Okay let's get over this one again. It's not bad in term of story but yeah, it's just a normal isekai anime where the MC is ridiculously OP and gets literally everything. At this point there isn't much original stuff left. Despite the story still, there are 2 major issues I have with this one:
First is the intentional cringe. You can't go one episode without someone act like "OMG what a surprise". I get it he is OP, and so what? Why are people even surprised. He has established the fact he is not someone normal.
The second thing is the pacing is all over the
...
place. The progression is weird. Sometime its fast (like really really fast) and sometime its slower to the point you can go take a nap, comeback and the story still haven't even progress.
Anyway, good art, good music, good character design (art only) and high production value with some (just little) original story to back it up. I'd give it a solid 6.5 (maybe 7).
Well, it's still a recommended from me. Watch it if you have never watched this kind before or you're running out of thing to watch. If you have watch enough "trash isekai" before then I guess you can read the synopsis or others reviews and decide for yourself. Or just skip it if you don't have the time.
Also, there is literally no romance in this thing, maybe there are in the original material, but I do not see any in the anime. Just a heads up

So it has finally ended. It has been a ride. This will remain the biggest cumback that I have ever seen in anime (at least for me, I havent watched that much).
The pacing is complete perfect.
The story is absorbing.
The characters are unique for the mains cast and generic for the side cast.]
The art is plain eyes candy.
With great animation and music to back it up, this has been an amazing anime
I remember criticising Ichikawa for his cringey delusionals no less than the first 3 episode but, the more this anime advances the more he comes to realise his feeling towards Yamada is something
...
else. It all started with episode 3, he finally realised that he actually like her. Episode 4 marks the first step in this relationship where they started to talk openly, as friend. Then comes episode 6, where he reaffirmed all of his thought to comes to the conclusion that he like her, in fact he like her so much. Everything after that is just sweet and cady, from the scenario to the interactions between them. No more calloused thoughts and delusional thinking, just plain diabetes and wholesomeness.
This is my very short review of this anime I hope you'll have the same experience that I did.

Okay where do I start with this one?
Insomniac - a person who regularly unable to sleep.
Okay so?
The story is about a couple who both suffer from insomnia. Which maybe have messed up their regular life alots. Nakami who has publicly disclosed that he has insomnia. Everybody in class doesn't seem to care much about it. One day while doing some chore in the old storage room of the school he stumbles across Magari, a girl who is sleeping in the same room. That is when he finds out she has been suffering the same as him but was hiding it from everyone.
Okay insomnia
...
I get it. But how the story even connects?
Back to the storage room. In typical rom-com fashion, the door broke while they are still inside it. They are stuck in there until Nakami called a friend who can help, a friend that was willing to hide the fact them have insomnia. The forced proximity gives birth to an unlikely bond, and the two find solace and comfort in each other's company. After trust has been built, Nagari offer to share the place to the fellow insomniac.
Luck didn't favour them as they have been discovered to have used the storage room for midday nap and were force out of there. Luckily, turns out it was the old room for the astrology club. So they reviled the astrology club, being a club they must take part in the club activities to maintain it. Along the way they build up their relationship based on mutual trust and belief.
Okay there is a story but how good is it?
Well, 10/10 good.
What made this so good is the interaction between them. Its the same high school way as the other romances but unique and sweet in it own way. Plus, astrology is not just for showing, the story displays some serious astrology/astrography related knowledge. The night sky isn't just plain black with some light dots. Its a picture that is painted with billions and billions of stars gathered over 13.7 billion years. A picture can be seen by eyes but can't just be capture easily. That is where astrography comes in.
The astrology aspect also help builds up amazing looking art with the aforementioned night sky painted directly down the water, sparkling in the eyes of Nakami and Maguri. Just plain eyes candy for viewers.
With solid story pacing, amazing animation and absorbing music to back it up to make an astonishing romance anime.
Spring 2023 has been blessed with many romance animes but for me this is the best of romance this season has to offer. Skip to Loafer is also very near this one while Bokuyaba has a slow and cringe start but has massive developments along the last six episodes, but I seem to enjoy this anime more. Just personal reference.
This probably one of the only time where I write a full review like this. I hope other people can enjoy the show like I do.

Imma keep this review short.
Unlike the manga counterpart, the anime adaptation of Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru is quite appealing to the Seinen demographic dude like me.
The pacing is good, each episode is packed with enough content that did not leave bored.
The story is absorbing, there are those annoying cliffhangers at the end of each episode.
The character design amazing, especially our main girl: Akane (Im saying this because I may or may not be a big Akanechii simp). The story focuses on the main couple and those from the guild and leaves out the minor characters.
The "drama" aspect is lite, most
...
of them come from the aforementioned cliffhangers.
The art is unique and appealing to me, maybe because of I don't watch Shoujo's that much.
Anyway give it a try I hope you'll have the same experience like I do.

I really enjoy this series.
The art style is great (chibi supremacy). The plot is well built and expected to some degree. The length is decent enough, each chapter has around 30 pages so it would be like 100-120 chaps for so when compared to a normal series. The romance was just cute and wholesome. This is just the kind of series where there is little to none amount of drama and just plain wholesome can cuteness.
Don't let the score from the anime prevent you from giving this series a try. Believe me you won't disappoint. Not to mention the amount of fan services since this
...
is an Ecchi.
