Even for something standalone, all the fanservice really brings this down to just as average as a normal season one episode.

Don't get me wrong, it fits right in as a normal episode, but not one I think I would have enjoyed too much. It's got a few wholesome moments, but he's with topless women for about half the episode.

It is always nice to see more of Kominami and Kurisu, as they are the two most neglected in the main series, so that gives a few points.

A complaint that I haven't really brought up till now, (that really isn't a complaint, it doesn't affect how I'm ... scoring), is how the world seems to work completely in Nariyuki's favor. It's straight up like god himself is helping Nariyuki out sometimes.

Overall. Mid.

For the anime We Never Learn, this is a well rounded, fun to watch OVA. Good mini plot, great use of bringing all the characters in, and even explaining some small plot that we had heard about earlier in the series. Very cool :3

If you enjoyed the rest of We Never Learn, you'll definitely enjoy this little standalone episode, it could fit in anywhere in the normal series and you'd never be able to tell.

Everything else I've said about the other two still stand, but this was good as something standalone. I think if this was in the main series, I would definitely have some ... complaints about it. Good thing it isn't!

Season two has it's highs and lows. Some of my favorite episodes, while also absolutely falling flat at the end. If you haven't, please go read the manga. You will find much more content, and an ACTUAL ending.

I found season two of We Never Learn to be quite a bit more enjoyable than season one, and there are a few main reasons for that.

1. Relationships between characters have already been established, and now it's a lot more interesting to watch them grow and change throughout each episode.
2. Some of these episodes are a lot more emotionally driven and serious then some of the episodes in ... season one.
3. The OP was better :P

There isn't a whole lot to say as I hold quite a few of the same opinions as I had from season one but oh well.

And the ending. The ending was such a let down. They had plenty of material to work with, they could have made OVA's, some shorts even. But no. Nothing. And for how the anime leaves off, it is sweet, but very very bad considering what type of anime this is. Leaving us on a cliffhanger, and never showing the result is cruel.

Overall this anime was an enjoyably average harem experience. The romance is cute, the jokes land once in a while, the atmosphere is bubbly, and there's not a whole lot to complain about.

But there really isn't a whole lot to compliment either.

I've read the manga, and have watched the anime twice, and while this anime does provide an enjoyable experience it is also a very forgettable one. Some main things I want to talk about are below.

Plot: The plot overall is actually pretty interesting, sets itself up nice, and gives a lot for the viewer to look forward to regarding it's development. And I really ... do appreciate that. I would appreciate it more, it more of the story focused on the main overarching plot though. So much time is spent on fanservice or stupid misunderstandings that some episodes make you forget that these characters are actually smart. It somehow makes us, the viewer, feel like a genius. Solid. But absent quite often.

Characters: The characters are actually quite good. All of them fit into stereotypes that you can find elsewhere, but also manage to have their own unique traits. Take Kominami for example. She is introduced in your usual, "Oh wow, are you in middle school?" "Nuh uh, I'm actually older than you," type fashion. Or in simpler terms, she's loli bait. But, they don't make that the focus of her character. She has a personality and you watch her grow closer to Nariyuki, and see shifts in how she acts. And it's like this for all the other characters too, they all grow which is a great way to make the show feel a lot more three dimensional.

Fanservice: There was just so much of it. I know this is supposed to be ecchi, and it doesn't take anything off of my score, but boy oh boy is it abundant.

Animation: Not bad, not great, not much to say about it.

Season One Overall: A fun watch, but only if you're into the genre. If you're not it could come off as a bit much sometimes, and other times boring.
