Personally, I'm surprised by the low ratings because this is one of my favorite anime series of all time, next to Kuroshitsuji, Kamisama Hajimemashita, and a few others. I personally don't play otomes, so I don't know the origins of Amnesia.

However, I think this anime is one worth watching because each episode leaves you at a cliffhanger, making you want MORE. People are often irritated because the anime can in fact be confusing until the last few episodes, however I believe this adds to the suspense of the show. Once the pieces fit together near the end of the series, I knew I was definitely ... going to watch this series over and over again. Watching the series before it made sense and watching the series after it makes sense makes the show twice as enjoyable.

Amnesia is a reverse harem with four guys, and each has a few episodes devoted to their romance (although the romance is kept to a minimum, it keeps you wanting more). The show itself is exceptionally mysterious, which personally, I adore in any type of film.

Ratings:

Story: 8 - I can imagine one can easily get lost if not paying attention.
Art: 10 - The art is outstanding, especially each character's eyes.
Sound: 9 - The quaint music adds to the suspense which I LOVE.
Character: 6 - The only reason this deserved a low rating is because the series was only 12 episodes, so it was hard to develop all of the characters thoroughly, especially in relation to the heroine. Personally, I believe Kent's character was the weakest. If the series had 24 episodes or more, I believe the characters would have been developed much better, and the anime would have thrived more.
Enjoyment: 10 - Once again, it's one of my favorite anime because of its mystery and suspense; you really have to think in order to completely understand what's going on. Additionally, I like having a little light romance. If you're looking for a purely romantic anime this may not be the anime for you.
Overall: 10- I know that I didn't rate every aspect of this anime as a 10, but I honestly believe it is an outstanding masterpiece.

Whether or not you like this anime really just depends on the type of person you are. I like watching shows that have some psychological/mysterious aspect, along with some romance, and that's exactly what Amnesia is.

I'm just beginning to rewatch the series for the third time.
