Angel Beats! Emm...probably my favorite anime(well at least one of them) It is unique...It has a special vibe. I mean this may be the only anime(from what I know) that tells tragedy and comedy so naturally at the same time in just 13 episodes.
Well it is a story about a group of dead teenagers kind of had a afterlife in a school where was full of NPCs. The setting of the story is quite unique. I was kind of shocked by the idea that people who got freed from the suffering would reborn, and therefore dispear in this afterlife world. That's cruel.

world were suffering in their lives. The elder sister who blamed herself for not protecting her sibilings, the disabled girl curious about everything but can do nothing but lie in bed, the boy of good ancestry tired of being a puppet...
Yuzuru... The real angel and probably the best protagonist. He stayed calm when he came to the school, thought independently(Most of us may just accept this environment...) And yes. of course I was captivated by him after watching episode9. You can really see his dignity under such circumstances......He is the reason why the rest of them survived from the accident but the hero died right before the aid came with the organ donation consent form in his hand...... that's sad.
Well let me break into some specific aspects to check the rate.
Sound 10/10
The op is amazing and I got to say MY SONG sang by Iwasawa in episode 3 is just great. Well Iwasawa is a cool character too.
And I really like the special sound effect in this anime. It really made me feel like playing galgame.
Character 8/10
This is difficult for me. The character is good. The talks between them are just like those we had back in the school days. It is funny because it was just so real. And I really appreciated the anime offered some internal monologue of Yuzuru. The lines are concrete. They are really good at using these lines. I literally cried when I heard Yui said she wanted to be married. It was not mentioed before but reasonable enough to come up. Because the shape of characters are great.
But it is truly a pity that we only had 13 episodes here......So we dont know much about the background storied of the other characters like Noda, T.K.(I'm really interested in T.k. but...... the anime did not describe much) So I think it is not fair enough to give 10 out of 10 in Character. Of course the shape of some characters are great like Yuzuru. But there are too many blanks. Well......you cant ask for more in just 13 episodes. So I'm cool with it.
Art 10/10
I feel like it's a different kind of styles compared to Kyoto Animation(for example Koe no Katachi). It does have, like, a very delicate art style. But I guess I just like the vibe. The use of shadow and lights is amazing.
Story 9.5/10
I got to say there are some parts that I was not so into......I would really emo if Yuzuru would stay in this school alone. Feeling so good to see they met each other in their second life hh. You cant do this to Yuzuru. And I really want to see more about their daily life maybe I will go to play the galgame of it and watch some OVAs.
Enjoyment 10/10
This anime really made me feel like I was playing a game. The Key coffee Yuzuru driank everytime during the transition. I saw 13 within like 2 days so of course...... great enjoyment. This kind of immersion in Angel Beats! made it unique.
