This is my review of Boku no Hero Academia Movie 2: Heroes Rising, and pretty much my first review on this site. And it has some spoilers.
Plot: 8
The film has a "basic" plot, the ambition of the group of villains introduced is of a normal level of villainous shounen cliché, and actually, in my opinion, I even found the idea of utopia a little bit boring, where the strongest rule, like, really? Wasn't there anything better for you to wish, my dude? It is obvious that such a thing wouldn't work as he wanted. But other than that, the plot of this film has something
...
very interesting, it has a direct connection with the current arc of the manga, which involves the experiments in which Shigaraki was put, in the film the villain Nine ends up being this guinea pig for Shigaraki. There were two things that bothered me in the end: How tf did Deku manage to pass One for All so easily to Bakugou? Seriously, just touching hands??? Didn't you need to eat your hair to pass the DNA like All Might did? Unless Deku somehow injected the blood through some wound, but then the movie had to have made it obvious, it was very weird, and for that reason I was thoughtful for the rest of the fight. The other point that bothered me was All Might without explaining why the individuality was not with Bakugou in the end.
Animation and Soundtrack: 10
I put these together because the two, equally, exceeded my expectations. Especially in the final fight, that was a delight to the eye, it was amazing and worthy of a max score.
Characters: 9
After thinking for a while I saw that the characters were very well used in this film, especially the people of class 1-A, everyone, without exception, played an important role in the battles and in the moments where they were needed. I loved how the film divided the students into groups for the battles, it was very good. And of course, the villain, Nine, that villain is freaking amazing, not talking about his ambition that I already commented, his design and atmosphere are incredible, I loved this villain and how he was used. I also liked the drama of Katsuuma and Mahoro, Horikoshi really knows how to write child characters very well.
Enjoyment: 9
It was a good movie to watch, worthy of Boku no Hero and its epic.
Final score: 9
