Well, there isn’t that much to say about this movie except that my expectations were crushed and fulfilled at the same time.
The movie itself is visually pleasing. The overall worldbuilding with Tokyo as a lost place is really beautiful and also the soundtrack adds up to it perfectly just as expected from Hiroyuki Sawano. Also the choice for the voice actors was really good (But I might be a bit too biased with this point). But that’s it. That’s probably the only good thing I can say about this movie.
Storywise… If we can even talk about a proper story in the first place,
