If you're looking for a romance manga where the lead characters have actually good character development at a very good pace, then this is the right manga for you.
Story and characters stand out from other similar series in this genre, because the author has done the character and story progression in a very decent way. There's no beating around the bush, or hundreds of chapters of misunderstandings between the main characters, or anything like that. Every character has a very good personality to them and it outshines at the right time as well, they're wholesome, cute and enjoyable. The characters never felt annoying or cringe

This season is where the actual development of character starts happening. Ngl when I first started watching this show, I didn't think it would be this good. First few episodes felt cringe as it would've to any normal person. First 2 seasons had cringe moments yes, but I think we understand that somewhere during our own teenage life, even college life, we have all done cringe things, so I totally didn't mind.
Season 3 is where the character development really started, and so did the story development. This season actually starts building on Mizuhara and Kazuya's relationship with a very good plot imo. The cringe ... Jun 16, 2022

Okay, this anime caught me off guard with how good it is. I wasn't expecting anything out of ordinary but this really got me to the core. I'm not someone who's much into the musical genre but this was genuinely interesting and fun to watch. I really liked the music, the characters, the world setting, and the narrative.
Kongming is just a flawless example of a good character design. Loved his character and strategies throughout the series. The character development of Eiko and Kabe-taijin was also very well done. Overall, a must-watch for most people. Just as how it's said in the anime, music has ... May 11, 2022

Solid 9/10
I hate to rate any anime before it's completely aired but reading the reviews here, I had to do it. Reading the reviews on this anime also made me realize how wrong reviews can be in terms of judging something, especially this show. It's a great show IMO. This show is totally wholesome and lovely to watch. The art is fabulous and extremely well done. The story is where people tend to misjudge the show. As another reviewer pointed out, these days people expect a certain sense of masculinity from a guy in a relationship, and when the roles are reversed, like in this ... Jan 24, 2022
10/10 Masterpiece.
A must-watch. I haven't watched such a beautiful masterpiece in a long time and this really made it all the way to my heart. I was able to connect on a mental and emotional level with the characters in this series, and that is something that rarely happens with most animes that are out these days. The characters are very well thought of, along with the story, given the total runtime is only around 110 minutes (excluding the end credits). The art is surprisingly great for the time of its release (1995). Character building is also fluent along with the story. Time leaps ... Jan 16, 2022

I never thought I'd be reading something like this but after I started reading it, I got somehow hooked to the manga. This romance/slice of life is kind of my second/third because I usually don't watch/like much of the stuff in this genre due to either being too much on the harem or weird side but this manga really gave a comfy, relaxing, and enjoyable feel to me for me to be able to continue on and on.
Talking about the characters, the personality development of both the male mc and female mc has been quite good. I personally like the cheerful and positive personality of ... Sep 9, 2021
Horimiya stands out from other romantic/slice-of-life genre animes. The relationship between Hori and Miyamura progresses very quickly as opposed to other creations in this genre. This left me with a kind of flat feeling during some episodes of the latter half of the season.
For the most part, I enjoyed it. What I didn't like is how there's little to almost no focus on the main characters, Hori and Miyamura, once they're together and instead, it shifts to the side characters for the most part. It was kind of a downer to me because it felt more of a filler, as I was expecting to ... Jul 29, 2021
One of the best and satisfying romantic comedy show I've ever watched. The storyline is great, the character development is awesome, especially in this 3rd season, it's pretty great since you get to know a lot more about the personal lives of each character.
The build-up during the whole season and the release of that build-up was phenomenal. The ending was pretty satisfying too. OSTs are also great, I could almost never skip any of them really. Overall, awesome show, a 9.5/10 from my side and I would totally recommend it to anyone, even the one's who don't watch much romantic stuff (coz I'm one ... |
