Story: 9.2/10

The series follows the story of two alchemist brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who want to restore their bodies after a disastrous failed attempt to bring their mother back to life through alchemy.

FMAB's story is refreshing and captivating. There are many tragic moments in the Anime. Many people complained about the first few episodes being rushed, I for some reason didn't really feel the same way. Interesting setting and world building kept me engaged. Story's narration was impressive. The only problem I faced was ... the bad comedy, It decreased the overall enjoyment by a little bit

Art: 8/10

Not the best I wanted honestly, The characters has very simple design and art style is cartoonish. But the colors were pleasing to my eyes and the action scenes were drawn out very well. FMAB's light yellowish vibe and European setting is the first thing that flashes in my eyes when I think about it

Soundtrack: 9/10

FMAB's soundtrack is very consistent. All of it's OP and ED are insanely good. For the OST's I think they could've increased the variety but still great nevertheless

Character: 8.8/10

Ed and Al aren't much good. But Roy Mustang is the definition of a true badass character, too bad Levi imitated him and got more popularity. FMAB has strong female character such as Riza Hawkeye and Olivier Armstrong. They introduced the Xingese character which weren't in original FMA and they did a pretty good job. The main villians are extremely well written for a shonen. Most shonen features absolutely dumb villians, FMAB is a good exception

Enjoyment: 9/10

FMAB is constantly praised for it's appeal to all ages. It features action, comedy, sorrow all. Both child and adult can enjoy the show to the fullest.
It's not worthy of "Best Anime of All Time" but it's worthy of "Best Shonen of all time"

Overall: 9/10

It's 9 been years since it was finished but it's still so critically acclaimed. FMAB has some flaws but it's worth being loved. You must give it a try or you are missing out something!

====MY FIRST REVIEW====
I had an absolute pleasure watching this. Before I started watching I thought it would be a mediocre, childish anime but oh boy I was so wrong! It exceeded my expectations by a mile.

The first few episodes when the true horror begins got me into grabbing popcorn. The mid ones were slightly less interesting because of slowing down of story progression, although I still enjoyed them a lot nevertheless. The characters were excellent

Then the last few episodes and ending hit me like a truck. The ending was so beautiful and so emotional I couln't held myself, one of the best ending in ... any anime. The soundtracks were pretty good.

Overall in a word "Extraordinary"

This is not my favourite Anime but I think it would inevitably end up as one if the next season is executed perfectly, till then fingers crossed
