Both animes center around music and the majority of the main cast is female and in high school. The main goal the characters strive to achieve from each anime is winning their respective competitions. Fantastic animation, amazing soundtrack (as expected of animes of the music genre), great voice acting, and a touch of yuri in both animes if you don't mind it.

Both animes center around music and the majority of the main cast is female. The characters from each anime have obstacles to surpass in order to reach their goal, which was winning their respective competitions. And if you like a bit of shoujo ai, both have some of it.

If you liked Nana add

...then you might like White Album 2 add

Both animes focus on music , and although Nana may be more mature and realistic, White Album 2 also shows the complexity of relationships among the teenage characters of the series. Both are fantastic in terms of soundtrack as well.

If you liked Scrapped Princess add

...then you might like Arslan Senki (TV) add

Both animes feature medieval settings. Both animes center a character of royal origin traveling their kingdoms with a band of allies who protect them from their pursuers/people who want them dead. Both animes are around the same number of episodes. If you liked one anime, chances are you'll probably like the other too, since they both give a similar feel which may be partly due to the setting. And the protagonists from both animes undergo some sort of character development, seen more prominently in Arslan Senki than in Scrapped Princess.

If you liked Naruto add

...then you might like Garo: Honoo no Kokuin add

As much as one anime is much longer than the other, both contain that one main character with a tough past and are consumed by revenge, in addition to both containing tattoos which sort of "trigger" their rage. Lots of action, only Naruto's action doesn't exactly come with armored suits like Garo does. Lastly, both animes have their protagonists, who both have hidden potentials, undergo awesome character development.
