Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken

These two manga are quite similar, in both enjoyment levels and art. The plots don't really have anything in common, other than the gender bender factor. In one manga (Houou Gakuen), the main character is interested in girls and is sent to an all-boys academy in hopes of abolishing this interest. However, in The Substitute Count's Adventure, the main character has to crossdress in order to throw suspicion off from her brother, whose position she is taking over. I guess both manga exude the same vibe, so you could enjoy one as well as the other...

These two manga are probably the most similar out of all the recommendations I've made. First of all, both manga have cross-dressing boys who make beautiful girls and girls who don't find themselves as pretty as they are. There are also a lot of modeling in both. However, Charming Junkie focuses almost completely on modeling, while Jellyfish Princess wanders and included modeling as well as fashion design. The art is really well done in both manga as well. I feel as though Jellyfish Princess also follows the same theme, which implies that everyone can be beautiful no matter what they look like, as Charming Junkie. I'd say that Jellyfish Princess is a lot better for those who want to read something that would touch their hearts a little. Charming Junkie is great for people who like romance and sadistic male leads with a penchance for crossdressing. However, you don't necessarily have to fit into either of these categories to enjoy either manga.

Kamisama no Memochou
add

When I watched the first episode of Memo-chou, I felt it was very very similar to Gosick. I mean, look at the female protagonists. Both are bossy loli characters that solve the mysteries. Though Gosick didn't have a cast of characters that assist in solving the mysteries, Memo-chou does, and it successfully introduces them in a forty-five minute first episode. Is that amazing or what? Also, the male protagonists of of both anime are reluctantly dragged into the mysteries. The art styles aren't that similar, but they have somewhat similar supporting characters as well as main ones. Ayaka is very similar to Cecile-sensai, as she seems to be the only one able to force Alice to do things that others would be scared of trying. Although the characters are very similar, there is one solid difference that might put off a few people. Gosick is more horror-oriented while Kamisama no Memo-chou is more crime and actual detective work. Despite these differences, I implore you to check out the other. They're both great.

Ao no Exorcist

Honestly, when I first started watching Ao no Exorcist, I felt it screamed Soul Eater. I mean, not only are the art styles similar, but Rin (the protagonist) reminded me greatly of Soul. Even then, as you continue to move forward through the series, you'll be able to make more and more comparisons. For instance, Faust is a lot like Lord Death, having that same wackiness. There are a lot of other similarities, like similar humor and such. But regardless, you should take the time to watch this.

Rental Magica
add

In both anime, the main male lead has an eye that gives them the ability to command people (though in Rental Magica, Itsuki just becomes more confident, thus being able to issue commands.) The eyes the characters have are also red and are both said to eventually cause the owners to become insane. Itsuki and Lelouch are also voiced by the same seiyuu, Jun Fukuyama. However, Code Geass is more about freedom and battle while Rental Magica focuses on the cases Astral receives. I would recommend anyone who has seen either of these anime to watch the other.

Both main female leads have somewhat tsudere attitudes (Shana more so than Ayano). The female characters also wield fiery swords. There is also those Crimson Denizens and the Youma, which Shana and Ayano both are obligated to defeat...

Lock On!
add

They are both similar in the fact that the female protagonists don't initially intend to fall for the main male. I felt that Lock On had a more fighting type feel while You're My Girlfriend was more slice-of-life, in a manner of speaking. If you've read You're My Girlfriend, you'll like Lock On. (Or, of course, vice versa)

Hakushaku to Yousei

Both have supernatural/fantasy elements, though in Kamisama, it's familiars and gods and stuff, while in Earl, it's fairies. Both are a great read, considering they have great art, and a not-so-typical storyline. They both have a bit of everything, and are sure to please.

Hakushaku to Yousei
add

Both are to do with someone who is "wanted" and the female protagonist helps them with their search for something (In Vampire Game, it's Phelios' reincarnation, while in Hakushaku to Yousei, it's a legendary sword.) The main difference being that Ishtar wants to help, while Lydia wants to be paid to help. The character developments are well paced and each chapter makes you hunger for more. The art is also wonderful in both!
