CA:TRR is set in some futuristic land where magic and science were combine and chicks with no magic were sexually abused and used as canon fodders. One antagonist in one anime involves men who were commanded by chicks with attitude, while in the other anime, the antagonist there are not only dragons from another dimension, but also the bureaucracy who uses them. The fanservice in one anime was more intense than the other one.

People in control of their other worldly creatures uses cellphones to control them, while in the other anime they have special cards and sometime their pet may question their master's intention.
