I've started this manga out of pure curiosity because it resembled Record of Ragnarok. But I was surprised to be different in so many aspects. The character development is still as present as ever with both parties being equally well described and their motives are clear from the start. The story is also well written, with Oda Nobunaga being the big bad as the ruler of Japan and needing to see bloodshed before he dies of old age. The other non-fighters are also drawn differently to see the difference between them and their fighters but their connection is well represented.
The only sad part is that ... it only updates once a month so the chapters are slow to appear. But the quality of the art is very good with very detailed expressions and backgrounds.
I definitely recommend it.

I will write a short review since I just finished watching the anime and well...it's something. For someone like me who has watched 7DS since the manga first aired I can say the first season of the anime is kind of ok- ish. Not my cup of tea but for some out there it may be an enjoyable watch.

The visuals are good, WAY better than the last seasons and it made the watch far more enjoyable. Also the voice acting was good, the one I disliked the most was Percival's (it grew so annoying after some time). The sound tracks are good, I like the ... first OP the most out of all but not groundbreaking just a good one.

Now..what annoyed me the most: the plot. It's slow paced and it takes a while to really start liking the action. And from experience it's not easy to like an anime with a slow pace if it's an adventure type anime. But the characters are likeable and the art style is really good.

The main villain, Arthur who now has completely gone off the rails and also Tristan are one of the main reasons I started watching the anime. Both have been favorite characters and seeing Arthur being the main villain here was both sad and interesting. I'm really looking forward to the plot development in the manga before the second season comes.

All in all I find 4 KoA to be an ok show, if you're into the adventure fantasy type anime that borderlines with friendship is magic give it a go. Personally it's not my favorite but I'm still looking forward for the second season.

After reading the story which is not finished, there are pros and cons to it.
The pros are like it shows, the art. The artist has really done himself using full colored pages instead of grayscale ones and it shows even better the emotions of people.
The story is with both pros and cons because it's entertaining, it has character development of both the main protagonist and the rest of the main crew but sometimes it feels rushed. There are indeed many scenes where the minor characters get a little bit of background story but others don't and we can only guess.
At some ... point I went back to check some aspects because it was so fast paced but all in all you could tell what was going to happen eventually.
The cons include the pacing as I said but that's all in my opinion. There are not that many gore scenes but there are indeed scenes that makes you cringe. The art really ads to these scenes but for a seinen story with yakuza I expected a little more scenes like that.

All in all it's a very good story, I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a relatively short manhwa that revolves around yakuza and also has a great art.
