I'm gonna get straight to the point, the story isn't good by any stretch of the imagination (if you could even call it a story) but it has fantastic animation and fast paced engaging fight scenes with levels of intensity I've only seen in Shonen style shows whilst still injecting stupid jokes into it - regardless of the quality of the jokes the way they were slid into the most intense scenes gave them impact (they author clearly knew what they were doing), it also has cuteness and cringe in equal proportions to sooth your soul but not let you grow numb to the cuteness ...

Kanata no astra is Among us crewmate edition soaked in drama with light planet seasoning. What do I mean?

the start is some world building, stating how advanced society is and having the character leave on a trip, something happens - they get stranded in space trying to get home all whilst the newly selected captain is informed that their is a saboteur among them. During their journey they bond, learn more about each other and protect one and other whilst at the same time one character tries to prevent their survival. The looming threat added tension to otherwise meaningless interactions which was rather interesting to ...

Preliminary (6/24 eps)
Environment building 10/10

The story doesn't really do anything all that unique, the thing though is that it really doesn't need to. Most modern movies and tv shows are nothing more than recycled ideas with slight changes based on the preferences of the author. As such, I don't see any issue with this, yeah sure it does have the whole team 7 vibe from Naruto but so does one piece, bleach and pretty much any other show of this type. Aside from that, the setting is quite different from Naruto as such the interactions are quite different and that I believe is where this shows unique ...

It was a great movie, though honestly I don't really want to call it that since the first half an hour was a recap episode which left the movie part to be quite short. Some complained about how it was essentially the same thing as the tv show but with saving another damsel in distress but I don't believe that is necessarily a bad thing. It began as a simple rescue mission with goblins involved and evolved as more information was collected. As far as the ideal adventure goes it hits the mark incredibly well after all you can't call something an adventure if you ...

Mixed Feelings
Whilst I do agree with the other reviews stating it's general un-originality in terms of plot (both kinds), character design and development as well as overall art style there was at least one area in which I found some intrigue. This is because in most anime of this type the protagonist already has amnesia or just a particularly unremarkable background filled with plot holes and hastily hidden with distraction and plot armour. However, in this anime the main protagonist actually had a decent backstory, we found out when the creature affected him, when it affected his friend, when he decided to fight the dragons and ...
