DMC is the closest anime I've seen to Saiki's comedy style. Both shows are about a main character who just wants to live a peaceful life, but is instead forced into a lifestyle they dislike, which they end up doing comically well at. Both anime rely on short, mostly independent skits rather than overarching storylines. They both have very fast paced gags (although Saiki is even faster paced than DMC).

The two anime are very similar in atmosphere. Both are set in small towns that are surrounded by mountains, giving off unsettling vibes. Both shows make heavy use of rotoscoping which makes them feel different from other anime. Both have minimalist soundtracks that accentuate the eerie feeling.

Both series are about people keeping up a facade of normal life while hiding their crimes. Both series focus on plot rather than aesthetics. The narrative style is also quite similar — the suspense (of which both series have a lot!) comes more from (morbid) curiosity about what is going to happen next, rather than from a larger mystery being revealed.

Seikaisuru Kado

Gate can be said to have three main parts to it: the military elements with the JSDF fighting in the Special Region, the "slice of life"/"fanservice" elements with Itami & others doing random things, and the "political" part about how Japanese and international politics deal with the existence of the Special Region. Seikaisuru Kado masterfully expands on that third part while (for the most part; the military plays a role, albeit a minor one) omitting the others: it shows how Japan and other countries react to a problem, or even an opportunity, that affects all of humanity, and makes some excellent commentary on the nature of humanity using that premise.
