That might not be the best adaptation the manga could get but I have to admit that I cried a bit when Yatora got accepted to Geidai.
The voice acting was a bit weird at the beginning but in the end, it didn't bothered me at all and it might have just be a me problem.
I really enjoyed the exam part and I could really relate to Yatora even though I am no art student.
Honestly, I don't even know what I think about this anime but it definitely made me feel something and I really liked that. I planned to read the manga for a while,

Great manga, that is so unfortunate it is not well known.
The Doraemon inspiration is pretty obvious and the author doesn't hesitate to play with it. Beginning as a pretty simple comedy with a young Honmaru, it gets more mature and serious when the protagonist grows during the story. You got funny moments, fights, rivalry, friendship, love, etc, in short, everything that makes a good nekketsu. The fan service is really present but is well integrated. If I had to describe this manga shortly, it's a big mashup of Kimengumi, Doreamon and sport nekketsu. P.S.: Sorry if my sentences don't make sense, my English is kinda poor. |
