Mo Dao Zu Shi is a Chinese anime based on a web novel. I didn't read the book so I my review is based only on anime (as for now - 11 episodes of it).
The story is about Wei Wuxian - a young orphan who was raised by the Yunmeng Jiang Clan. From the start we know about his death because in the very first episode he gets reincarnated, but we also get the background story of his teenage years and all the events which lead to his tragedy.
The plot isn't linear but if you focus on what you watch, you shouldn't gest lost. And
...
it's more interesting that way! It's hard to believe that the main protagonist who is so goofy and air-headed will die and become someone dark. Wei Wuxian is certainly a very dynamic character.
All the other characters are also very interesting and in the pletora of them every viewer should find his or her favourite. But mind you, Chinese animes have LOTS of characters and they all have complicated names!
The best part of the anime? Graphics! I think it's the first Chinese anime that I can really enjoy in terms of beutiful fighting scenes, breathtaking backgrounds and great character designs! But of course the story is also great and music is quite enjoyable! Maybe it's a start of a new age of Chinese animes that will really compete with Japanes ones? We will see.
As for now, you should really give it a go! Don't get scared by the Chinese dubbing and don't stop after the first episode - you will love the series, trust me!

I decided to watch "Hoshi no Umi" before watching "Hana no Uta" becuase people say it's a prequel. I was little scared at first because I've watched the previous Yozakura Quarter series and it had quite different character designs. At first I hated new ones but at the second sight I realised they're still really great.
So on to the actual review:
"Everyone says the starry night sky is beautiful."
To Azuma Rin starry night sky was something that she hated the most in the whole world. Why? You need to watch those 3 episodes to know because Rin is the real main character here!
Story 8/10
Story starts
...
really fast and viewer can feel somewhat lost in all those characters and places. I heard that 4 first volumes of manga weren't animated, so it may be a good choice to read them first (I can't read manga online because of my eyes).
When I finally remembered most of the characters and met some new ones I really enjoyed the story. There was a lot of funny moments, especially with Yue and all her bears but you can find plenty serious scenes too.
Pacing of the story is really well too, I mean you won't get bored but you will get some slower moments too.
Art 7/10
Overall art wasn't that bad. We got nice character designs, vibrant colours and detailed (but static!) backgrounds.
Animation and art in opening is top-notch.
The thing I didn't like was details.. no I mean LACK of details. Sometimes we were getting beutiful detailed eyes and second later we had seen the same eyes that looked like just 2 dots of colour. Nothing nice.
Animation was crappy sometimes too. It looked like it was having lags.
Sound 6/10
Why "only" 6? Because there is some music but you will notice it mostly at the end when some nice piano background-song is playing. Other than that I noticed a lot of quiet moments that could use some fast-paced action music because I think action scenes beg for some good sound.. really.
Opening is really nice (but english of those singers is not) and voice acting too. I loved Zakuro's voice because she had mean and slutty voice as well as good and calm (TOO CALM) one too.
Character 8/10
3 episodes are not too much to meet SO MANY characters and I really mean MANY.
Nurse, youkais, hanyou, some strange little boy, his maid, Enjou (??), demon hunters and MUCH MUCH more.
I was overwhelmed by their numbers but I loved each of them. They all have different characters and that's something nice to see.
Enjoyment 9/10
I enjoyed this short series a lot. I laughed at Yue's bear moments and was sad when watching scenes with Rin. I loved the ending too and all this stuff with "starry night".
Overall 8/10 (7,6)
8 matches here because it's Very Good. Really. I'm happy I watched this and I hope you will be happy too 'cause I recommend it to everyone.
It's not the best anime in the world, you will see some crappy animation, lack of details or music but the story will still be great!

Story is about... yup there isn't one story but 3 of them mixed together. All very sweet and definitely for girls.
Main story is about childhood friends. One of them had accident and can't play basketball anymore..
2nd one is about boy that fell in love with his teacher.
3rd is my favourite, about boy that asked his father's friend, famous writter to live in his house.
Story 7/10
It was definitely well written for just one volume and 3 different stories. You can like characters, be "in their skin". Some of stories are sweet, some bitter-sweet so your teeth won't hurt from reading this.
Art 5/10
Character design
...
is quite well done. Handsome boys and older guys and even beutiful woman. Everything that a girl reading it would like.
There are some nice details like can of beer or cute little tomatoes in the food but the thing I really hate in this manga is EMPTINESS. No backgrounds.. sometimes even no rasters just plain white/grey space.
Character 7/10
They were really well written for such a short story. My favourite character was famous writter.
You can hate some of them but each of those guys has their own character and a little bit of development.
Enjoyment 8/10
I give it a fair 8 'cause I enjoyed it. Of course I wanted some more yaoi scenes, maybe even sex but I got "+16" on the cover so couldn't expect much.
The thing you can enjoy is the variety of stories. Each of them is really different so you won't get bored.
Overall 7/10 (6.75)
7 is a little bit too high in my opinion but I give it only because of all this character development in such a short time. It's something that some authors can't do even in 50 volumes.
If you are a girl, love bitter-sweet love stories and BL then this manga is definitely for you. Nice volume that you can read while drinking warm tea and eating cookies.

Aladdin was a manga that I read only by coincidence. I mean.. I bought some old manga magazines that were on sale and Aladdin was in parts in some of them.
Story is about boy that finds magical teapot one day and we all know how it works - when you rub magical lamp then djinn pops out right? So yes, boy rubbed teapot, djinn popped out and he had 3 magical wishes.....
Story 4/10
4 because there was actually some story but it wasn't thrilling or really interesting. Djinn was strange, boy was stupid and telling dumb wishes... ending wasn't thrilling at all. Some school
...
comedy scenes were thrown here too.
Art 5/10
Yes it's old but we can see EMPTINESS everywhere. No background? Ok let's put there some rasters. We can see half of rasterized TV or just some rasters here and there on empty space. Character designs aren't special too, only granny is really well made - she has wrinkles and warm look on her face.
On the other hand there were some nice things too like teapot and dragon.
Character 4/10
I give 4 only because of Grandma and Aladdin. Main character doesn't have character at all and his girlfriend-to-be is just mean and not nice. I really hate her.
Enjoyment 3/10
It's not something you will love or something you will remember but it's really short so you won't be exhausted.
Overall 4/10
Isn't it too high? Maybe it is but I think it REALLY isn't that bad because it's so short. It had some story, some characters, ending and nicely done teapots. You won't hate it, you won't love it.
If you like warm love stories then you can give it a go, you won't waste much time anyway.

It's my first review so deal with me please~
Doubt was a manga that I didn't want to read. People with bunny-heads on the cover and some blood.. I didn't know what to think about it. But then I exchanged some manga with my friend and she gave me Doubt so I started reading it... AND COULDN'T STOP.
Story is about pack of friends playing phone-game called "Doubt". In this game you play as a cute little bunny but this game isn't cute at all. One of the bunnies is a wolf in disguise trying to eat them all but of course bunnies don't know which
...
one is a bad guy. They all try to kill (by hanging) bunny that lies and is a wolf. If they hang right one - they win but if they hang wrong ones to the end - wolf wins.
This pack of friends meet one day in real life - main character Yuu that always lose in this game, his best friend Mitsuki that was in this meeting only by coincidence, badass guy Einji, beautiful girl Haruka and cute Rei on the wheelchair. Only Hajime didn't came. The all wake up in strange building and game starts in real life but.. who is the wolf?
Story 6/10
Why only 6? Because I knew who is the wolf from the start. I knew it and thought that they will give me some hints or something that will lead to this ending but.. no. They didn't. Overall I think the story wasn't that bad, I enjoyed it really much but i was expecting some more "doubt".
Art 7/10
7 because it's not "special", I saw better character designs and stuff but at the same time backgrounds were really nicely done! I mean - this strange building, blood, stairs, walls they were all really enjoyable.
In my version were coloured pages too and I loved those cute little bunnies in colour, especially wolf-bunny.
Character 5/10
Nothing special. They all had their own characters but we all seen them already. Cute girl on wheelchair? Badass guy? Son of the doctor? Yup.. I give 5 because some of them wasn't what we thought they are. It wasn't that shocking like in School Days or Higurashi but still..
Enjoyment 9/10
Why so high? Because it sucks you like a mud! Even if story isn't amazing and characters are just normal you will still enjoy reading it - trust me. You will want to know what will be later and it works like a good horror/thriller giving you chills sometimes. Yup it deserves good 9 but only for enjoyment.
Overall: 6.75 ahaha so 6/10 will be good. It's Fair, this word matches this manga really well.
It's not special but still really enjoyable so yup if you can read it - do it fast!
