These great melodrama anines are similar because THEYRE DIFFERENT. Yep. Theyre the exact POLAR OPPOSITES of each other, most notably due to the main male characters. In Kokoro Connect,Taichi Yaegashi has a strong desire to help others and worries about others more than himself. In Oregairu, Hikigaya Hachiman is narcisstic, introverted, apathetic, no self-awareness of his reputation (actually he does but he doesnt mind tarnishing it) and only does what benefits him. Jesus vs edgy cold-hearted jesus. Both characters try to cater to their peers' feelings by resolving the problems they face whilst avoiding cruel and narcisstic methods. And the peers/main msle characters' inner circle are also identical as they always get hurt because the lead male characters always shoulder the problems they face and take it upon themselves. good. absolutely bomb 🥵🥵

The lead female characters are similar because the face discrimination among their peers around them, due to "disabilities". Yes I quoted disabilities. Both movies are FREAKISHLY GOOD. Prepare those onion chopping boards, and a couple of boxes of tissue. Go now, my child. Cry to your heart's content.

Yesterday wo Utatte

*The review is mostly on Yestersay wo Utatte. Domestic no Kanojo is just spicy hentai disguised as melodrama with the greatest anime opening of all time and underrated songs in the series* These animes are similar because of the characters Shinako Morimone and Natsuo Fuji. They constantly put out neverending fires that burn passionately. Its hard to keep everyone happy. For Shinako, she constantly battles to satisfy everyone and asking people not to worry about how she feels because they dont want them to bear the responsibility of her feelings and feel bad about it. She also struggles to move on as she drowns herself in the past of her ex-crush. Well yesterday wo utatte is all about the characters constantly indulging themselves in the past and how they overcome with it, or choose to endure it even longer. Freaking great. Both animes are hreat but Yesterday wo Utatte is even greater. Recommend you read the manga tho bcos while the anime is superb and excellent, its still very rushed compared to the manga as theres a lot of plot missed out.

Theyre obviously not that similar. Only the main characters are. The main male characters are treated scornly at at the start. If you're masochistic like me, and like to relate to characters that were discriminated by peers and learn to work their way out of prejudice, or accept his surroundings and play as the antagonist, then these two are the perfect animes for you. I LOVE THEM BOTH SO FREAKING MUCH (i love oregairu better tho). Both of them are my one of my favourites of all time. 🔥🔥🔥

Both movies are similar indeed, for starters, its obviously splitted into 3 chapters, each with a story to tell. But generally the chapters have a same theme to its respective movie's title. Flavors of youth is about the reminiscence of youth. 5 centimetres per second is about sustaining long distance relationships. However, flavors of youth is a "downgrade" and more simplistic version of 5 centimetres per second. btw by " downgrade" i dont mean its bad. 5 Centimetres per second has a far more sophisticated plotline that's true meanings and the virtues to be taught are deep as heck, while flavors of youth is much more straightforward and easy to understand. both movies are great as heck, especially 5 centimetres per second. 🤧🤧🤧🤧 pls bring tissue boxes. yes. boxes. not even a box is sufficient.

Ever contemplated about death? Well here's two tearjerking animes that would satisfy that thought. If you wonder what happens if you shoulder the weight of regret or guilt, and that it is left unresolved when you die, or the person that impacted those feelings on you is gone, then these are the perfect animes for you. Except Angel Beats is a series and it happens in the afterlife, while I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is before death. Both also has great songs ^_^ (btw take note that upon writing this review, I have NOT watched clannad lol). Both are in my top 10 favourite animes of all time (angel beats is my FAVOURITE anime of all time). have a gud day. sorry if review wasnt useful.
