Man, this is a classic. Reaching this in my pokemon marathon even I remembered it was quite entertaining, and entertain me it did. These film takes on this ideal of are you really a being of the Earth if you were cloned into existence and while rather simple it's enough to make me think and understand what the clones mean, even if it's kinda dumb. having a big team of pokemon fight really amps up the stakes, along with everything being paced almost a little too fast.

So this isn't the iteration of pokemon I grew up with and I'm just now getting to it and even though i still prefer modern pokemon, this was quite enjoyable and charming to watch. The character development can be basic, but it's pokemon, it's not supposed to be super deep.
Point is if you enjoy pokemon and can get past the dated aspects of this anime it serves as an entertaining show that's perfect for just one a day slow burn through the show. 6/10 from a critical point of view but it's an easy 8/10 from a entertainment point of view. Oh and the ... |
