Sword Art Online (popularly known as SAO) is a survival game in which players in the game must finish all 100 levels to be free from living in the game forever. The story revolves around the player, Kirito, who is desperately fighting his way to the top level to survive.
Story - 9: The story was unique. One aspect I loved in this story is the video game resembles a lot of other MMORPGs today. A bit off topic but throughout the whole anime, I just kept making connections with SAO and Maplestory. I felt like this element to the story made it so enjoyable. The
...
story, despite being a survival story, has a fun and relaxing feel to it. There is a lot of romance as you get into the novel and connections with the friends Kirito makes along the way. The story definitely deserves a solid 9. The only reason why I felt like it didn't deserve a 10 was the fact that there were some skips between episodes that felt a bit awkward. Some characters just appear out of nowhere honestly and I understand they're minor characters, but try to elaborate their part in the story. Also so characters whom which are also minor, really play a role for one episode or two and then sorta just drift away from the main storyline. I want to call them filler episodes, but I don't think that's the right term. Interesting characters, but not always necessary introductions. One final part that I found a bit cliche was the second half of the story. I don't want to give away spoilers, but I felt like the second part of this anime was really cliche. It wasn't really unique as the first part. I enjoyed it but I was a bit disappointed. (NOTE: I'm not talking about a second season or a OVA)
Art - 8: The art and animations were great. Some of the sword fights felt a bit slow only because the attacks were essentially single blow fights. But otherwise I loved the art. It was clean and crisp. Solid 8 for sure.
Sound - 7: The sound was good. I can't really think of any special sound that was really good. The music to the anime sounded really familiar. A lot of the BGM felt like it was following similar notes to other songs that I cannot name. They were enjoyable none the less and were fitting.
Character - 8: The character development was good. The reason why I wouldn't put it as high is the reason I didn't give the story a 10, Gaps. I felt like in a lot of the characters (including Kirito) there were gaps in the story that didn't explain enough. Of course they're not large enough to deter from a good understanding of who these characters are but still gaps. All the characters really make you feel. Either happy, sad, or mad when you see them. They are somewhat cliche characters, but I guess you don't need to fix something that isn't broken...right?
Enjoyment - 9: Loved it. I enjoyed all the episodes up until the second part. That's the biggest reason why I can't give a 10. The second part was fun to watch, but it wasn't as grasping as I thought it would be.
Overall - 8: Solid 8, I thoroughly enjoyed the anime and would suggest to anyone looking for an adventure type of anime. It's definitely worth watching.

REC is a relaxed romance manga about a salaryman and a aspiring anime voice actress. There is some comedy, drama, and the manga is a bit mature.
Story 6 - The story wasn't very what's the word... PAZZAZZ. Seriously. The story is pretty boring. The biggest jump in the story in my opinion is the fact that these two love birds meet each other after a fire at the girl's apartment. The story is seriously boring. I mean it's not like dead retarded boring. But don't expect to laugh or cry. I basically read this whole thing with a straight face. The one thing that is
...
pretty good about the story is the fact that everything is explained clearly. I didn't feel lost yesterday.
Art 8 - The art was nice. Mature and well colored. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of style
Character 7 - The characters were somewhat interesting. They acted like actual people. It wasn't anything exaggerated or underplayed. I could honestly see people in this manga really existing in real life. Nice characteristics and I don't really think any of these characters are anything to look down upon.
Enjoyment 7 - I did enjoy it. It was decently entertaining and helped me pass some time during lecture. Very relaxed and enjoyable.
Overall 7 - I finally gave this manga a 7. I did like it but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list. Recommended to anyone looking for a decent manga that isn't going to create too much excitement. It's enjoyable and pretty clear.

Onanie Master Kurosawa is a mature drama manga about a boy named Kurosawa who jerks off everyday. This habit will get him into trouble and bring him great fortune.
Story - 8: I really enjoyed the story. I understand a lot of people really like this manga. I found the story very interesting. This score would be an easy 10 had it not been for two things. I felt the first few chapters were really boring and the ending felt abrupt. Everything in the middle is fantastic. Note: This manga is a bit perverted, but it's not ecchi (thank god). I feel like it is a
...
mature kind of perverted-ness.
Art - 9: Crude art style. The copies I got looked like the characters were colored in quickly like the night before. But That doesn't mean it was bad. The characters themselves were drawn well and fit the mood of the story.
Character - 10: There's a huge diverse group of characters. Also for the first time, supporting characters are not static. In some of these romance/drama, everyone stays the same throughout the whole book. This is the opposite. I want to say nearly everyone changes somehow. I think there were maybe 2-3 out of like 10 who didn't change. I think the characters are the main highlight of the manga. I really enjoyed them the most.
Enjoyment - 9: As stated above, the beginning seems a bit slow. After that I really enjoyed it to the last page.
Overall - 9: Strong 9. I know i hyped on the beginning a lot but really what stops this from getting a 10 is the ending. It just doesn't feel in place. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a serious drama manga.

Lucky Star is an anime about 4 female students and their lives. It's very relaxed and is a lot about school life.
Story - 7: This may just be me but i found the storyline very confusing. I don't understand very well what's going on half the time. But when I do, it's funny. The scenarios are very funny and there's plenty of humor. I wouldn't say that I laughed constantly, but I did snicker a few times per episode. Quite entertaining.
Art - 8: The art is very childish. It fits the fun and relaxed setting and tone.
Sound - 8: Good sound quality. Nothing special here.
Character
...
- 10: Here's where I think the anime shines the most. The characters are very fun and lovable. All 4 girls are unique in their own way. I can easily say that people can connect with one of them. It was really fun to watch because of the characters. They really fun to watch.
Enjoyment - 8: I really enjoyed the anime. It was funny. The only thing I don't really like is the complexity of the story line. I may simply be misunderstanding in which there is no real story line but yeah.
Overall - 8: Great anime. I wouldn't say it's going to be a favorite. But I could suggest it to anybody who likes a good laugh and/or enjoys the school life animes.
Note: There's no ecchi or love in this anime. I know love is really becoming an aspect about animes today, but there's little to none in this. Doesn't take anything out of the anime though.
Please enjoy!

Shokugeki no Souma is a story about a mainstream boy who is trying to get through the toughest and most famous cooking school in Japan. Yukihira Souma has a dream of becoming a professional chef and surpass his father at cooking.
Story -10: Right now, the story is amazing. I've literally fell in love with this. It's no doubt one of the most unique and groundbreaking mangas I've read before. It mixes in lots of comedy, adventure, drama, school life, and even a little romance just do finish the cake! The story really reminds me of Prince of Tennis, Naruto, and Iron Chef all in
...
one. It's really a great story.
Art - 9: Artwork looks great. Very nice and clean look to it. Serious and playful at the same time. Great mixture!!
Characters - 10: These characters are magnificent. They're loving and challenging. Souma is relaxed, but serious when need be. He's strong, faithful to his friends, and loves everyone. Best of all, he never backs down from a challenge. These characters are excellent.
Enjoyment - 10: The novel is just great from the start. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far and the new chapters are no exception to that. Outstanding performance so far!
Overall - 9: Even though I gave a lot of the previous criterion 10s, the story is still very new and doesn't have a lot of chapters yet. It is updating at a pretty good rate though. However for the time being, I'll keep it at a 9 since it's still young. If the manga continues just as it is now and sticks to the story line, the will easily be a 10. I strongly recommend this to anyone who's looking for something to read. I know some people this is ecchi but so far, I haven't really seen a huge ecchi theme. Sometimes the characters get all flustered up eating the food and it is portrayed like sex, but really I think thats just humorous. Don't read this if you're just looking for a good ecchi theme book. It's not :|

Rising x Rydeen is basically a superhero story. It's about a group of "strangers" who fight evils in the world. These strangers have extraordinary powers like lightning, fire, etc.
Story - 9: I find the storyline a little confusing. It's really good, but can be confusing in some parts. It's very unique and very funny too which is the main reason why I gave it a 9. If it becomes clearer, I think this would easily become a 10. So far the story is extreme good and worth reading. Somehow this story kinda reminds me of Love Hina. Silly but serious guy who in a
...
sense is trying to win the hard to get girl.
Art - 9: Great artwork. Emphasis on boobs which really is annoying in my opinion.
Characters - 9: The characters are extremely serious when it comes to fight but just plain silly any time after. They look like heroes but then turn into high schoolers. I think it's a fun and entertaining mix.
Enjoyment - 10: So far I really really like this manga. Even though it's not the best I've read or am reading, I'm really interested in what happens in this manga. I feel like it's got 2 story lines happening at once I guess...
Overall - 9: Great manga. Read it if you like adventure, harems, love and romance, and just simple comedy.
Note: If you're here for fighting, you'll be disappointed. Sorry :(

Minamoto-Kun Monogatari is an adaptation of Tale of Genji. I actually have read ToG and really enjoyed it. This is pretty similar. Modernizes it into a college boy's life. The book would fit under Comedy, Ecchi, Harem, Romance, Seinen.
Story - 9: It's not super original, but it is captivating. I won't lie I read to the first 50 chapters within like an hour. I think the story can somewhat connect to some people and how they're struggling with different relationships. Minamoto himself experiments with different women from different backgrounds. I think a lot of people can relate which makes this story good.
Art - 10: I
...
think the art is amazing. Everyone looks really pretty! This may sound gay but the guys look good too. Great art. More mature than I expected and very pretty.
Characters - 9: Idiot and pathetic protagonist. But that's really mainstream now in these love stories. I still think the characters are really unique and funny. I love them all.
Enjoyment - 9: Enjoying the story so. It's actually pretty funny to read this. I've laughed out loud several times. I already stated that it is consistently producing good chapters. I'm just hoping the updates come faster :D
Overall - 9: Very nice in general. I would easily recommend this book to anyone who's interested in love stories and harems.

First of all, this is Hayao Miyazaki. Nothing is bad. Let's just all understand that.
Me personally, this was my first Studio Ghibli film. I was swept away.
Introduction: The story is about a boy named Patsu and a girl named Sheeta who are in search of Laputa, the Castle in the Sky. They encounter dangers and triumphs in their journey there. But, something else is brewing. When they meet, Patsu notices a peculiar necklace worn by Sheeta. Could this necklace change their fates?
Story - 10: Such a unique story. The idea of a journey to a castle in the sky is definitely fairytail style. I
...
loved the story itself. It was very clear and easy to understand. In addition, the story can fit into a lot of categories. Adventure, Romance, Tragedy, Slice of Life just to name a few. The story feels timeless and every time I watch this, I just feel like a 6 year old (first time I ever watched this movie).
Art - 10: Gorgeous characters and animations. It fits the kid-like tone to the storyline.
Sound - 9: This movie is old so the sound on it isn't as spectacular as newer movies and animes. The sound effects are old but I guess it would've been top of the line back in the 1980s.
Characters - 10: There are only a few characters that I actually remember from all the mangas and animes I've encountered. I can easily remember every character from this movie. Each character is unique and doesn't remind me of anyone else from other stories. They're colorful, young, bright, and courageous. Everyone, from the worst bad guy, to the heroes of the story.
Enjoyment - 10: I've watched this movie at least 10x in 2012. Not counting the times before then. It's magical every single time. I don't often watch movies over and over. This is one I can watch at least 9001 times. Every second is a masterpiece.
Overall - 10: I can't say much else about this movie. I can recommend this without a 2nd thought to anybody. Heck I can walk down 5th Ave and talk to every single person about this movie. It's just that amazing.

This one is a keeper. Definitely a manga that imprinted a lasting impression on me. Love Hina is an old but gold story. Although I really hated the anime, the manga is just magnificent. The story of a young college boy trying to study hard and find love is really fun to follow.
Story - 10: Excellent storyline all throughout the manga. I don't think a single chapter was boring. The storyline is very serious at times and very relaxed. It has so many aspects you just don't find in a single manga now. I just can't emphasize how great it is. Please read before I
...
spoil it. I think what I really like about this manga is that it doesn't emphasize on anything specifically. In other mangas, something more ecchi would focus on sex or boobs. This balances everything out perfectly. Not too much ecchi, not too much school life, and not too much stray from the main storyline.
Art - 9: Great artwork. Nothing super special, but it is very nice and clean.
Characters - 10: Unforgettable characters. Their lives and personalities are really good. Although they are cliche, I guess the way they're all put together makes it good.
Enjoyment -10: Thoroughly enjoyed all throughout the manga. Literally from page 1 to page XXXX. It was perfection at its finest.
Overall - 10: Easy 10. I can't think of any other love story that has inspired me and entertained me as much as this one. Also since it is pretty old, I feel like this is a great manga to read. I would recommend it to anyone. Literally anyone.

Motto To LOVE-Ru is a spin-off of the To LOVE-Ru series.
If you're a To LOVE-Ru fan, this is going to deliver.
Story - 8: The story(ies) are really just miniature plots in each episode. Most of them don't connect to each other in any specific ways. The story really strays from the fact that Yuuki is dealing with aliens and really everyone's treated more like regular humans. Most of these episodes are centered around school life and funny mishaps that make Yuuki get into trouble. I really liked the small plots, but it did go away from the main storyline from the original series.
Art- 9: Great
...
art and animation. Nothing significantly different from the other seasons.
Sound - 8: Good sound. Nothing significantly different from the other seasons.
Characters - 9: You really learn about the characters in a relaxed way in this series. In general they're all the same as before. They're all lovable and have great personalities that fit the story.
Enjoyment - 9: I liked the shows all throughout the series. There were a few awkward or boring plots but in general they're all great.
Overall - 9: Great in general. I would recommend this if you enjoyed something like Love Hina or the previous seasons.
