I was really surprised Natsume Ono is not (like Kiriko Nananan) related to La nouvelle manga movement. Her works have this typical european feeling, her art is quite european too and slice of life appears to be her favourite genre... There is a certain connection between "Ristorante" and "Pumpkin" (and it does not refer to food).

Both series are of similar nostalgic feelings. Problems that they are showing are difficult to assess. Very ambiguous. Both anime are also formally similar (colors, the pace of action, universal message).
