Webtoon Character Na Kang Lim is a story about an ordinary average guy who has his favorite characters from a harem webtoon he likes called "Escape: 6 Wives" or ESW for short, isekai'd into HIS world. The issue is the protagonist didn't come with them, but all the conflicts did. Kang Lim takes it upon himself to save these girls and reach a happy ending, because they're his favorite characters
And here in lies why I give this manhwa a 10/10. The characters. Intially it seems like your average anime tropes. The harsh tsundere (Da Hee), the deredere (Miya), the yandere (Na Ri), Mesugaki, Childhood
...
friend, etc.
First lets start of with the protagnist himself. Na Kang Lim. Having re read the story I came to the realization that fundamentally... Na Kang Lim doesn't change much. But thats ok. Hes a good person from start to finish, an otaku from start to finish, and a "I hate myself" type from start to finish. Its what DOES change about him, the little it is that makes this manhwa great. Kang Lim learns that its ok for him to be loved, and that its not because he's stepping in for the protagonist of ESW the reason why the girls fall for him, its because they love HIM, and only him, which wraps beautifully in what seems to be the climax arc. I won't spoil anything. He realizes that he doesn't love the characters of ESW, but the people who came from there. They're not characters, they're people, they have their own experiences, troubles, and lives, and Kang Lim realizes that that's what he loves, (and Jung Ah who's not from ESW). He learns that he isn't a loner and he thrived when he's with others and it breaks him when they're seemingly gone.
Next we have the heroines. To save time in this review I'll say that each heroine had at LEAST one very impactful arc that makes you want to cheer for them more than any of the others. Each girl has their moments and I would completely understand why Kang Lim chooses that girl, should it not be the harem ending. They also change a lot in the story and they grow as people with Kang Lim. There are 7 main heroines. In order of their appearance in the merged world (even in just cameos) it would be Yoo Da Hee, Park Jung Ah, Seo Chun Ja, Cha Sirin, Yoo Na Ri, Ju Ra Mi and Kwon Miya.
Maybe Kang Lim would choose Ra Mi with their shared loneliness, or Cha Sirin both being people learning to fit in and getting out of their shell, or Jung Ah, always being there for Kang Lim even when times are tough, being the girl who liked him even before the arrival of the heroines, or Da Hee, the poster girl and her and Kang Lim discovering their love for each other slowly, or Na Ri, needing someone to handle her because she needs someone to tell her that she can do it, or maybe even Kwon Miya, who Kang Lim thinks he failed and regrets not being there for her when she needed it each girl has multiple (this being a glorified oversimplification) reasons why they can be chosen as the harem winner, thats if it isn't a harem ending, which as the reviewer is what I personally would prefer
The main antagonist is also great. However they're also a massive spoiler so I will not be saying anything here. I will say the author does a good job making them likeable and funny but also hateable and you can't help but wish they lose, a classic good villian.
The setting of WCNKL is great too. It's like Re Zero as a high school drama but it definitely has its own identity. It's more light hearted than Re Zero but also deals with heavy topics like suicide, stalking, and obsession and still manages to hold its key as a romcom first while not being insulting to the topics its handling.
Overall Webtoon Character Na Kang Lim is a fun story about love and overcoming loneliness, its a story I would recommend to anyone who's interested in the harem genre and anyone looking to read and binge a heartwarming story about a completely lonely otaku loser.

Hello! My rating may be 10/10 but in reality its more like a 6-7/10. Its 10/10 because I'm incredibly biased
Blue Archive the animation is an adaptation of the gacha game made by Korean game company Nexon Games. It follows Sensei (the player character) as he follows his students around in their daily lives, spending time and learning more about them and the world they live in.
Here in lies the first problem and in my opinion one of the biggest ones. Sensei. In the game we follow Sensei's perspective, as he is a self insert type character and thus its also OUR perspective. That is not
...
the issue here. Sensei is NOT the main character in the anime, the main focus is one of the girls, but its usually Shiroko. Sensei thus ends up feeling unnecessary, and the viewers have a hard time wondering WHY he's so important to the girls and why the world would quite literally end without him. In the game because it's his perspective we follow, we get to see him interact with his students one on one not just as a group, thus he ends up forming bonds with them as individuals, and the students actually finding Sensei so important suddenly makes a lot more sense. Also he steals lines students say which butchers his timid, kind nature the anime gives him and make him feel arrogant. Why the hell would they give him a line Nonomi says?
The anime should have taken the classic harem anime route because Blue Archive is at its best when focusing on Sensei and his relationship with each of the girls instead of the girls only cast route. Although looking at the director's resume I'm not suprised it ended up taking the latter.
Next we have the pacing. Oh the pacing. It's far too fast, if it wasn't for the fact I know the entire story so far I would have been seriously confused. Now, one might sag thats ok because it isn't made for new players and watchers but veterans like me, but at that point I'd rather re read the entire story with a voice over. I'll give an example. In episode 5 a certain restaurant gets blown up. One of the girls, Serika, happens to love this restaurant as she works there and is devastated by its destruction and is seriously pissed. Thats what happens in the game. However in the anime because they're trying to feed 24 visual novel like chapters into 12 episodes they don't have time to stop and see Serika's reaction so it only seems like shes mildly annoyed by its destruction. One could argue that "24 episodes is too long I like to watch a quick anime, I'd tell you, then mind as well read a summary of each chapter because at this point thats what this anime is. A summary of 2 chapters of the game". One could also say theres not enough material to which I say with the approach they're going with yes, but had they taken the harem anime approach we would be able to see Sensei interact with the girls individually which is through the bond stories which are canon and take place on story.
The characters. I've already said my issue with Sensei. Vol 1 which is what the anime is based on is focused on Hoshino (as the secondary protagonist) and her feelings about her school and the debt they have, and as the senior what SHE can do about it. However the anime is focusing on Shiroko who gets her spotlight at least 100 chapters later. What this results in is Hoshino's development she had being reduced and Shiroko, who honestly barely changes in vol 1 seeming stagnant as a character and it ends up affecting everyone else too. Serika technically gets development but they don't go anywhere with it and she just ends up going back to how she acted before her arc. This again could be solved, *if they used the damn momotalks and bond stories* where we get to see the girls on their own and as individuals and how they interact and grow with Sensei one on one. Again we could see why Sensei means so much to them, and how it affects them as individuals.
Next the music: Good, just doesn't sound like Blue Archive. If you listen to Blue Archive's soundtrack in game you would immediately notice how drastically different it is compared to the anime. Probably doesn't help none of the 3 main composers or like any of the game staff actually helped with the anime. The music just... doesn't work that well.
The artstyle and animation: It sucks compared to the game. Some shots look like studio Deen did it during SDS. No one expected some amazing art and animation but definitely not... that bad. The artstyle itself looks like a washed down, almost bland version of the game. The fight scenes are boring, which isn't a problem since Blue Archive is a lot of SOL but the thing about SOLs is they make up for mediocre animation with a beautiful artstyle and Blue Archive in its anime state does not have said beautiful artstyle.
Doesn't help we've been spoiled by Studio Ppuri who has done animation for the Korean/Global version of the game and shows that not only can Blue Archive be directly adapted one to one, but have heavenly animation and fight choreography. They are 30 second pvs and thus usually are higher quality although I also think thats a lame excuse since JP version has their own pvs (animed by Yostar) and they look significantly worse, and a lot like the anime.
Overall. Just read the story on YouTube or something. Please. Blue Archive is by no means a masterpiece but it is still a wonderful story many people (mostly fans of the harem and girls only cast) can enjoy.

Note: This is a p0rnhwa. Also note: Very enjoyable in more ways than one. To be honest it's been a long time since I finished it so my memories are minimal. From what I do remember, this manhwa has enjoyable characters and great dynamics. The villians actually feel threatening and the main protagonist (albeit a little bland) and the main girl (who is just Hatsune Miku + Shana; pigtails, loli (albeit oppai), tsundere) (Note: this is not a bad thing). The storyline can get a little confusing it times yet it's not something difficult to understand. However where this p0rnhwa really stands out is the
...
art. The actions scenes are beautiful and the uh- cultured scenes are just as beautiful. Overall I definitely enjoyed it and recommend it to those wondering why p0rnhwa always seem to pop up on their tab

I gave it an 8 since an 8 for me is that it met expectations good or bad. This is uh... interesting. The main girl is unlikeable and I think that's kind of the point. She's a toix son of a bi-. The main boy is head over heels for her like the premise says yet this little man is aware than he's not better than her. This self awareness makes me root for him that he can leave this toxic relationship. Which I also think is kinda the point. Overrall it's met my expectations and has flexibility to turn any way so I'm interested
