I remember reading this manga back when it had started and I immediately got into it due to the amazing art for that time. I did keep up with it for some years only to lose interest due to unable to keep up with the happenings in it.
Yesterday I picked it up again by chance to see how it ended and so I read from the start. And well I’m still sorting my feelings out regarding this one.
A part of me wants to scream and complain how bad it was and how I wasted my time but at the same time a part of
...
me enjoyed the whole toxic drama it had to offer. I mean if it were just a usual love triangle trope it would’ve been both predictable as well as boring after a point. This will definitely make you pull out your hair especially after the second half because it just literally gets in your nerves I swear to god. But at the same time I don’t want to outrightly discard this as a badly written piece because it was written pretty well for what it was trying to portray. Kudos to the mangaka for being able to portray the flavour of toxic obsessive love because I could feel the pressure from the panels…but my dislike probably overweighs the goods of this plot and hence I’ll give it a 5…
The characters weren’t likeable at all….it made me think that what do I expect since they’re 15-16 but still man their actions sometimes weren’t even their age so you can’t save that behaviour anymore….and there were some parts I absolutely didn’t understand nor see the point too. As for the ending well it was frustrating to the point that was all of this for naught….well whatever.
Honestly, I would only recommend you to read it if you like me just want to read various stories or that like such types of stories which offer a change of pace from the general plots. I don’t think I would want to read it again ever. So it’s up to you…

Well, I am on a tsurune spree so I watched this right after s1….and I thoroughly enjoyed this special episode….It is not random episode for it starts off right after the tournament, and thanks to this minor event, we get to see the bonding between kazemai and kirisaki members in masaki’s shrine. It truly is a sight to behold. The episode had a comedic relief to it too which you’ll understand when you see it. I think all characters are likeable, although those twins are pretty annoying but thankfully they kinda redeem themselves….so it’s really awesome to see them being all goofy yet serious about
...
kyuudou in this episode. Overall, a must watch. Don’t skip it before you go to s2.

I would say tsurune is more of a philosophical anime than sports anime per se. I dived into it thinking I was going to watch a sports anime something similar to “run with the wind” or “free” instead of haikyuu etc. Even with those expectations it was truly beyond it too. Tsurune is an anime about finding one self rather than doing some sport. Archery, here, represents more about the way of life. And coupled with KyoAni’s fantastic animation and masaru yokoyama’s soothing soundtracks, this anime presents itself as a healing slice-of-life. If you’re feeling empty then I’d suggest you to give this a
...
try, because there’s so much to relate to minato and even masaki. They are phenomenal in kyuudou but suffer from target panic and although we don’t see masaki’s journey from the start, we do get to see minato’s. And it may act as a silver lining for us and may also motivate one to get back on track. It does have tournaments etc, but it is not exactly the premise of the plot. As I said, tsurune depicts life and it shows a process of adulting, overcoming difficulties, friendship, all of it beautifully meshed with or rather shown through the lens of archery. We also have girl members and their respective tournaments, something which is usually lacking in a sports anime. So it was nice to see their teamwork and friendship too!
I think it depends on with what lens you see this anime. If you’re just watching it as a sports anime then changes are you’re going to be bored or you’ll just see it as a fun slice of life etc….If you watch it from the perspective I mentioned above then maybe you can see the depth of it (-: Btw, expect no romance be it boys x girls or even boys x boys. I think a lot of ppl mistake it for shounen-ai, but honestly it isn’t AT ALL….relationships can be platonic too y’know~ and this is the best example of it. Everything is just so pure in here…
Can’t wait to see what season 2 has to offer.
Tsurune has become one of my comfort anime for sure! Do watch it guys…

A new manga by the mangaka of “Promise Cinderella”….as of now only 5 chapters are out but I thought I’d write a review as it is not that well known. The art is fantastic for sure, it’s so much more prettier than Promise Cinderella. As for the story, well, if yandere is your thing then you’re going to love it. So far it’s alright for me.
The male lead is a psychopathic killer who kinda saves this kidnapped and terminally ill female lead of a rich household. The fl shows some courage and proposes to him when she’s going to be killed by him which
...
results in him falling for her and thus yandere behaviour….the male lead is literally crazyyyy and not to mention good looking too so you’re probably gonna like it….Since only 5 chapters are out, I don’t know which direction the story is gonna take but we can expect budding romance between the two - although I wonder how they’re going to do that because he’s not rich so he can’t pay for her surgery, unless he’s an ostracised heir of a rich household too Lol, who knows. It’s worth checking out though.

A truly MAGICAL anime from the plot to animation to the music. A lot of moments will make you feel as if you’ve transported into a magical world. So in that sense this anime has done a fantastical job!!
The ancient magus bride is a fantasy romance anime which is set in Europe, only chise Japanese. I think this is one of those few anime which may suit English dub better due to its setting. However japanese dub is pretty phenomenal too. If you suffer from depression etc, then you’ll have a lot to relate with chise, the fl. It’s a story about how she
...
is born afresh in the sense that after a horrid past she learns to find positivity in everything, after being cast away by everyone she still sacrifices herself for the sake of others….and last but not the least, she finds love in what is technically not human, the ancient magus…the magus too has quite an interesting backstory to him, and we’re still in the dark regarding his backstory….maybe we’ll get to know in s2….it is also a story of him who has no memory of his normal self to understand the world of normal once again.
After the news of season 2 was announced I was so excited but at the same time I couldn’t recall much apart from few scenes here and there because there has been a gap of 5-5.5 years. This rewatch made me fall in love with it all over again, be it the plot, music or voice acting of everyone. I have read a bit of the manga too but here I would recommend to give preference to the anime>>>> although the events are paced slightly different from the manga, so choose beforehand whichever you wanna stick to…
The season 2 is about to air next month so genuinely watch this if you haven’t or rewatch it again if you watched it while it was airing back then because even though I thought I remembered the storyline enough, I had forgotten so much!

This anime made me question whether I have prosopagnosia (face blindness) Lol. As someone with no background knowledge whatsoever this anime was very very very confusing….11 eps also took me more than an year to finish mainly because I didn’t catch up after a few eps while it was airing and then I forgot the storyline and my second rewatch took me couple of months and now I’m just confusion. I love historical genre hence I didn’t drop it but if you aren’t into the genre then just skip it. If I speak about the art, then some characters look really alike and there are
...
these two baldies whom I couldn’t differentiate when either of them appeared. The characters name are your typical historical names like taira-no-shigemori, Fujiwara-no-narichika etc…and it was so difficult to follow who was who. I really have no clue what was going on. As a response one might say that there’s a novel or book about it which has details etc but honestly that isn’t a good argument for this. I’m here to watch anime directly and not read a whole load of backstory beforehand when I’m not even that invested.
I’m still rating it a 6 because overall it was fine, soundtracks are great (by composer of chainsaw man so you can expect similar soundtracks)….art is kinda unique but it isn’t bad…animation is fluid. Characters aren’t memorable except for biwa….I couldn’t even differentiate others for gods sake, all ladies looked the same all men looked the same and all grandfathers looked the same rip.
maybe the plot is really good too, it’s not that I disliked it…. I just couldn’t understand it…

Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi anime has been one of an experience. First of all, I’m so glad it aired in winter 2023 season because considering the season and the anime name, it really imparted warmth instead.
As for the show, if you’re into shoujosei then you’re going to love it a lot but if you aren’t into those demographics then it’s probably going to bore you due to the pacing etc. So do take a note of that.
Anyways I loved it and if I were to say then it has the vibe of wotakoi (kind of). Just the vibe, nothing
...
else tbh as wotakoi had better animation, budget and pacing etc. So if you watch it with expectations of it being similar to wotakoi then you’ll be disappointed. The best thing about this show is there is literally no drama no love triangles, just wholesomeness. This surprisingly had a supernatural element wherein certain characters are descendants of mythical beings and channel their emotions based on their ancestors powers. For example, the ml, himuro is a descendent of Yuki-onna (snow women) so depending on his state of emotions etc he’d end up causing a blizzard etc. So these elements made it very intriguing. The fl fuyutsuki is a normal person (tsundere probably) and she accepts himuro for who he is so their chemistry sets off and the anime is just them chilling out. Himuro’s kansai-ben was such a treat especially whenever he went “mecchaaa-kawaiiiiii” along with a blizzard and a shamisen (I guess) bgm. I adored those parts so much! There isn’t even a process of them falling in love or confessions and stuff because they already are or rather they don’t care labelling their emotions. You won’t see them mulling over stuff like oh does he//she like me or how do I confess etc. They just seem married to everyone including the viewers…it is great in that sense.
The animation was great but I think around the middle I felt as if they weren’t showing much expressions at all, at first it definitely seemed cool but later it did feel stagnant. This series is not something you’d want to binge watch as you might get bored at times since they’re just chilling, watching movies, hanging out with colleagues so nothing unique there….but if you watch it like any slice of life anime then you’ll enjoy it! The manga chapters are quite short so in that sense the anime was well adapted to form a cohesive storyline. But I’d prefer the manga since I feel they’re more expressive there and it’s a short read so quite enjoyable too.
Overall I would rate it a 7 or 8 depending on whether you’re binge watching it (7) or watching at a slow pace (8).
Considering the open-ended ending I wonder if there will be a season 2 (since manga is not over I believe) but it’ll be great if they do make one :-)

Out of all the hetro omegaverse, this one takes the cake so far. Tachibana is the ideal main lead you can ever find in general and what’s more is that he’s an alpha so you can imagine his good qualities intensified 100x. I have read a good bunch of josei smut and I notice how they show ml driven by his lust but tachibana is not at all like that. So you have the ml and fl who are the intended pairs but don’t know it yet and fl’s suppressants never work whenever he’s around. The ml helps her get off which she surprisingly doesn’t
...
mind maybe due to her heat and at the same time mistakes him for a beta. Now the plot may not be unique per se and I mean there isn’t much to the plot either but it’s just so wholesome? I’ve read it many times so far just because I can’t get enough of their chemistry. What I liked more was how in later chapters they show the whole storyline from the ml’s perspective too so you can see what was going on in his mind when the events took place. Anyways bro got superior resistance, admirable much.
The art is amazing and we have uncensored snu snu too just sayin’ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I’d love to give it a 10 but it’s not over yet so I’m not sure if they’ll add some unnecessary dramas and triangles and stuff as is usually the case, so my rating may change accordingly. Would definitely recommend you to check it out though with viewers discretion advised ofc.

No doubt in us is surprisingly heartwarmingly good!! First of all the artstyle and animation is so crisp and clear and secondly the voice actors were phenomenal. I was pleasantly surprised. As someone who isn’t very accustomed to donghua’s yet I felt very intrigued by it from the first episode. And it’s easy to watch as it’s just 10 mins per episode.
If gender bender is your thing then definitely check it out and if it isn’t then too check it out. An emperor and empress swap their body due to some spell cast upon them and it results in a hilarious mess. That’s not
...
it as apart from comedic relief, there’s a serious story in the backdrop and the amazing thing is that they pull it off in just 10 mins per episode. The empress is so much stronger than the emperor and it was an eye candy to see her adept in martial arts and such. The romance element was fantastic too, made we wish for more moments between them..
Do watch it if you’re looking for a light hearted and chill historical anime. I hope the second season will be as good as this was!

If you don’t have any experience with dongua (Chinese anime) then this is a good place to start. I’d recommend you to watch it in Chinese dub instead of Japanese dub and although the first few eps may sound a bit awkward and will make you want to switch to Japanese dub, you’ll get used to it I assure you. The opening (although it’s in English) and the ending (Chinese rap) go hardddd in the original omg, plus their original voice suits them more.
Now about the series itself….it’s a great supernatural detective mystery thriller where one of the ml (white haired one, still can’t remember
...
their names) has the ability to get into photographs to solve cases. Don’t expect any romance at all between anyone and I mean anyone in here….which is great I mean. (If you’re thinking it is shounen ai or yaoi it is NOT). The episodes and the events are connected throughout which is another plus point and keeps you hooked. The story is pretty good and makes you emotional at times. The only con I’d like to point out is don’t expect any backstory at all of anything…how they end up with superpowers, why they’re doing this job etc etc….there’s no explanation of anything whatsoever and you just need to accept various things along the way. This did put me off because as a long time anime watcher as I’m used to heavy back stories and good explanations and all. However, I still rated this so high is because of my overall experience. I mean if you keep the expectations away you’ll enjoy it a lot and that’s why I’m writing this here.
Definitely a must try if you want to explore animes of other countries. I’m glad they’re catching up to the high standards finally as before I had a tough time getting into donghua’s…
Also the season 1 ends in a cliffhanger and very bad cliffhanger so season 2 is going to be insane especially considering how long it is taking to come out. Really excited for next season <3
Btw the opening and endings go hardddd so don’t miss them!
