This anime is a spinoff of the original as the story focuses on the Loki Familia during the first season of Danmachi. They were in a middle of dungeon exploration until an evil organization Evilus came back to reek havoc on both adventurers and the city or Orario. Amidst the chaos, Information regarding Ais Walestine was brought back to her Familia's attention and they would investigate on the matter. Meanwhile, Ais encountered the main character of the original anime Bell and saves him. She would later develop emotions as a result of the encounter. Good concept to explore Ais' character but poorly executed.
The relation between
...
Ais and Bell was already established and there were only few to no new original scenes regarding their relationship as the notable ones were reused from the original anime. This anime would also shoehorn Leifiya, an elf as a main character as she would take up a lot of screen time whether it be her with her yuri nonsense with Ais or the other female members of the Loki Familia notably Tiona and Tione or trying to scare off Bell from getting any closer to Ais out of jealously.
This anime was way too focused on Leifiya and her yuri fantasies with Ais. It was supposed be focused on Ais and her perspective alongside the her Familia. All and all, not much can be spoken about since they reused scenes from the original anime and Leifiya pretty much ruined what good there is to me as a viewer of both the original anime and manga.

Not gonna sugarcoat it. One of if not the best satire of the isekai and harem genre since Konosuba. The main character Cid makes an effort to be an unassuming background character while leading a double life of an head of an organization that'll take out a cult whose undermining the world behind the scenes. A lot of things he makes up just so happens to be a reality and he is unaware of it and it is pretty funny since he is living his chunni fantasies.
Outside of the action, there is world building such as the School of Midgar and a bunch of
...
spoiler territories. It also helps that Cid has other skills in his prior life that would help explore these aspects such as managing and such. These aspects would further be explored with certain members of Shadow Garden having to specialize in these areas.
There multiple tropes that are made fun of such as Cid's school friends being furiously jealous that the princess accepted his scripted confession and Cid being unaware that he has a harem. Another trope that would be made fun of would be the "tournament arc" where that would be played out later in the story.
All and all, it's really funny and a must watch if you enjoy isekai and understand satire.

Bear this in mind that this manga is particularly canon and will not be completed due events surrounding its serialization.
The line "It's been nearly a year since we last met" in the Devil May Cry 3 game is a reference to this story where they first met since their separation by Mundus. Volume 1 focuses on Dante where he gets a job to return a girl named Alice though his personality was altered into being more hostile and more closely to Vergil. Alice ran away and a demon lures Dante into buying his amulet given to him by his late mother and fails. Volume
...
2 focuses on Vergil as his alliance with Arkham and his brief and hostile reunion with Dante would be detailed. Volume 3 focuses on Lady as her real name "Mary" and her family history. Alice's relevancy in the continuity is unknown as she interacted with the 3 main characters and lead the twins reunion but however, there were no mentions of her outside the manga. Overall, this is not worth reading as this story is incomplete and too short to hold significant relevancy as Dante's and Vergil's personality were complete polar opposites and there was a plot error regarding Dante's devil trigger.

This is easily the best Tekken related media to date though this is mainly due how little and bad there is to other Tekken related media as well as how great the choreograph this show has. This is a great way for fans to get into the series as the story is a retelling of Tekken 3, one of if not the best and iconic fighting games of all time. The retelling of the story has been faithful for the most part with some key differences.
Some characters have been portrayed in their modern attires as well as others appearing in the show before their
...
debut in the original continuity. The biggest key differences would be the portrayals of some characters, certain subplots being omitted, and more importantly the ending. The former was done most likely out of aesthetic choice and as a way to give nods to the series in general as it would not affect the plot in a major way.
The latter would affect the plot of the original continuity with the most minor being the subplots of Nina and Anna Williams as well Paul Phoenix. The former being out of cryogenic hibernation with Nina having no recollection of her memories and brainwashed by Ogre into eliminating Jin Kazama. Paul's case is that he would thought to be the winner of the tournament by beating Ogre and leave.
Xiaoyu's and Hworang's character in the retelling has been faithful but toned down to a merit where their interactions with Jin have been detailed to degree though not to the point where their relationship would fleshed out. Heihachi was relatively monotoned as it was already foreshadowed that he would be an antagonist through his ruthless nature and betrayal towards Jin. Any fans of the series would know immediately.
The biggest difference between the original continuity and the retelling would be the ending. in the original, it would take place inside of Ogre's temple where Paul, Jin, Hehachi, and Ogre would be the only characters involved as their fights were isolated from other characters. Paul, who thought to have won the tournament by beating Ogre left only for Jin to face Ogre in his true form and beat him and In Jin's ending, Hehachi would betray Jin by having the Tekken force gun him with him being the one to pull the last trigger. This would inadvertently awake the Devil Gene inside of Jin and wreck the Tekken force and slam Heihachi through a wall and fly away.
In the retelling, all fights took place in an arena. King would beat Paul and move onto the finals where Jin barely defeated him and won. Hehachi irate from a barely standing Jin's take on his tournament progression challenges him and loses to him as he kept his Kazama teachings. This would provoke an awakening from Orge and fights Jin. Jin won and bested his true form with the help of Paul, Hworang, and Xiaoyu. After the fight, Heihachi pulls a gun and shoots Jin with the other three witnessing. This would awaken Devil Jin and he would beat him to the ground only to stop at Hworang and Xiaoyu's request and flies away upon recognizing them. This would most likely done to cut time though this would actually cause a plot error as no one except the Mishimas should know about the Devil gene at that point of the story. Hworang who would remotely come to learn about it should not have learnt about it this early onto the story as Jin would wipe the floor with him unconscious in his Devil form in Tekken 5.
Overall all though the retelling may greatly affect the average series fan's experience of watching, this shouldn't ruined it as this is a retelling of Tekken 3's story as it heavily focuses on Jin's character development. The show could improve on some areas such as Jin's relations to other characters such as Jun Kazama, Hworang, and Xiaoyu as it could greatly detail how they interact outside of the ring and to increase the watch time as it was too short and half of an average anime season of 12 episodes.

After discovering the anime through it's opening "KING AND ASHLEY" by My First Story, I gave it a shot and it did not disappoint.
The story simplistic, yet great takes a unique stance on Japan and its societal aspects as well as doing a great job on maintaining realism while adding some elements of fiction such as implementing realistic scenarios in their fights while hyperbolizing a few techniques, fighting styles, and adding unique abilities to a handful of characters.
The art is pretty bad as it utilizes cgi, but not to the extent of berserk 2018 is palpable, shifting between 2d to cgi.
The soundtrack is
...
great, using music from various artists with a variety of rock music and pop though I only liked a few songs.
The characters are great as each of them gets their backstory and gives us a reason why they fight though, they take good chunks of episode time when they fight. They also receive great character development as the story progresses especially Ohma and Cosmo as they become better characters when they find stronger reasons to fight than just win and become the strongest.
Overall, It was a great show but after reading the manga, I find it hard to look back and rewatch the series when there's a noticeable difference when the overall stories , art, and characters between the original and adaptation when the adaptation omits certain characters and have worse art than the manga

Easily the best Devil May Cry spinoff to date although they're usually locked in Japan. For people reading this before getting into the series don't because a lot of things would be spoiled and left unexplained like the characters to a degree. This manga explains a lot of past events leading up to the fifth game in the series and does a lot of development for V as a character. The art is good and not fit for the typical action game, is does the job good and standouts from the games or other spinoffs. It's best to go through the series or the fifth

game before reading this.

From what others have said about this anime, I can see where they're coming from but as a fan who invested in this series for a while at this time, I would beg to differ. The story takes place between the first and second tittle of the series which may explain Dante's somber attitude and personality but retains his wacky and carefree characteristics he's known for to a degree. Games with gameplay focus and lack luster plot and characters tend to do poor integrating into other forms of media such as anime and film but Devil May Cry did depict Dante well in a way
...
at least.
The art is a mixed bag for me since it was made by studio Madhouse and they made famous animes like One punch man and Highschool of the dead but they do leave it cliffhanging and to be fair, this was made in the 2000's so I'll cut it some slack. The director however, is another mixed bag despite having to be known for his other work. I think it was more of a miscast than just something else really.
The sound at best is mediocre with only a few rememberable tracks such as the theme song and another one in a fight with a singing demon. A lot of the tracks are forgettable and the theme song has been used frequently to a monotonous degree with it's original and acoustic version.
The characters were alright with Dante as the focus and Lady and Trish's relationship was explained and further detailed. Patty's and Morrison's relation with Dante served as a great parallel to Dante's other relations with Dante being pestered by Patty like brother and sister and Morrison as his agent when Dante is lacking business in his shop "Devil May Cry".
Initially it was stale to watch through but after investing and gaining a understanding the series and chronological order, I started to enjoy and appreciate it for what it is after re-watching it. I loved that they used the original cast form the games to reprise their roles and I was very surprised to learn that Japanese big names like Toshiyuki Morikawa and Akio Otsuka to dub the Japanese version of the title.
What I would like from the though was that they would've added characters that either has or never appeared in the games like Dante's former agent and his twin brother and further detail other aspects Dante and his everyday life up till the second tittle of the series. Overall I enjoyed it but I would not recommend this to any newcomers or non-fans of the series as it is stale as aforementioned and there are unexplained details that are relevant to the series.

Originally the anime was supposed to be MMO which typically tends to have lack luster plot from my experience but with Fate, they had a great and innovative idea with 7 servant factions and a setting outside of Japan. The characters were alright but there were great ones like Astolofo, Mordred, etc. Sieg would my favorite character but the anime didn't do his character great and FGO reconciled it with their own event but they could've worked on it more since it's a Fate tittle. For fans or new comers wanting to try this tittle out, it is dissuading from what others say but I'd
...
say it's best off to watch Fate\Zero or Unlimited Blade Works first. I personally enjoyed it, but it doesn't come off without flaws with having to re-watch it to be stale.
