The pinnacle of character writing!
While the protagonist, Rudeus, might be controversial for his over sexual personality, his journey is incredibly intriguing and engaging. The main cast feels realistic (for the world they inhabit) and fully fleshed out, carrying the story with their depth and complexity. The world-building and battles are fascinating, but it’s the characters and their hardships that truly make this story shine. SPOILER ALERT: The dynamic between Rudeus and Orsted was a major highlight. Yes, Rudeus is a pervert and has several wives, but his growth and relationships define the story. This is a series that should not be missed. It delivers everything you’d expect from the genre and more. The fights are exceptionally well-done, brimming with intensity and creativity, while the villains leave a lasting impression with their depth and complexity. The story is further elevated by a robust power system, a richly imagined world, and compelling characters on both the 'good' and 'evil' sides, making it easy to get invested in their journeys.
That said, it's not without a few flaws. The ending leaves some loose ends, leaving you wishing for just a bit more closure, and the beginning feels slightly disconnected from the tone ... |
