I will start off that I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It differs from Miyazaki's work due to that it was made by his son Goro Miyazaki. I have read the tales of earthsea by ursla leguin. I enjoyed the books, but they had some flaws that significantly detracted from the plot. For example a important dialogue between the main character and his wife would be 1 page and then there would be 3 pages on an insignificant sea voyage. I don't mind vivid details, but at a point it just gets boring. On the other hand I found that this movie was quite fluid ... and moved along well. The art was beautiful with some aspects from other Miyazakis films. Overall I would recomend that you watch this movie.

I am writing this review after only 5 episodes so i might rewrite it if my opinion changes. I have watched all of the original FMA and read the manga. From what ive seen of brotherhood, like the description, it follows the manga. Though the main plot is similar between the anime and the manga the side plots vary. I noticed that the art of the show is different... since when did you see eds hair not in a pony tail??? Overall this seems like an above average show, but not epic by any means.

If found this anime entertaining to watch but overly gory. I don't mid at all when there is blood, but frequently, arms go flying! The english dubs where pretty bad, but subs are good. Minus occasional sick joke to lighten the mood, this anime was somewaht sad.

Overall, good but too gory

Story 10:
+The story is one of the best of any anime movie I have ever seen. The diverse themes can make anybody love it. The ending was happy, yet left you with a sinking sad feeling.

Art 9:
+The animation is typical of Kyoto Animation. It was very good but not awesome. The characters are very well portrayed.

Sound 9:
+I watched the subs first then the dubs. The English dubs where of excelent quality. Otherwise sound was good.

Charectrer 10:
+Between all the the characters, you will have to love one of them. After watching I felt that I knew the characters as well as I know my friends.The contrast ... between the witch sisters significantly adds to the story.

Enjoyment 10:
+I really loved it. The plot keeps you watching with very few boring points.

Overall 10:
+I think that this is a true masterpiece, and all people who like anime should watch Spirited Away.

I watched Air because I like Kannon and Clannad. Air, like Clannad has to do with interesting characters dealing with odd and supernatural events within their daily lives. It all starts with a traveling puppeteer who is down on his luck. He is search for the "winged girl" that his mother searched for. He befriends an odd girl who has no friends. Could she be the fabled girl? The story is composed of three arcs(chapters). The first is the story from the puppeteers view. This was the best of the three arcs. The second was set in the distant past. This one was pretty good. ... Finally, the last arc is told from the view of a crow. This was my least favorite arc. Overall pretty good.

I am usually not a fan of mecha anime. I found that Eureka Seven was different than most mecha shows. It had more plot and story compared to combat. The ending was not as good as I expected it to be. Also, it was quite confusing and open ended.I thought it was very well planned with few boring episodes. The charecters each had their own uniqe niche within the story. Overall, I found this anime quite entertaining.
