This show is good BECAUSE the main character is a piece of shit.
I have seen a lot of controversial commentary on this show starting with season 1 all the way up until now and understandably so. From my perspective however there is a crucial disconnect between the viewers of the show and the message that is attempting to be portrayed. Rudeus is reincarnated in season one after living his life as a disgusting degenerate. Now that he is in a new world he retains all of his prior memories and his character is still the same as he was but he has been giving
...
a fresh chance to try to live a better life. Rudeus throughout the narrative consistently looks back on how he was before reincarnation and it is EXTREMELY clear that he doesnt think that he is perfect in any sort of way. He is SUPPOSED to be gross, he is written to seem repulsive, but he is also a clear example of something thats important to know even in our own lives. That change is possible and you dont need to stay as you are. Everyone makes mistakes although most not as severe as what Rudeus has done however it is a clear message that change and improvement is possible for anyone which is something I can personally appreciate.
If we stripped away the fact that Rudeus is a degenerate and he became a perfect person like so many of the viewers seem to want we would be left with just another generic isekai power fantasy. This show is about self improvement, growth, and learning how to form relationships with others.
Overall I give S2 PT.2 an 8/10
It does a very good job of presenting the aforementioned themes and Rudeus grows and shoulders a lot more responsibility in this season in particular then in the past. Having to decide between going to save his mother and supporting his new family. Especially after the Hydra fight there is some very interesting self discovery which I personally felt was some of the best writing we have seen thus far.

When I watched Bleach initially in 2016, I fell in love with Kubo's work. The show felt like it had a life of its own, and out of the big 3, it was quickly my favorite, which is why I felt so disappointed when it finished airing. The final episode of the initial Bleach left me feeling extremely discontent. Not only did it not actually wrap up the story because it needed to include the entire final arc, but the arc we left off on was one of the weakest in the series. Looking back on it, I realized my issues with the show. The
...
original Bleach anime could have paced significantly better. Often, episodes would drag out things that didn't need to be dragged out, and on top of that, a large amount of poorly written filler added to my distaste. The Bount Arc, for example, was one of, if not the worst, story arcs I have ever watched in all of fiction. The anime's presentation significantly hindered its phenomenal music and well-designed characters. The action, which gave off an air of intensity in the manga, was dragged out to a point where it became almost boring.
So what did the new Bleach anime change that makes it so good? It's easy; they cut out all the bullshit. Thousand Year Blood War cuts out all the extra crap and gives us just the story. Bleach is a manga masterpiece, and the only thing holding it back in the past was its poor pacing and disgustingly lousy filler. Without that, the story is very well written. The anime stays utterly faithful to the source material, and because of that, it feels much more engaging. On top of this, the additional time the animators had to work on the project and the fact that the manga is currently finished gives them much more flexibility to work around when it comes to the show. This allows Kubo's writing and character design to shine while also being boosted by the beautiful music from studio Mappa and gorgeous animation and fight choreography. Thousand Year Blood War is the perfect anime adaptation. Full stop.

Highschool of the Dead
The horny zombie anime with literally no reason to exist.
Highschool of the dead takes the cake for being one of the worst shows I have watched in a long time. The issue it has is that it tries to have a story without actually having any semblance of one. The anime opens with the main cast in the high school they all go to together going about their day when a zombie starts banging on the gate and manages to infect one of the people inside. The first episode continues into revealing that all of Japan has been over run by zombies
...
and the main characters decide to ban together to try and find their parents and to survive. My issue with the story was not the original concept of them trying to find their families and survive together but my problem lies more in the fact that literally nothing happened. After the outbreak the main cast basically just drives around, picks up some random weapons, and tries to make it to their friends house for 12 episodes which took them multiple days for some odd reason. (Took them like a week to travel across one city?) Upon arrival to the first house they find that the pink haired woman's family is still alive so they stay there for a little bit and then it gets overrun by zombies and they leave. That is literally the whole show?
The worst part about it was the wasted opportunities they had for characters like the teacher who they set up to be a major antagonist and literally did nothing?
Although the show itself was a piece of hot garbage littered with unnecessary pantie shots wherever it could put them the art is actually pretty well done and the animation is smooth and well made. On top of that the sound design was relatively average, the opening theme being an actually decent song that didnt make me want to kill myself like watching the actual show did.

The way Fire Force does things isn't a linear sort of progression that is common in most works of fiction but instead it progresses like putting together a puzzle, first we get the edge pieces, the different organizations, groups, and elements of the story. These parts give us the starting information that we need, from here we move to the middle pieces where we are presented with little snips of information about the world here and there instead of being hit with all of one plot point at once. The reason fire force is so phenomenal is because the world is complex and well made.
...
As we continue through the franchise we learn more about the way Adolla works and how the bad guys are controlling things from the background. We as viewers know only what Shinra knows and so as we follow his character we pieces things together and eventually we will see this big reveal where the last piece goes in and everything falls into place. In my opinion, its just a matter of time.
Rating the Anime off of each individual part here are my ratings
Story
The universe of Fire Force is not a linear narrative like most shonen and that in my opinion is what sets it above and beyond. We know nothing. The characters know nothing. The engaging part about this show is how much we need to know before we can figure out what the hell is even going on and that what makes it so exciting, The plot of this season (when being pushed) was amazing, there were a few parts about it that annoyed me a little bit like how much time they wasted doing random stuff and how annoying that mole was but during the important plot moment this show was fantastic
7/10
Art
The animation and art work in Fire Force season two has lived up to the previous season if it has not gone beyond. The animation is fluid and the fight scenes are extremely fun to watch. I would rewind constantly just to see that satisfying kick, or that crazy explosion. The art style feels simple yet stylistic which gives it a nice feeling, its has a personality to it. The combination of these two things is a sight to behold.
10/10
Sound
The ops and eds for this season were well made, the first opening Spark-Again was wonderful and the second, Torch of Liberty was also a solid op. Outside of that the background music did its job but was nothing too special compared to other modern titles like Demon Slayer. I really liked how we got to hear Inferno again in this season because that op was a bop.
8/10
Characters
Shinra had phenomenal character development in this season and Arthur was still fun to watch. On top of that I really like how much growth we saw from Tamaki as she finally did something that wasn't just sitting on her butt half naked, hopefully next season we get to see more of her growing and using her power to its full potential.
8/10
Enjoyment
I really liked this season but I feel like it lacked more growth of the Adolla abilities that Shinra had compared to the first season and I would have loved to see more of that, on top of that I really hated that stupid mole from the second Amaterasu arc.
8/10
Overall I give this season an 8/10 It was pretty good but it was held back from being perfect due to its pacing issues and how late most of the major growth happened also that stupid mole I hate that dumb mf

I have a few things I have to say about this show both good and bad my reviews go as follows
Story 5/10
The story is mediocre at best its basically nonexistent and the only times it shows is when the characters are at home together or when the girls pull a PornHub we cant do this stepbro. On the other hand the show doesn't have any noticeable plot holes and the pacing of the show was actually not half bad.
Art 4/10
Let me be frank the artwork in this show is very half assed. The character designs for the MC and the Teacher where both very bland
...
and basic looking which was surprising when you compare them to Rui who has a very good character design. Every once and a while the characters would have good designs but it was few and far between. As for the animation it was also very mediocre.
Sound 10/10
The music in this show is impeccable. The opening, ending, and background music are great and something I would listen to in my free time. The entire reason I watched this show was because of how good the opening is, if you would like to listen to it I will put a youtube link at the bottom of the review.
Character 6/10
In my opinion the characters in this show were actually not half bad. For the most part they were well written and had interested traits that made up for their lackluster designs for example our MC enjoyed writing and they highlighted that a lot. The reason I only gave the show a 6/10 was because they made so many interesting characters but only actually went into any depth for three of them.
Enjoyment 7/10
Overall I felt like this was something I didn't mind watching it was well paced and almost so bad it was good. Somehow this show managed to keep me interested by just how much of a mess the MCs life is. In a sense its so bad its good
Overall 6/10
Honestly Domestic Girlfriend wasn't terrible but I cant say that it was good enough to deserve higher. Its a good watch if you just want to watch something to pass time but not something you could ever really get into. Like if i were to describe it domestic girlfriend fans don't exist. Nobody cares enough about this show to actually talk about it but its there.
