I can't believe that this awesome manga doesn't have a review yet! Sadly, I'm not the best choice for something like that, but I'll try my best. ^^'

First things first: if you don't like yuri, smut yuri or BOTH, don't bother reading this manga, because it's clearly not for you. But then again, why don't you give it a chance? You may discover that yuri is actually not that bad? It's for you to decide.

Wow, this manga was fun. I really can't believe that it's from a manga-ka, that's famous for writing yaoi. It was a really good read, unlike some other titles of the ... genre, where all there is to it is SEX, SEX, SEX and oh, did I mention the SEX. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for smut, but a decent story beforehand makes the smut all the more enjoyable. And this manga has that. It's not anything special, it's not original either, because I can easily think of Rosario to Vampire for example, where we also can observe "yokais" and a human, who accidentally got in their world... But still, this manga was very enjoyable. The relationship between Arare and Kiri was really sweet, they had their issues: but this time it was not the parents' dissaproval, but the fact, that if they consume their relationship, Arare will become a yokai, too. At moments, it was heartwhelming :3
And putting their romantic story aside, we get to see some really tasty smut here and there and not only between them two. But not for a moment did I felt awkward, like I do in other similar smut mangas. Not everyone was clinging on our Arare, not everyone wanted to "nail" her, like it has always been in other similar mangas.
Another thing I should note is the comedy. I literally laughed my ass off. The humour is at a top level and will surely bring a smile or two on your faces. The main reason for that is the comic-relief character Pero, who is just plain awesomness, and their teacher, who is funny even by only looking at. I mean, look at that neck!

The art is very well drawn, no complaints here. Even considering that the majority of the characters are yokai, the manga-ka managed to make them look really hot for the most part. The side characters are just hideous, but don't play a big role so no worries. Another thing that I think I should mention are the sex scenes - they are drawn beautifully, almost makes you guilty for watching the girls doing it: that's how pure it is. There are some pervy scenes too though, but again, they were drawn really nice.

The characters are easily likeable. Arare is just your ordinary girl, that likes boys, but discovers her true nature eventually. She acts a bit selfish at times, but in the end, her love proves that she's honest and didn't mean all the things she's done. She's also a great friend, which, you can make sure of by the end of 14 chapter. Kiri on the other hand is a cheerful neko, she'll also do everything for her friends when in trouble, as proved in many occasions. There is really nothing you can hate about her - she's just too perfect, she even has nekomimi :D She has her sensitive side though, but then again - that's what makes her so cute. And Pero... is Pero. lol She's really hillarious, whenever I see her, I'd laugh hard, that's the kind of character she is. Same goes with the teacher ^^

Did I enjoy it? God knows how much I did! It's really rare these days to find a smut yuri manga with a decent plot AND with such a great comedy in it. I strongly recommend it.

First things first: If you want hentai, or, in other word, hot lesbian sex, this is an instant 10 for you. Go watch it now.

And now for some serious look over things...

Story: what story? They are basically already together and have sex almost 85% of the time. The only sign of a plot is that one flashback, where Reo tells Mai how she feels. Then, approximately 20 econds later, Mai is seme ing Reo in some room, saying that she feels the same. Now I'm pretty sure that in the game she gave it much more thought than this... But here, she acted like some ... hentai-maniac, for crying out loud. It made no sense! Oh, and if you think this is spoiling - no, it's nothing like that. There's just nothing to spoil. The only thing I could spoil is what positions did they try on and etc. So... if you're a yuri fan like me, but you are quite satisfied with the billions of doujinshi over the net, and want something cute, resulting with sex - you won't get it. You won't have the chance to relate to those girls at all. They are just doing it on random. And even the flashback didn't help; according to it, it really was spontaneous for them to get together. If you're a yuri fan that likes yuri sex though, and you don't need much of a story to enjoy some yuri goodness - yeah, this will do the trick. I myself also liked it, to be honest. There's no yuri fan that won't like it. They are cute, they are hot, they are changing poses, they are doing IT. But sometimes only the sex is not enough. It's for you to decide which side are you on. And that will be your criteria for rating. For me, the story was 2/10, the sex was 10/10, so in overall I got: 6.

Art: There were some disturbing moments here and there, hyper smooching, fast moving and etc. I can't describe it properly, but in other words - the animation was not fluid. So, to save some time and drawing, some scenes, which should've been slow and beautiful turned into fast and disturbing ones. The character designs are great though, and Mai totally grew on me as a "design". You'll most probably love it, unless you absolutely hate cute stuff but that's really highly unlikely. I personally gave the animetion 8/10, since normally, I don't give less than 7 for art, and this was definitely not a 7.

OST: Well, I don't know if it's just me... But I had this problem with Shoujo sect, too... /watch it by the way, it HAS a plot/ So, throughout the episode there's almost non-stop piano music, totally unfitting piano music. I personally get disturbed by it and I lose concentration so it ruined for me the good moments. It might be different for you and you might manage to ignore it, or even like it /LOL/... It depends on the person. 1/10 for shitty piano. The voice actors did a great job with their characters and their moaning was all very cute. They deserve a 10 in my opinion. So overall for OST I'll give 5/10.

Characters: Oh yes, they had some really long legs and nice tits, small and big - to satisfy every viewer... And their moaning, and their chemistry, and the sex!!! Oh, wait. Right, so there's basically no character development at all. Don't expect that. They suit each other and that's pretty much about it. 4/10 because they [i]really[/i] suit each other =D

Enjoyment: It's not all about the sex!!!!

9/10 oh well, you can't blame me. It's 100% sure that you will like the sex too. The problem with SonoHana is not the ero-scenes themselves, it's the backstory, the character development, the OST /there is NO hentai with good ost though, as far as I know, if you know one, then please do tell me about it... So I can't judge them/, partially the art... But mostly the story. I'm sure that in the game everything made more sense and was even more enjoyable, because the player got to know the characters, their story, and their hardships. But here? We get the sex.

All in all, I recommend it. Boys, girls, cats, whatever. It may be plotless, but the sex is just too good. And like I said, if the sex is what you're interested in - then you're in for a ten. It's really cute and it's obvious that they love each other /though it's not explained to us properly, their backstory, I mean/. It's not some forced lesbo fuck, so it's worth the watch.

First, let me say that I gave this a 10, simply because I'm a big fan of the franchize and, surely, this special was pretty entertaining and nostalgic somehow. As I review, I'll give more suited rating.

Story: It's a beach episode, actually. Yes, the good, old, never-getting-old beach episodes. But putting that aside, it revolves around tormenting Reito. Now's the time to say - if you haven't completed Mai-HiME, don't watch this. You won't get a thing. Now I must say, of all the specials I've seen, this is the most entertaining so far, it was funny, sort of a parody and hillarious. Some may ... not like that a lot of characters don't have lines and the special is only about the humour though. It was a simple story filled with smiles - Let's say an 8 ;)

Art: I personally think, that the art is even more beautiful than the art in the anime itself. The animation was smooth, the shadows and light effects were nice, everything was drawn so well. There's this one scene though, when Reito turns back and looks at Mai and Mikoto - they got a little lazy there and it doesn't look alright. Still, a perfect 9/10 from me. This is by far, the special with the most awesome art I've seen up to date. And that's saying something.

OST: Well, nothing new here, but if you're familliar with the soundtrack for Mai-HiME - then you shouldn't doubt that this gets a 10/10 from me. Also, never have I seen so many songs included in just one 4 minute special. Watch it, and you'll see what I'm talking about. The VAs did an awesome job as always, too.

Characters: 9/10 Well, my only complain is that not everyone had their chance to shine, sadly. But still, for the 4 minutes at our disposal, the characters totally will grow on you once again. Everyone's acting like usual, but that's not always a bad thing. At the end of the special, I was already sobbing that there's no 2 season. They will make you feel nostalgic, that's for sure. Oh, and, Mai is acting pretty funny at the beginning so she actually made me like her a bit more, even though I'm not a fan of hers. And what's more - the heroine that brings me nuts /I'll save it for myself who she is/ actually didn't disturb me at all this time. It's all so nice and calmy; Perhaps you'll forgive those you hate, too. Even if just this once. Did I mention we have fanservice? Smoothly animated, too.

Enjoyment:10/10 Well, I'm a Mai-HiME fangirl, so I didn't expect less. I knew I would enjoy it but really, it was even greater than I expected. If you are also a big fan like me, you'll most probably enjoy it. If not - you might; depends on your sense of humour :)
