Bleach is one of the large shounen anime that exist in the anime world, along with the all-too familiar Naruto, One Piece, etc.
So, if you've seen any either or of Naruto or One Piece, you probably already have a general idea of Bleach. It's got action, maybe not the best plot, some comedy here and there, a bit of romance, and a lot of stuff thrown together.
Now, when I first started watching Bleach, I said to myself "This is the best show ever", and it truly was. Back then, when Bleach was pretty much the only anime show I knew existed, I truly believed this
...
series was THE BEST. Just like how some people who started their anime adventure with Naruto or One Piece, these kind of anime draw you in with a new genre and action you haven't necessarily seen before.
That's why you see new anime watchers giving Bleach and Naruto huge scores of 10 here and 10 there, throwing around the term "masterpiece" everywhere.
But as you delve more into Bleach, you start to realize the overused plot idea, the fact that Orihime is a useless girl who pretty much needs to be saved every single time. I respect Ichigo, because if I were brought into the world of Soul Reapers and I had this whinny bitch saying she loves me and going off on her own and getting killed and I had to save her MULTIPLE TIMES, I probably would just stop saving her after the second time. Enemy says "We have Orihime, we control you now" I say "More like, you have Orihime, and I don't give a shit"
But nope. Ichigo will continue to save Orihime because she's proven how useful she is to him. That is... how useful her huge boobs are to Ichigo
Anyways, I've made Bleach sound like some retarded show, but it really isn't. I'm not going to say it's your typical shounen anime, because it might be a little better, but for experienced anime watchers, you're probably going to know or what to expect from this show. When I first watched Bleach and thinking that it was the best show in the world, as I continued to watch more and more anime. I realized that there is so much more anime that has everything Bleach has and much more.
I'm not going to lie. If you're one of those people who just want a casual anime to watch, or you're new to anime, Bleach is probably a great introduction. But for those of you who are experienced, Bleach is probably not going to satisfy you. There are some great action moments where you get the suspenseful feeling, but there are many more animes that have just that, except they don't have 366 episodes.
The art in Bleach is what you would expect, it's nothing special, just a typical shounen anime. Soundtrack is overused, but they have some REALLY good songs for the fight scenes, some in particular which drew me to the series one-handed. The story is overused, standard soul reaper story. You'll understand what I mean if you watch it. There isn't too much character development in Bleach, but it's what you'd expect from a shounen anime mostly focused on enjoyment and action. Overall, I give Bleach an 8, since it is the first anime I saw and I probably enjoyed it more than I would enjoy it if I watched it now. It's not terrible, it has some nice parts to it, but I don't think ALL 366 episodes are worth your time, you can skip through the filler and some unimportant episodes here and there.
I guess I'll list out my ratings here:
Story: 7
Art: 7
Sound: 9
Character: 6
Enjoyment: 8
Overall: 8
Remember, the button names. It's was the review helpful or not helpful. It shouldn't be translated as was the rating they gave the anime good or not good.

Angel Beats! Possibly the world's most polar anime. It's either you're:
Type 1: This anime is amazing. Deep storyline, moving, too touching. I SEE THE WORLD IN A NEW LIGHT NOW
Type 2: I cried more when my fish died, and I didn't even know I had a fish
But anyways, as usual, I'm going to start off this review by saying a very misconception thing in MyAnimeList. I see great reviews, but 0 of 100 people found this helpful, because this review probably gave the anime a low score. So what do people who support the anime do? "It's time to declare war" and spam the Not
...
Helpful button. I'm always like, it's called "Click if you found this review helpful or not helpful" not "Click if you like their rating or don't like their rating"
Anyways, Angle Beats! manages to create a pretty confusing and as well enthralling opening. In fact, I didn't even realize what was completely going on in the first 6 episodes, which is why many people don't like it since they stop watching it because it doesn't give a quick explanation, but once you realize exactly what is going on, you start to like it more. The story is pretty original and the execution I think is one of the best. It starts off by asking some very thought-provoking question such as "Why do I live" "What reason do I live for" "What do I need to do while I am alive". The anime itself starts off with a boy who finds himself in the world after death (the afterlife) and join a group known as the "Rebels Against the God". Unfortunately, he forgot how he died so he basically tries to uncover why. I'm not going to continue and describe because that would spoil it for you. For story I would give it a 9, because I will admit that there was a lot of potential and the execution became a bit rushed at the end.
Art doesn't need to be explained. The animation is all fluid and eye-pleasing. A solid 10 here.
Angel Beats! Soundtrack is probably one of my favorite soundtracks. I found that it really set the atmosphere for the scenes in the anime and the opening and ending theme are pretty catchy. There are some pretty sad songs that really fit with the sad scenes in the anime and some very action-packed soundtracks which fit with the uprising of conflict. I give Sound a solid 10
The characters are quite original in this. The main character (Yuzuru) has a pretty interesting back story. In fact, all the character have their own unique and different back stories and although the anime doesn't focus on other as much as they probably should, they only made this 13 episodes, so for 13 episodes, I think they did a pretty good jobs with the characters. I give it a 8.
Overall, there some parts in Angel Beats! which make no sense whatsoever. And there are many parts which you have to put a lot of thought into in order to understand it and enjoy. If you push through the first 5 episodes, the anime can be very enjoyable and if you get the main part of the what story is trying to put out there. I would give enjoyment a 7, which is still a good rating.
Overall, Angel Beats! is a ground-breaking title with a somewhat expected ending, creative story, excellent execution and tragic end to it, or rather leaving the viewers to decide what happens, and more importantly, what will they do after watching this anime.
Thanks for the feedback, cool beans bro.

I'm probably going to receive a lot of hate for this review since the voice actor that shall not be named is voicing her common tsundere role, but anyways, I'll continue.
First of all, you have to realize that reviews on MyAnimeList can be, at times, very unreliable, due to the fact that many people say. "I love this anime, omg this guy gave a review criticizing it, better criticize his/her review by clicking not helpful." I'm always like: It's called Helpful or Not Helpful, not Agree or Disagree.
Moving on, Hidan no Aria is another tsundere, romance, action, fantasy anime done by J.C. Staff, so no
...
surprises that there is harem in this anime. Personally, I don't care if there's harem in an anime, so I couldn't care less, but I've always had a soft spot of harem romance animes, especially with this one. Hidan no Aria was one anime I was very excited for, since it included my favourite genres, and it look like it had a promising story line and stares a cute anime girl as the main character.
If you've seen Zero no Tsukaima or Shakugan no Shana, you'll probably get a sense as to what Hidan no Aria will present you with. A guy doesn't want to do this or that or get thrown into another world the doesn't want to be in, and falls in love with a girl and bam, you have a tsundere romance + harem.
For some reason, I particularly enjoyed watching Hidan no Aria. The story and plot may have not been the strongest suits in the anime, but I found the animation to be very fluid. Here and then, I see reviews saying "Oh the animation isn't realistic" Well a couple years ago everyone fell in love with Dragon Ball which compared to now has crappy animations and those other animes, but no, today it's all about realism and how realistic the drawings or character movements are. Personally, the animation in Hidan no Aria for me was very fluid and eye-pleasing, and I would give it a solid 10 in Art.
The soundtrack for Hidan no Aria is definitely not the strongest soundtrack J.C. Staff has done, but it's above decent. I liked it, and found it often set the atmosphere very well for action scenes. I give Sound an 8. The opening is kind of catchy, but it's really a matter of your own personal taste.
The characters in Hidan no Aria are not very unique, in that there are similar to the past tsundere romances J.C. Staff has done. However, they od have likeable personalities and not to mention the multiple cute anime girls this anime throws in. In terms of character development, well, there's not much room for character development in 12 episodes, which is why I want this series to have a Season 2. You obviously see a change in the way Aria (the main character) treats Kinji (the main male character) since it is a tsundere romance. Other characters also develop somewhat, but are otherwise not as noticeable. To me, character development didn't really matter because I watched this with the mindset of this being a cutesy tsundere action romance anime, so I give this section a 6.
Overall, even though the anime may not have been original, I would say its definitely worth your time to check it out. If you have disliked the past J.C. Staff tsundere romances such as Zero no Tsukaima or Shakugan no Shana, this one probably won't be any different. For some inexplicable reason, Hidan no Aria is an anime I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would based on my impressions from the reviews. I give enjoyment a 9 and overall rating of 9. It may not have been ground-breaking or moving or a deep plot, but it had all the elements that I was watching for which was basically action, romance, and just that kind of casual anime to watch for the cutesy stuff and comedy. Comedy is very well-fitted with this anime.

Sword Art Online is probably one of the most hyped up animes of 2012. The anime itself is amazing.... for the first two episodes...
The plot and character all seem very enthralling in the first episode. The plot of being stuck in a game and dying in it means real death and there is no escape unless you beat it is a great plot! However, this plot quickly falls apart after the third episodes and onwards. Our main character Kirito is what you might expect. A brash, somewhat arrogant, masculine and gets all the girls but doesn't seem to care, type of character. This itself is
...
not the problem, it is the characters around him. The first girl you meet which is a cute girl with a dragon, you see her for two-ish episods and she never appears. There are numerous characters they could've expanded on, but didn't and the majority of the characters, you never see again for the rest of the anime. There is no real character development for Kirito, and its rushed. The romance is all right, it's a somewhat tsundere romance, but for some reason, they decide to get married not even 5 days into their relationship. The characters are very rushed and overall, everything is very rushed. There was a lot they could've expanded on, but didn't. They complete like 10 floors in one episode and the character is quite predictable. The reason why I gave the story a 7 was because the story isn't bad, its the way they executed it was bad.
The plot is very creative, I won't deny that, but the characters themselves are probably the biggest flaw in the series, along with the rushed part of it. Now, fortunately, SAO compensates that, for its relatively good soundtrack and good animations. The battles are lively and vivid and the sound is quite action-packed and energizing. These all stand a pretty good score of 8.
With that, SAO, is an anime that I find I enjoy even though I don't like the characters much. The reason why I enjoy it is because the story is quite good after Episode 15, when they complete the Sword Art Online game and begin another game to save *spoiler* Asuna. After that, the anime dives into the characters of Kirito's "sister" and the rest of the cast, but for the ones you meet in SAO, consider them seen once, and never seen again.
Overall, SAO is not a horrible anime. It had a lot of potential that wasn't used. The execution is quite bad, but the creative story, sound, art somewhat makes up for it, and plus after Episode 15, I found it much better.
