I have watched this show until the newest 22nd episode and I plan to end it almost out of obligation with myself. The show was pretty average in the beginning and it actually kinda got better towards the middle episodes. However, the plot is always lacking and the power scaling is just terrible, one of the worst ones I saw. You're told that some numbers decide your power for it to be completely useless afterwards, and people pull powers out of thin air for the sake of plot or do completely unnecessary and uncharacterstical things (as you would be able to see in episode 22 ... in one of the villains...). Also it simply gets worse and worse the more you watch after the first 18 episode or so, the ending of this show got almost unwatchable for me and it makes me want to drop it.

Honestly, I feel like the war was actually very one sided. Everything was way to convenient for the Black Faction. From Sieg being saved so many times for no real reason, just for the plot's sake, to Red Faction servants going against eachother while forgetting their role in the war: obtaining the Great Holy Grail. I truly hated that the story completely went on Black Faction's side when Red Faction could've easily won had Sieg not have such a godly luck. Like, even the Ruler, the supposedly impartial servant fell in love with him pretty much at first sight and made so exceptions for him ... and Black Faction just because she felt like it. I hated how the plot had so many holes and didn't make much sense just to make Sieg win and happy ending as always. I'm going to be honest, I actually wanted to see something different for once, for Fate Apocrypha to not turn out to be the typical shounen anime. The difference between it and the other shounen animes is that Sieg didn't even train or do anything at all to get his power or to accomplish many things. Pretty much everything was handed to him miraculously, it was honestly very annoying. I was hoping Red Faction would win and make Shirou's wish true in that anime world, it would've been a good and realistic ending for me. But I still voted with a 9 on this anime because other than Sieg and Black Faction's unfair luck, I loved the battles, the feelings the characters had, I loved the Red Faction Servants, I feel like their personalities were more unique than the others' and Shirou as well, he stayed true to his wish and attained the Great Holy Grail through his own efforts, even though the ''impartial'' Ruler didn't like it and decided to stop him. I also loved Red Saber and her master, Achilles and Atalanta too, Red Faction made this anime really enjoyable to me. It would've been a clean 10 if they had won.
