Story (8):
I saw a lot of people complaining about the drama in this manga, but I actually don't think it was that overdramatic at all. I mean, if you are writing about a disabled person, if this person's life is a lot more difficult than yours of course is gonna be a lot more dramatic as well. The mangaka doesn't lie. Actually, the problem wasn't the facts, just the way the author talked about them, so emotionally. I think the autor did it wrong because she was trying to make you feel pity of Ayukawa much more than criticising the way he was treated, wich
...
I think it was the objective at first. No, more than trying to make you feel pity, I think Rie (the author) itself though this people were pitiable (but she didn't notice) and was trying to rub right in your face how much strong disabled people are and trying to make our consciousness oblige us to treat then better and with care. I think she's the one that's too emotional. But personally I would feel a lot worse about my condition if I knew the people around me were so conscious about it. The word "disabled" doesn't stop being said even for a second, like she doesn't want you to forget about that. There's a lot of emotional talks wich I think it was unnecessary, because people usually don't feel that comfortable to talk about they're deepest feelings so easily. I'm a really emotional person and I can't talk about myself that much even with my mother.
Another think I didn't like about Perfect World it was just how fast the events passed by. But I can't complain about that because it's a slice of life and the reason I usually don't like slice of life is exactly because of that. I can't complain about the existence of romance in a manga of romance, right? But it was a problem because of the drama. You can't just do it like every day in a disabled person's life is sad and life threatening. I already talked about it with a guy that lives in a wheelchair and he said that is not usual for him to go to the hospital for such dangerous problems in such a tiny period of time like Ayukawa did. But, again, I understand that the author did that because she wanted to show us everything a disabled person can pass by in just a few chapters. The manga is more didactic and critical than anything.
But, beside that, I don't think it's a terrible manga. The plot is interesting and I learned a lot. I said it was didactic because I didn't know people in wheelchairs had that much health problems at all. I though they just could't walk. Besides, I really liked the romance and, in this point, I liked how fast it was. It's cute and I like of the actually normal chapters were they just overcome usual disabled person's problems. But I would no recommend this manga if you are a depressed person or is in a bad day. You're just going to get worse. But, if you like overemotional plots or just enjoy different kinds of couples I think it's worth giving it a shot.
SPOILER!
Besides, I don't like when the protagonists go so far with the "rivals in love" as Kawana did. I actually don't even like when there is rivals, but I'm used, since every manga that deals with romance has them. I understand the argument that Perfect World looks a lot with shoujos even though it is a josei. I just looked at the raws, but if it is what I'm thinking the autor also found a
really lazy way to solve the couple problems. I'm mean, it has a chance that Kawana lost her ability to walk as well. Maybe she didn't, since I didn't understand a word, but she was in a wheelchair.
Art (8):
Really enjoyed the art. Is cute, though is not the most beautiful and detailed art I've ever seen, but I doubt you will find something to complain about here.
Characters (6):
Well... Nothing special. Too emotional characters, too insecure and predictable. Ayukawa was more interesting when he was a teen. The rivals aren't that interesting as well, they're just annoying. It's not like they are terrible or anything, they're just nothing special. I didn't love them. But I did liked Maika, I think she should be the MC, hahaha. She's so energetic when dealing with the "disabled" thing.
Enjoyment (7):
Yes, I enjoyed. Even with all the bad things it is worth your time. I complained about it being too emotional, but I don't care that much. Usually I like well worked out drama, like Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (wrong couple, but the story itself is amazing). I just dropped it for a while cause I was really scared about Kawana being with the rival at the end instead that being with Ayukawa, that's why I read the raw and saw the both together before starting to read it again. And, even though I didn't gave it an amazing remark I actually think you should give it a try before putting it aside. At least 4 chapters. Who knows, you can love it, specially if you like mangas that talk about different kinds of persons and criticise society with lots of moral lessons and with romance to make it all better. It's not as good as Koe no Katachi, but the style is similar (not as heavy and abrupt with the critics), so if you liked it you may like Perfect World as well. If you don't, you will learn a lot. Actually, I had to put my feelings aside so I could make a good review, because I wanted to give it a nicer remark, since it looks like the mangaka gave her best to accomplish her objectives with this manga. Well, I did say I'm really emotional.
PS: I did not read it until the end and I don't know if it can get a lot better, so maybe I will give it a higher (or lower) rate next time. Man, that's why I don't like rating mangas that I did not read til the end...

If you really hate clichès, keep your eyes far away from this manga. Even though it's not bad, looks like a compiled of another thousand others. One character is related to an animal (guy=rabbit in the case), the guy is rich, popular (womanizer) and false, the girl ("childhood friend", though she denies) is the only one who knows he is not what it seems, she hates him (or wants to hate) because of that but she actually likes him. The girl is tough, direct and kinda cold (and, believe it? She has a rabbit at home). The guy is actually lonely because his parents are
...
never home, she feels pity for him, help him, and they become close. No surprise at all, at least in the first chapter.
Story (6): As I said, clichès everywhere. I don't know if something I said counts as a spoiler, since everyone was waiting for it. Art (8): Not gonna lie, I liked the drawing. It remembers Namaikizakari a lot, but better. Characters (6): Did I said clichè? They don't surprise you at all. You will understand when you read it. But I do think the guy is pretty charismatic (much more than the girl), maybe cause I like expressionless+direct characters. They're kinda funny. (Namaikizakari, again. Is it a copy? Maybe it is. If you liked one, you at least will not hate the other). Enjoyment (8): Clichès existis because they're secure. You will never hate them. This manga just have clichès, so you don't actually hate anything. It's good to kill time and you will stop reading in a good humor (if you don't hate clichès). Overall (7): Typical. Is a shorter Namaikizakari. If you have time and/or are bored, take a look. I don't have much to say since it's so alike another mangas, but that's it. If you want a pretty fast romance, this manga is for you, as well. But, since is taking so long to update, I don't know if I recommend it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS!
I wanted to make sure that everybody knows I'm doing this review really soon, and I barely know anything about this anime. I just know the protagonists, but I'll definitely do another review when I get to episode 10. Story (8): The story is the biggest salvation of this series. I found it interesting, even though it's not exactly original or uncommon. Basically, Yuno and Asta (they have girls names but they are boys) are orphans founded by a priest (is unknown if they are brothers or not, at least until now). Yuno is really powerful when it comes to magic power and i ... has an interesting pendant wich I'm really curious to know more about, but Asta has no powers at all (and no interesting pendant). (spoilers from now on) But Asta wanted to become the Magician King, and he though he would be able to use magic when he gained a grimoire. Well, he didn't, and it looks like that's pretty impressive. But then, while saving Yuno and his 4 leaves grimoire, he magically gained a 5 LEAVES grimoire wich cames from nowhere. And I though the author lost his chance there, because the fifth leave should mean "power". If it did, it would make sense why Asta had no powers at all, because all of his powers would be at the grimoire, but no, because the fifth leave had a "demon". And I want to understand that too. Art (5): Animation is terrible and I didn't like the art at all. It has it's moment, but they are few. I think Yuno should be handsome, but I don't agree with that at all. Not just that, but every time they're distant it's notable that they're faces get messed. Actually, faces get messed every time. I think the art must be beautiful if you compare with an anime from 10 years ago, but actually the art is just mediocre. Sound (5): I didn't hate Asta's voice actor at all. Actually, I pity him very much. Even though he has a good voice they told him to keep screaming in a character that would destroy the career of any voice actor that would try. I think he will never be able to get another job again, and it's not even his fault. When Asta isn't screaming, I like his voice. Oh, but of course, ASTA SCREAMS ALL THE TIME! I can even see it: He just did one supporting character in his career, then the director show's up and ask "want to be the voice of the main character?" and he said "really!?", then the director told him to scream and the poor kid doesn't even know this is the last series he's going to have the (un)pleasure to do. They chose him because none good voice actor would accept doing such a character. I though it was interesting at fist, seeing a character with such a crazy mania, but it's really annoying the way he extends all the last vowels. Nobody does that! I usually don't pay attention to the music background unless I see an exciting scene or the music just don't match the situation at all. Then, since none of this happened, I think the music background was fine. Characters (5): I don't think they are interesting at all. Specially Yuno. I liked him when he was a child, but after that he just have his power. "I can't be kind with Asta anymore", man! That doesn't make any sense! It's because his your "rival"? You can't be kind with your rival even though you are friends as well? What the hell it's going on? Seriously, I think this series should have a bit more of drama, because it would fit so well! If I was in Asta's shoes I would have cried at least once, because everybody's saying he's a piece of shit and he's always being humiliated, thats so terrible! I think I would have liked Asta more if he had showed more human fellings, because he would always just act with determination even though the entire city was laughing at him. I didn't had the chance to cheer for him, because he didn't need my cheering. This anime just lose all it's chances to make something good. The other characters are just predictable and have nothing interesting about them, just like they are robots. Enjoyment (4): It's decent. At least, the site said "4" means decent, so I think it's fine. And it's true, if it wasn't decent I wouldn't be able to keep watching. The only thing that keeps me watching it's the hope that this series can become something good, who knows? Direction (1): I really think "direction" should be rated when we're talking about animes, and this anime's direction is shit. Like I said, he lost all his chances to make this series good. I'm always confused when the episode begin with some flashback that came from nowhere, and when they talked about the first Magic King wich killed the demon I though that flashback was really bothersome. The king didn't looked like he was tired of the fight or did any sound, it was strange! And that demon was so weird! This director is terrible, I'm telling you. I searched his previous jobs and I even though "what? I liked this anime", and then I saw he just did 1 episode of each one of them. And, even so, it wasn't animes that I loved. I didn't know any of the animes he directed from the beginning to the end. Actually, I don't know if the director is bad, but he did a very bad job at Black Clover. Overall (5): 8+5+5+5+4+1/6=4,6666..., but I call it a "5". Could have been a lot better.

Toshokan Sensou: Love & War
(Manga)

Recommended Preliminary
(37/90 chp)
I wish I could rate the competency of the author as well. I saw a review saying this manga has quite clichè characters and, well, that's true. But I'm starting to learn that clichès are not what matters and, yes, if they are well worked or not. This one is really well worked, that's why an 8 story + 7 character resulted in 10 enjoyment.
Story (8): This story wins lots of points for creativity. The Japanese government creates a law wich censors several books, but since the city government has enough independence to create their on laws they create one wich protects libraries, saying they can ... provide any book an protect them with their lives. And them, a war begins. Yes, a war, with people dying, because of fucking books. I admit it's hard to take the story seriously because I could never put my life at risk to protect a book. Strike? All right, but a war? But that's exactly what's interesting about Library Wars, nobody else would never write such a thing. Nobody would never think abou such a thing. And the plot actually makes you value books more, not because they're books, but because it's just wrong to have a government saying what you can read/know and what you can't. Makes you value the knowledge. What I didn't like about Library Wars's plot was Dojo being Iku's prince. God knows how I hate when a character falls in love with another because discovers his "that guy from that time". People change, that's like falling in love with a dream. But it didn't pissed me of that much because Iku was actually starting to like Dojo before she knew that. BUT I still wanted the prince to be another person. Characters (7): I'm not gonna lie, they're clichè. Iku is predictable, just like Dojo, Tezuka, Komaki and, well, everybody. But the author, just like I said before, worked them very well. I liked very much Iku's problem with her parents, because I completely understanded her. It's hard to do what you love when your parents say your not fit for it, you get very angry and sad, even though they are not exactly bad parents. Iku's not fit for being an Force Agent, but she likes it, so she will not just give up. I understad that as well. It's because you understand her that she's good even though she's a clichè. Now, Dojo. Man, I love him so much! Just like Iku, I understanded him. I'm happy he didn't said to Iku that he was her prince and, not just that, he said "she likes somebody else". THAT'S IT! If she liked the Dojo wich saved her from having her book stoled, and in another situation wouldn't do so, then she doesn't like the actual Dojo. That makes quite a sense. He's a "tsundere" because, in the beginning, he wanted her to give up because of her reasons, and after that he just acted like the tough boss he's like since the beginning, with everybody. He just looks tougher with Iku because she makes several mistakes so... Well, hi's her boss. I don't think he liking her is a clichè, you can't blame him, he has his reasons. He likes that, unlike him, she would actually put herself at risk to save somebody's book. I like that as well. I hate when an authority don't do the right thing because it's going to get ugly for them, and I know several people who would do so. I think Shibasaki's pretty interesting. She's a tough girl, but she seemed arrogant to others an that mades her loose friend, so she starts acting cute. It looks like me, actually. I shipped her with Asahina in the beginning but, well, it wasn't meant to be. She could be actually my favorite character. Tezuka's another clichè character saved by his story. He's "mister perfection" because he tried hard to be like his brother, but that brother disappointed him and, even so, he couldn't stop himself from looking up to him. I thanked God because somebody actually noticed Iku wasn't fit for her job, and got angry because of that, even though he noticed she had her strong points. Actually, she showed herself to being useful several times. Art (8): Is above average, and I think it's quite beautiful. Enjoyment (10): Here it is! Besides all the bad things, I still had quite a good time reading this. I'm sad I can't read any more online, but I'm thinking seriously about buying it. It's pretty good. I just can't stop reading, it's marvelous. I think it's worth reading! Overall (9): 8+8+7+10/4=8.25. But I gave it a 9 because of the competence of the author. He deserves it.

Wolf Guy: Ookami no Monshou
(Manga)
add
Recommended
As a huge fan on this manga, I would like to warn you about some things in this story: First, it's heavy, and for psychologically strong people. If you are not, don't just say this manga is terrible, because it's perfect. You're the weak one. Are we clear? The reason why I wanted to review a manga I first saw 2 years ago it's because I saw a lot of reviews that hated Wolf Guy for the same reason: Weak heart. "Oh, Aoshika is raped for 5 chapters in a manga with 117 chapters, so that makes me hate the entire plot", for God sake,
...
stop. "Oh, but a guy is raped as well, in a really traumatic and mortal way", alright, if you have such a weak heart why did you read a manga wich warned you about violence? Of course is gonna be violent! What was you hopping for, Naruto? That's a Seinen, not a Shounen, I'm sorry if it's too much for you, but that doesn't destroy the manga. Actually, makes it even more amazing. To begin with, I'm sorry, but Aoshika's Rape was the most realistic thing in Wolf Guy. Yoshiaki, the author, was trying to show Aoshika's feelings the best he could. When a girl is raped it looks like it has no end, that was her point of view, that's why it took so many chapters even though it was just one day. He did a great job. That wasn't for yours, or his, entertainment, it was to make it more realistic. You felt a hollow inside? That's amazing, that was the objective, you tough it was for you to like it? Of course not! Read it, get traumatized, and make sure to never be a raper, because that are girls right now passing by much worse moments and being raped for a lot more guys. At least Aoshika was drugged, that was almost kind of them. It exists amazing movies, wich nobody complains about, with much more traumatizing things. I already saw a movie wich talked about a true story of persons trafficking, and the girl was raped with a fucking pipe. A real story. So stop being a pussy and try to understand what this manga is trying to teach you: Rape is a terrible thing and you shouldn't do it. If this manga had no moral then Aoshika would have been excited on being raped while thinking "Oh, I shouldn't be liking it, Inugami, I'm sorry", but no, she hated it, she got traumatized forever and could barely talk to people after that. She went insane. That was not wrong, was reality, accept this. You don't have to enjoy this part of the story to make it good, of course I hated, but I was amazed because it was so well worked, because I saw the badass protagonist experiment a kind of loss he never did before. Maybe you can say "But he won the fight!", did he? The woman he loved was raped for a lot of guys, he's body was completely destroyed and he didn't even wanted this fight. That's a mature manga, and if you are a cute person wich only likes shoujo and the shounen "violence", wich is a lot different from a seinen violence, then you're just not the target audience for Wolf Guy. The manga had an open ending that destroyed all the readers, but thats cause Ookami no Monshou is an adaptation of a manga older than my mother, and the rest of the manga was just not adapted, but it exist. The art is a lot worse, but it's there, you just have to go after it, what can be quite hard. I couldn't find it online, I think I'll have to upload it.
Now, I'm gonna make a short review, since I talked so much Story (8): Considering just the adaptation, Ookami no Monshou lose points for having and somewhat open ending and, of course, for the unrealistic story. Yes, it's fantasy, but the characters (15 years old) look like adults, act like adults, think like adults, they're just too mature and too crazy for been teens. But, besides that, the story it's just amazing, just like everything about Wolf Guy. Akira is a werewolf, one of the last (he thinks he's the last) werewolf alive in the earth. All werewolves are really unlucky, maybe cursed, and because of that bad people always get involved with him, even if he's a good person at heart and hates fights. He's pacific, and he's really pride of the nobility of wolves. He sees humans as stupid and weak, egoistic creatures wich he has to endure, but of course, that's cause only bad people get involved with him. Since he attracts bad people, he needs to transfer schools, but no school wants him, so he goes to a school were all the worse delinquents go to, since they're not accepted by other schools. It was initially a good school, and has a lot of smart students, but they are all oppressed by dangerous delinquents, like Haguro, the son of a Yakuza leader. In this school that only cares about image, and little about it's students, he mets Aoshika, his extremely hot teacher, and with time they fall for each other. They're relationship is just perfect, you just cannot hate it. Alright, the story basically talks about Akira and the dark side of humanity he meets because of his bad luck. I wanted to detail every single arc of the story. I cannot say more because, if I did, I would stay the rest of my life here, but it's quite amazing. Characters (10): Wolf Guy has some of the most incredible characters I've ever seen. The mangaka somehow managed so that even the secondary characters were well worked. Akira: He's the protagonist. It's just impossible to not love him, he's proudfull, sarcastic, and kinda funny. He's noble, just like the wolves. He keeps his cool even in the worst situation with a smirk on his face and has quite the ability to annoy arrogant people, since he proves without strength that he's above them. Tough, direct and fair, he's not interested in making people like him, saying what he think it's right and showing in his voice that if he's sure of what he says, but he doesn't say anything when it doesn't concern him or when his not pushed. He's quite kind hearted, though he tries to prove even for himself that he's not, since he thinks humans doesn't deserve help. Yes, he's quite a guy, my crush forever. He's quite obsessed with his own race and researches a lot about wolves and werewolves, even writing about it, not only because that makes him even more proudfull about being a werewolf but because everybody knows so little about it that he wants to write a book being loyal to the reality, and not the fantasy, about werewolves. Aoshika: She's mature in the most part of the story and, as a teacher, she tries to be respectful (hard, since everything she wears looks quite inappropriate in her) and tough, but she can't, since her class has the worst delinquents and she can't do anything against them even though she tries her best. But sometimes, specially with our protagonist, she looks kinda immature and even dumb, wich can be really funny sometimes, specially because she's trying so hard to do things she's gonna be pride of. She's optimist and negative at the same time, since she recognizes she's very unlucky (and complains about it all the time) but she always think "this time, if I do it like that, I will be able to overcome this", and I like this part of her. Her bad luck is closely related to her astonishing body, wich seems to turn anyone in a potential raper. Poor woman. Haguro: Psychopat, crazy, scary, monstrous Akira's classmate. This guy is just too much. Imagine someone that will rip your fingers without changing his expression. Before meeting Akira he didn't smiled at all, he was cold, patient, smart and was satisfied with his trone. But Haguro has a problem, he's so cool because he never met someone who could stand with him. He's just too strong. He's an undefeatable monster. But he's just a human. Akira is a werewolf. And when he find's out about it he got scared for the first time in his life and really excited because a rival had appeared. He "knew" since the beginning he could defeat Akira and become a full monster. After this, he became even more crazy, strange and started smiling (but his smile it's like the one of a really crazy person), because he was just so happy that he met such a strong monster to be his first challenge in life. His feelings abou Akira are like: I hate you so much that I love you, and I love you so much that I have to destroy you because just thinking about it get me so turned on. Yes, I said turned on. Killing Akira became his fetish. Strange? So much that it's funny, I couldn't stop laughing, astonished, when I founded it out. That's a spoiler? Well, not an important one, it's equally interesting even if you know about it. Ryuuko: She's not even an important character, but she's just so amazing I had to talk about her. Ryuuko it's that side character your gonna love because of her interestingness. She's such a son of a bitch, she doesn't care about anyone, I guess even Haguro has more feelings than her. Oh, but she has feelings like: She just love interesting things, she likes to see the circus on fire, she likes seeing other people's misfortune. In other words, she's a huge sadistic and masochist (more the first one). She likes strong people, that's why she's Haguro's girl (though she's not actually loyal) and that's why she gets so interested in Akira, wich is as (more) strong as Haguro. She's just too interesting, you never know what she's gonna do and even after she do it you can't believe she did. She's a troll, I guess. Enjoyment (9): Of course, as I said, it has some things in this manga wich will not please you. He's violent, heavy, dark and it's objective it's not to make you feel happy and warm inside when it's over. I just went crazy when it ended in such and opened and unpleasant way, but I steel restarted to read it. Why? Because reading it is just too enjoyable. I get surprised even when I know what it's gonna happen. I'm the type of person that enjoys craziness and, man, everybody is crazy in this shit, I can't stop laughing with the crazy things they do. I mean, OMG, I can't believe it. What I want to say is, I'm not a normal person, so if you're like me then you're gonna love this manga. I don't understand, I usually can't se torture or people getting so hurt as they do in Wolf Guy, but this manga doesn't affect me. Don't ask me, I don't know what's going on. If you think, by this review, that you can stand this story, than try it out, because it's extremely amazing, but if you though it's too heavy, disgusting or that something like this shouldn't exist, then just go read another thing. I don't care if you dislike this, most people do, but don't say it's bad just because your too weak for the violence.

Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare
(Manga)
add
Recommended Preliminary
(27/48 chp)
The main reason why I decided doing this review was because I haven't seen any other that expressed the thoughts I have about Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare. The story isn't really complex or impressive, like the most mangas I'm obsessed with, but in the "shoujo" category I have to say it is really good. Its the type of light manga which is ideal if you just want to spend time because your sad or bored and, who knows, you may like it so much that you will not be able to stop. Even though I heard a lot of people saying this manga is cliché,
...
depending on your point of view that may not be so true. Actually, it is, but is a really well worked cliché. You will understand as this review passes by.
Story (7): As I said, the story isn't complex or impressive, how I usually like, but is not bad either. I guess you already know because of the synopsis, but I'm gonna explain the plot to you in my own way: The story circles around four characters (lots more around the two girls) and each one has their single way of seeing love. Yuna only learned about love in shoujo mangas and... well, you know what that means, she thinks love is something eternal, cute and much more strong than it actually is, and she seems to believe in destiny and hopes for the man of her life, or her prince, to find her and love her the way she is, without doing anything on her own to find this love. Akari thinks like most of the girls nowadays and her "love" lacks feelings. She just confess her love if she's sure the guy likes her back and enjoy the "seductive game" of the boys. Rio suffers of an deadly disease called "unrequited love" but, this time, he really CAN'T confess and, trying to give up the girl he likes when he still wasn't even rejected by her, he just pick up beautiful girls and hopes to fall in love with them. If they're not pretty he simply rejects them, but he says its just because they never talked to him before (the pretty girls didn't either). Kazuomi it's just an average teenager who's absurdly clueless, but cute and has no interest in love at all, has no problems with girls and actually seems to not differ then from guys with skirts (my opinion), though he understand their feelings better than any guy in this world. Lies, he doesn't, but by miracle he treats them like they want to be treated. In other words, he's really kind. The story shows how love affects and works for this four types of people or, at least, is what I think it should do. That's the only point where I think Sakisaka should have worked better, that if she at least thought about this possibility because, from my point of view, the love came from the exact same way for all of them. Their opinions about love almost didn't changed the story at all. Conclusion: None of them was right about how love works, and that's what the story seems to talk about, crushing all their expectations, but they seem fine with this and are not stubborn even though the way they were seeing the world changed suddenly in front of their eyes. Another think that bothered me (only me as it seems) was the bad use of secondary characters. Yuna's best friend moved in the first chapter and she was really sad, but it seems she forgot about her friend really fast. Other secondary characters are pretty useless too, even when they shouldn't. Something I think it's important to say is: THIS MANGA IT'S NOT A LOVE TRIANGLE! Just in a single moment, for 3 chapters at worse. Look, P(person)1 likes P2, who likes P3 who start to like P4 who doesn't like anybody. In other words, nobody is loved for more than one person. Just in some chapter a P5 start to like P1, but P1 likes only P2 and that's just a love triangle because P2 started to like P1 as well, but it's so fast I think you can disregard that. And, if you wanna know, I don't think P5 liked P1 so much, since he accepted just fine being rejected, not getting pissed and did not shed a single tear. Was even smiling (though he smile all the time and I think he just can't get serious). Though in the future that may change, P1 will be already getting out with P2. Art (9): I didn't gave it a 10 because I know that exists better art, but is really pretty and pleasing of looking at. Not just that, it fits the story perfectly, and I think the art just get better as the chapters pass by. In the beginning, Yuna's appearance bothered me a little (eyes too small for the head), but that changed fast (or I got used, I don't know). Characters (8): I guess what I liked the most about the characters is how they changed as the story passed by. Especially Yuna. They were really cliché in the beginning, but got more interesting with time. I think I like characters that change more than characters that were already good to begin with. But, if it wasn't for Yuna and Rio, I don't think I would give the characters more than 6. Akari and Kazu are nice and all, but they are predictable and boring. Consequently, I end up loving Yuna x Rio and getting pissed when Kazu x Akari steal the scene, which is the same problem I get from mangas like Kobayashi ga Kawaii Sugite Tsurai (I loved Mego x Sanada and found Azusa x Mitsuru boring). Luckly (or not, if you like the other couple), Sakisaka seem to have thought the same thing and Yuna x Rio are way more frequent to apear. Well, let's keep going: Yuna: At the beginning, Yuna it's such a timid girl that almost everything she learned about other people and life in a hole were all things she got from mangas. She would stare ate the ground when interacting with others and was easy to trick if her hearth was touched, though she wasn't stupid and was actually pretty careful (well, at least that's what it looked like to me). Since the beginning she was a well worked cliché, not being weak and coward although she was really shy. She was kind and cute, but not in a way that pissed me of, it was realistic, and I liked that. And she could actually interact well with people that she knew for a long time, like her previous best friend, that moved in the first chapter, and her childhood friend, Kazu, with who she wasn't shy at all and she didn't had a crush on him just because he was the only boy she talked with. As time passes by, she shows being a strong kid that wouldn't cry for everything and gains more confidence even after being rejected. Even now, she got quite a potential. Rio: Rio was another good cliché. He's the so talked playboy that is interested in every girl as long as she has a good face, but he's not such a bastard as everyone thinks. As I saw, he's spoiled and childish, and because of that he does some pretty bad things when he's angry, but he doesn't get angry easily, recognizes his mistakes, it's kind in his own way and actually thinks about the others, though he will put himself in front when he thinks his hearth is in danger and the only person that he may put in front him sometimes is the girl he likes. I say "sometimes" because when he's angry at her the thing changes an he thinks he has the right of getting advantage. He doesn't change as much as Yuna, but he tries his best to do so, inspired in her. And when he solves his problems he naturally become someone better, since when his sad or pissed he becomes a "bad person", accidentally, but who doesn't? Akari: I think this kid became realistic while wanting to be a dreamer just like Yuna, because she really make some effort to love for real (just like in Yuna's mangas) after meeting her new friend. I think the best part about her is her sociality and coldness, even though she smiles a lot. She kinda remember my mother (I think "feelings" were lacking when God created her). It's nice how normal she is. I meet persons like her in the street all the time. What more changed about her was definitely her coldness, also inspiring in Yuna. She became more sincere and cute (less mature) and it's nice how she started liking somebody-that-I-will-not-tell (thought you already know who it is) since he was so different of her type, and because Akari in love doesn't look like herself. It's like me discovering love for the first time when she's a lot more experienced than me (since my only love was my geography teacher, and the motherfucker it's married). And she doesn't become shy at all, she actually seems to be having fun with the new feeling. But she keeps being colder than other manga characters (even the really cold ones are more affected when rejected by the first time), but is still cute. I don't enjoy her as much as Yuna, but she is an interesting character. Kazu: The most cliché character, Kazu is so easy to read if your used to shoujo mangas that it's kinda boring. He's not bad at all, just... Well... Kazu's strong point as a character is the fact that he's so direct and say some amazing things without even noticing. He's not distracted, he's really dumb. Again, Sakisaka noticed this and he's the less appearing character. Since now's gonna start to focus more on him and his crush (again, you know who it is) I hope he's gonna evolve more. I want to see different sides of him. Something I want to say about him is: He has a mania for scratching his nose when he lies. I just discovered this later and I got really pissed, because I wanted to observe in which moments he did that. Now, what I enjoy the most about him is tease my computer like he's listening every time he scratches his nose. It's pretty fun. Enjoyment (8): I think the enjoyment was so high because I read it at the right time. If your not bored os sad, don't read this. You're gonna start to compare him with other mangas which are so much better and you're enjoyment's gonna be low. If you are a "new otaku" then I think you will love this manga, since the clichés are not going to piss you off. If you like complex and interesting stories... Well... It has a lot of good mangas out there. Read just some chapters of this manga and, if you get bored, try another one. That's it! English's not my main language, so I hope I wrote everything wright ^^'

Ao no Exorcist
(Anime)

Since I've read the manga I fell for it, so, if it wasn't for the manga, I don't know if this anime would deserve more than an 8. Besides, I don't know if someone that did not read the manga is capable to talk about the characters or story, cause they get much more interesting after the anime's end. I can't say if it is a "classical Shounen" cause I did not like the other Shounens I've watched and always thought they were boring and repetitive, which makes me unable to compare (respect it, I just have no patience to see 400 to 600 episodes
...
of a story that focus on fights and have lots of fillers and others useless chapters that are forgotten as the story goes on). If someday I watch Naruto, that looks really nice, I can think about Ao no Exorcist being cliche or not.
Story 7 of 10: Ao no Exorcist is the first anime I've saw that focus on exorcists, but that's not important. The autor somewhat mixed real life and its beliefs (Vaticano, Illuminati) and her fiction on the story, and some of this fiction is also inspired in real life beliefs (Satan) what I thought that was very interesting. And Gehenna and Assiah, the both worlds presents in the story, are not names picked up from nowhere. Gehenna is a small valley in Jerusalem which is the Jewish and Christian analogue of hell, and Assiah is the region where the Ofanim rule and where they promote the hearing of prayers, support human endeavor, and combat evil. Even if I'm the only stupid that didn't notice it in the same second, I got really excited with the idea of using something like that in the story, cause it somewhat make it looks like the story could really be true (I don't think it is but... you got it). Ao no Exorcist is a lot more complex than it looks like. Actually, I just didn't gave it a 10 because I know that exists better storys. But, if it's like that, why did I gave a 7? That's cause, after half of the anime they changed completely the course of the story and it became shit. I wouldn't recommend this anime from the half on, but they are now making an second season that ignores the invented half of the first season and follow correctly the manga, which deserves a 9 in the plot. So, if you ever watch Ao no Exorcist, stop at the 15 episode and jump for the second season. The story is also really funny (if you don't laugh at chapter 65 in the manga it has something wrong with you). Art 7 of 10: Just like the story, the art of the anime is worst than the art of the manga, but that's cause the animation wasn't really well made. You can notice that they sometimes use some artifacts to hide the bad animation but that doesn't work, and its not really fluid or consistent, but not so bad that you can't stand it. Is possible to ignore the bad art (which isn't exactly terrible, its enjoyable and have its moments) and it keeps being better than lots of other Shounen, whose animation really collaborate for me to not want to see the anime. But this so-so quality doesn't get worse in the battle scenes. Actually, I think it gets better. In the manga, what piss of sometimes is that the artist can't always finish drawing in time and lots of pages get an art obviously incomplete, but I think that just happen 2 or 3 times, and in a manga with almost 90 chapters that's not really much. Sound 8 of 10: I didn't disliked the voice of the characters. Actually, I liked them very much, mostly Rin's voice, that I think it really suited him. Even the characters that have accent can dub very well and the voice doesn't piss me off like in some animes, where I really want to turn the sound off. But the anime lose points in the openings and endings, that aren't very interesting and give a wish to jump them and just go to the story. I usually don't pay attention to the background music, but when they are bad I usually notice. Since I didn't noticed anything strange or boring about the anime sounds I think they were at least acceptable. Characters 10 of 10: I just have fallen in love with basically all of the characters. Though you can't notice in the anime only, in the manga they get really complex. Sometimes you don't know if the character is a hero or a villain, they not always make the right decisions and that make you simpatize with them. I'm not gonna tell how that happens, but some characters that really surprise you with time are Izumo, Shima (MY FUCKING GOD, this guy really surprised me! You will know why if you read the manga) and, unexpectedly, Shiemi (yeah, she's more strong than she looks like). Ryuuji take a little more time, but he surprises you too. You will never understand Mephisto and, until now, I don't know if Yukio is a nice guy or if he's gonna surprise me and become a bad guy. Every time I look at him I imagine him becoming a villain. I think the strong point of Ao no Exorcist is how all the characters learn more about themselves and become better with time, not only in power but psychologically talking as well. In the most part of the animes I watched the characters were always good since the beginning and just were misunderstood. The coolest part is that not always they become better, some of them become worst as well, like they discover a new part of themselves and, even if that means betray they friends, give up their pride or stand up to they parents/responsibles, they're gonna make it in favor to do what they want to do. The relationship between the brothers (Yukio and Rin) is really interesting as well. Yukio envy the charisma of Rin, the way he inherited the father's flames, got protected by everyone and was treated as someone special, but Rin envy the way Yukio is strong and intelligent, got the chance to train side by side with Shiro and saw him show his power. The most cliche about the characters is Shiemi's stupid kindness and Rin's stupid optimism, but with time they get more complex and interesting and, if you wanna know, I wouldn't change Rin's personality never in my life, he's just too cute, I wanted to bite him and hug him 'till he begs for air. His smile is just perfect as well. And I think his ability of cooking is really creative. Enjoyment 10 of 10: What can I say? I couldn't sleep because I wanted to get done watching first. When I started the manga it was almost impossible for me to stop and I got surprised all the time. I know that not everybody is gonna like Ao no Exorcist, but I have to at least make my part and recommend it for you. But I recommend specially de manga and, if you are the type that just watch anime you probably won't notice all the perfection I described here. But if you already saw the anime, don't worry, that won't get in the way if you want to try the manga. Actually, I think is nice to compare the both. Overall 8 of 10: Anime: (7 + 7 + 8 + 10 + 10) / 5 = 8.4 Manga: (9 + 8 + ? + 10 + 10) / 4 = 9.25
