yet it does not feel forced thanks to the world's unique atmosphere. Characters are believable, relatable and first and foremost, human. Artstyle is not objectively good, but the character designs are fresh and simply delicious. Humour is edgy and immature, but in those respective categories the comedy is very well delivered.

The Story - It is a simple one, but it serves astoundingly well as a tool to explore the characters. ... It takes place in a corrupt, pseudo post apocalyptic world. Humans can seem more monstrous than the devils themselves. It is not an exacly new premise, but the series shows it from an angle not yet explored in manga. In this story, a human life is a fragile thing. A mortal threat should not be taken lightly, as the plot armour is scarce.

The Characters - They are the reason this whole thing works. There is barely any exposition, as personalities are conveyed through actions, expressions and behaviours. A character won't act in a way necessary to further the plot. The plot is but a byproduct of actions taken. Thanks to that everyone stays true to themselves and feel like geniune human beings.

The Art - There is a certian degree of bueaty in there, but honestly speaking it is not splendid. Having said that, i am a huge fan of overall designs and creativity oozing from pages. There is a lot of gore, and everything seems dirty and ugly, which works perfectly with the setting.

Author does not hold back his horses, and you as a reader will be taken for a wild ride. I will stand for my point, that this series is created to be the purest, most primal and raw form of entertainment, and should be viewd as such. It works astonishingly well, delivers exactly what is supposed to and even exceeds expectations. So far, it is without a doubt a ten and I sincerely recommend it.
