Yashahime was a HUGE disappointment for me. I don't understand why the characters behave the way they do, many Inuyasha characters have been replaced with other hollow ones (like Takechiyo replaced Shippo -I mean, come on! They even use the same powers-) and the "bad" guys are just a joke, you can't even take them seriously. I just can't accept the storyline (which, in my opinion, makes no sense AT ALL) and the fact that the characters we've grown so fond of feel so foreign, especially Sesshomaru acting so coldly towards Rin and his daughters without explaining the reason (don't get me ... started with what happened to Inuyasha and Kagome -they simply took them out of the way-). Many things that happened throughout the season remain unanswered and there are characters, such as Riku or Kirinmaru, whose intentions and goals are hard to understand.
All in all, there are many copies and borrowings from Inuyasha (story, characters) and many things going on that let me down. I was too disappointed in the 1st season and the way the characters acted. Honestly, I was sad to discover that Inuyasha received such a sequel. :'( I'm just gonna pretend that Yashahime never happened and stick to the old, glorious characters and story!

Just finished watching this ONA.
My overall impression was good, however, there were a few things that bothered me...

I'll start by saying that it is really nice to watch our favorite Class 1-A Heroes back in action, if only we could see them all... I mean, both of the episodes were focused on Team A and completely ignoring the second one. Team B's characters have no screen time any way, so that made it even worse... I thought that this ONA would give the side characters a chance to shine since we don't get to see them enough in ... the main plot of the anime. Sadly, that didn't happen and I was fully disappointed. What's the meaning of releasing special episodes, if only the main characters are there??
The second thing that bothered me was that the animators knocked almost immediately out of the action a certain someone, while trying to get the best out of all the others. There were definitely some failures, like treating Kaminari as stupid and coward or unreasonably making Todoroki not use his power when he could have, that left me with this feeling of dissatisfaction.

All in all, I liked the plot, but I would suggest they spread the story into 4 episodes instead of 2, so that we'd have the chance to enjoy the rest of the cast too. I'd finally recommend the Studio work better on the characters by removing unnecessary dialogues/monologues and providing them with more meaningful action.

I had a great time reading this manga, UNTIL.....

If I was asked what impression Awfully Damn Kiss and Hug left me with that would be disappointment. Not from the start though. Let me explain:

When I started reading the manga and as the story kept unfolding I was more and more interested in it. The art was truly outstanding and the characters seemed to develop well. The story was very intriguing and really drew me in. But, the ending was soooo anticlimactic.... I mean, the plot had so much potential to continue and offer its characters more depth than that. Instead, what we got was ... a sudden and very rushed ending, which left me with so many questions about what's next.

I was unsatisfied and sad , because I was enjoying myself so much reading it, but the ending was such a failure. Many things were left unanswered and the characters honestly deserved better.

Awfully Damn Kiss and Hug is a great story, which in my opinion is worthy of your time, although be prepared to be disappointed in the ending.

I enjoyed this anime to the fullest. It was my first time watching an anime of this genre and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed at all.

What I LOVED MOST was that the overall atmosphere reminded me of Alice in Wonderland in its darker version (more specifically, Alice Madness Returns) as well as the Escape Room games. I found that was completely unique and highly entertaining.

If I had to note something less satisfactory that would might be the character development which by all means was okay, if someone considers the fact that the series consists of only 16 ... episodes. The chemistry between the main characters is beautiful and the bond they share is guided both by each one's benefit and some kind of affection making the whole thing entirely intriguing.

All in all, I was fully satisfied by Satsuriku no Tenshi (Angels of Death) and I would highly recommend it to those who want to experience something different, dark but light and refreshing at the same time.
