Bocchi the Rock! is the very definition of criativity.
The amount of effort, polishment, details and out of the box ideas this anime has will remind you of some of the classics: from SpongeBob SquarePants (yes, you will get where I'm coming from) best episodes to the legendary unforgettable moments of Nichijou.
You will laugh as hard as you did watching Asobi Asobase, so watch out.
Bocchi the Rock! is peak comedy and one of the best animes of the whole year, and will be one of the best comedy animes of the whole time (I dare say this with only half of the anime completed!)

It's a good anime ... to see youtube clips of it!
Review and recommendations:
RWBY anime had so much potential going for it: lovely character designs; GOD tier VAs like Saori Hayamin (as Ruby),
Youko Hikasa (as Weiss), Ami Koshimizu (as Yang), among other legends were in the cast; banger OP song and a fun premise around Weiss with some bizarre and interesting dreamlike character arc.
HOWEVER thanks to SHAFT being a terrible studio, with god awful schedule, RWBY: Ice Queendomn was robbed, and robbed HARD.
This was my first time actually experiencing RWBY franchise and I must say I'm sad and disappointed by how it turned out. The
...
anime has all the problems a rushed production can have and some more: awful animation multiple times, bad writting, terrible CG and 3D models, pacing and consistency issues...
I managed to finish it, mostly because Ruby Hayamin is way too cute!
My score is a 6 to recognize Hiroto Nagata good animation sequences among all the bad stuff around, but I can see people giving it a 4 or 5, due to how underwhelming it was at times.
I recommend to check later this scenes on youtube (if you're ain't feeling like diving into RWBY anime): Ruby dealing with the shop robbery on episode 1 and some parts of episode 11 battle (second half); Weiss and Pyrrha "Mirror Mirror" song performances; Weiss blushing scene (if she's your fav girl) on ep 11 as well; the "White Rose" (Ruby and Weiss) little scene on ep 9 if you're into this ship; and finally, the last episode, which was actually nice, having good pacing and decent writting.

It's a great word to reference this anime. It's also one of the best words to define "Ascendance of a Bookworm" main character, Myne.
She's the heart of this anime, carrying alongside her really strong traits that one can't help but keep smiling with her on screen. The little lady is insanely curious, imaginative, stubborn, brave and above all, has a brilhant mind. Blend this with the cuteness of a minituare creature 1,2m tall.
The anime does a amazing job in it's world building, with Myne facing hardships imposed by a "retro" world (by our current standards) which are increased by her social status of belonging
...
to a poor family and her life threating delicated health situation. All that while never giving up from her dreams to read and create books.
Impossible to talk about this anime and not to mention Lutz. The little boy is also the other big reason you watch this show. He's Myne other half, her best friend and companion, always there to comfort her in dire situations and give her the strengh she can't muster alone. Some of the best scenes are when the two are together, and I never see in other anime a mini couple as cute as this one!
If there's any weak points in this anime, it's probably the majority of it's secundary characters, especially the mom and sister who even after several episodes aren't exactly interesting (they have basic personalities). The great side characters are Benno, Frida and also Gunther, who is a fun character and great dad (with a lot of precious dad moments).
All in all, "Ascendance of a Bookworm" season 1 is a very original, memorable, engaging and emotional little story with a lot of heart into it. My score is a 9 and for sure it will be remembered for years by it's "readers".

Lycoris Recoil is the "ideal original anime" is what lots of people will say for years.
And if you asked me, they're absolutely right. Though when we talk about Lycoris Recoil being THE one original anime, I think we need to see a little beyond the quality of the anime itself (which, in advance I'll say: its pretty dang good!): we need to also see the passion of it's creators and their outstanding feedback to the community on the internet. It's something I won't forget, since it was it's own unique experience.
Director, writer, animators, ilustrators, voice actors, all of them, every week, after every little episode
...
preview (these should be on the Blurays -they're too good) or by the end of the episodes, they share their own piece of gratitude and express their love in working in this anime. You truly can feel it, and the feedback they receive in answer is amazing and shows: Lycoris Recol exploded due to it's high quality as a anime, but also thanks to a great energy from the internet (especially on japanese side who can actually read everything haha). LR was trending high every week on twitter and more than ten thousand fanarts were made before the anime is even over (Pixiv).
THE ideal original anime for me is this: one which is made with lots of heart put into it; made in advance to not overwook the staff and for ideas to flourish; outstanding execution of a somewhat fresh premise; super lovable characters; amazing art and designs which inspire lots of creators out there; insane VA energy with liberties to add to their own characters; flawless marketing strategy (and in good part, I could even say honest); and a amazing community who payback the creators their love.
It get's a 10 out of 10 score from me. It can change the industry I believe. Other studios will not only try to grab it's amazing VA cast or to hire their staff, or even to create animes with similar premises, they'll see how Lycoris Recoil performed in the internet, on twitter or other social medias, they'll look how Lycoris Recoil handled liberties with their staff, their VA cast (ad-libs,etc) or even try to copy the brilhant marketing that was executed around the tittle.
As for me, I will remember this whole experience, to watch Lycorus Recoil weekly with everyone and to feel this energy, for years.

The manga adaption of Lycoris Recoil is pretty nice so far.
Very good, clean and cute artstyle with great pannels to go along it.
It does a good job to portray in manga form the vibes of the characters, for example, Chisato and Mizuki faces are super expressive. And certainly Takina will get her cute faces through the chapters.
There's a change in the first action scene and a few small additons/changes in the character lines on the first chapters. I assume they're going to keep doing this to keep it fresh for anime fans.
So far, good job from Yasunori Bizen.
