If you're looking for a manga with a bittersweet ending, I definitely recommend this one shot. It depicts a girl that falls in love with a tree spirit that she has known since she was very young. Through the story, these two forbidden people feel what it is like to go through a first love.
Story: I've watched anime and read manga with the same story line, so this one is nothing new. Nevertheless, it still is a refreshing manga to read as these types of innocent and simple love stories are quite rare gems to find.
Art: The art is very similar to other shoujo mangas
...
as the characters are very good looking and the detail is girly, though it is not the “flowery and glittery” type of girly. It is one that is quite wispy and seems solemn, which is a plus considering the type of tragic story this is so it compliments this one shot very well.
Character: The characters are also very simple as the author mangaka does not go into very much detail about their past experiences and how they are shaped. It's just like “BAM. There. Those are your characters and what they are like.” but I am not against this, considering that it is a one shot. Even though, I like the characters as they are not the annoying usual manga characters. The guy is not rude and selfish and the girl is not weak and dense like usual heroines.
Enjoyment: I did very much enjoy this manga, but it is one that I do not really want to enjoy once more in the future. I shed some tears at the end, but because I have cried harder from other manga and anime, I just feel like this one shot only made me cry because it reminded me of other works I have read and watched.
Overall: Is this a manga that I would recommend to others? Maybe. I would only recommend it to people that are weak-hearted to sad stories as this one is more sweet on people. Even though it sounds harsh, I still did like this manga and I feel it should be more recognized as people can learn or even reminisce of how harsh first loves can be on them.

I found this movie from searching for an anime that had a bittersweet ending, and when I found this I feel like I have been changed. This movie shows just how time can be something that people take for granted and that it can be cruel at time. It shows how deep a person's first love can effect them emotionally and through their life.
Story: The story is about a girl that has known a spirit ever sine childhood and every summer, whenever she sees him, her feelings grow into something more than friendship. Her visits affect this spirit as well as he too slowly
...
falls for her but there is one set back. She cannot touch him for then he would disappear. After knowing the plot of this, I knew that this would be a movie with a heartbreaking ending as I have read manga with similar plots. Even if it is not original, it nevertheless did not fail to pull out the hurt tears from me.
Art: The art is.. not something that can be memorable compared to usual anime series. Though for a movie, it was very good in keeping things balanced and nothing seemed out of place. What I liked was that the art kept to it's simple story line as it stuck with simple animations instead of the usual showy characters with “immense beauty”.
Sound: This here, this is all preference. I very much like the classical music genre and this movie's soundtrack is just all classical music. Due to, the music, for me, made an incredible enhancement in the emotions in each scenario. Emotions like falling in love and feeling heartbreak for the first time. The voice actors on the other hand, they did not really make an impact on me but they were not bad. I just feel that they might have needed a bit more emphasis on making a scene more emotional.
Character: Unlike most of the anime that I have seen, the characters did not have this IMMENSE back story but were just like any normal person. They were not flaunted with their flaws, but were just like normal people that you would see in person. This was quite a refreshing thing to witness after watching too many anime that had characters with pasts that hugely influenced the way they are.
Enjoyment: Throughout the whole 45 minutes, I was just incredibly interested in seeing what would happen next. Literally, I did not move at all because I did not want to distract myself from seeing a small detail. Even though I did shed some bitter tears in it's tragic ending, I did not have any resentful feelings towards the movie as I felt like that just showed how good something is when it affects you like that. On the other hand, I did have some laughs scattered here and there due to it's cute silliness in moments of when the girl is in her younger childhood.
Overall: To summarize this whole thing, this movie is one I would recommend to my other friends as I feel that this movie that is not very popularly known needs to be shown to other people. The simplicity and refreshing feel of this movie is one that I will not forget and would eagerly want to watch multiple times in the future.

This anime is just.. completely legendary. It brought out some new emotions that I've never felt before. At first, I never was interested in this anime AT ALL, but then I saw some wicked edits of it on Vine and the animation seemed pretty unique so I thought I should try it out. Woah boy, I did NOT expect the emotional train ride I just signed myself up for.
Story: The story really is quite captivating, I could not stop watching each episode and finished this whole series in one sitting. As you can see from the summary of the animation, it is based on the
...
corruption of the world's government. Though it may seem like a boring subject to base anime on, do not be fooled because as you watch more and more of it, you realize that there is much more that goes on, but I won't spoil it for you.
Art: Well, the art is just absolutely gorgeous. For an animation, it really made me feel like these things were realistic because of how precise all the character's facial expressions were and how the bombings turned out. It felt like I was watching a true situation being laid out before me.
Sound: I can only describe it in one word and that is: Indie. The soundtrack consisted of songs that are not popular in today's music industry and consisted of a lot of instruments, especially the acoustics in sentimental scenes. Although it's a new sensation to anime, it does not fail to compliment and enhance the emotion of each scene. But then, oh lordy, THE VOICE ACTORS. Big round of applause to those talented people. Their voices were just perfect, I have no complaint because they were mostly the reason why I cried and felt a rush of new emotions because of the passion they have in making their characters come to life.
Character: Although you do not get into too much background of where they came from, what they do in their current time just completely shapes their character and you get a good feel of how demented some characters' pasts were. None of the characters are the ones that you typically come by, these characters have far more sides to them than come to the eye, and that's what makes them so fascinating and captivating.
Enjoyment: As you can see, I have no complaints whatsoever and although I experienced quite some depressing emotions, I absolutely have not regrets over it.
Overall: So the basics of what I'm saying is that YES. I DEFINITEY RECOMMEND YOU TO WATCH THIS. Coming from a person that's been strictly Shoujo for 8 years, that's really a lot as this anime is way out of my league but nevertheless did not fail to make an impression on me. I'd definitely want to watch this over and over and over again.

For starters, I just watched this anime because it was a reverse harem. As there is very little in that genre, I thought I should give it a try, and I'm going to be truthful and say that this anime was quite a waste of my time.
Story: I assumed that the story would be something interesting, but it turned out to be a rip-off of Yumeiro Patissiere. This was incredibly uninteresting and evoked no emotion from me.
Art: I give a tiny bit of kudos to the "bishounen" styled art as they had good sense of fashion and the colors complimented each other, but the fact
...
that the little "romance" scenes were so flowery and cutesy made me want to gag a bit. I also noticed some weird things going on with their eyes or hair here and there, like the were glitching or seemed out of place.
Sound: The sounds was okay, it was very childish and did not seem too romantic. It's soundtrack did not improve the animation in any way. On the other hand, the voice actors and actresses were.. alright. They did not stand out to me too much, besides the fact that their voices would get all high and squeaky, which annoys me. A LOT.
Character: I expected more development of the characters, but did not see any, besides the fact that their fashion sense was really good at the last episode.
Enjoyment: I did not really enjoy it. It was like a boring train ride.
Overall: Well, my thoughts right now is "at least I got this anime done and over with". Nothing in this anime really struck me emotionally, but only visually. I think this anime is only good for it's eye-candy, otherwise if you are looking for something that is cute all the way through, I recommend this. Though beware, do not expect any memorable things. This is something that you could probably watch if you have some free time to throw away.

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM. Caution: Massive amounts of sexual references in this anime, as well as cursing.
Story: The story is one that is unique from any other, each episode has a different story and the things they come up with always puts me in a surprise!
Art: The art is quite childish, almost reminding me of my childhood show, The Powerpuff Girls. Except, of course, that this anime is absolutely lewd. In a hilarious context! There are scenes here and there with the typical anime drawings, but otherwise, it's mostly drawn like a kid's anime.
Sound: Hmm.. Nothing that I can complain about here! The soundtrack
...
is just as good, and makes this anime more better than it already is. The voice actors and voice actresses did an amazing job portraying their characters, without annoying me.
Character: The characters are really something different! They are quite realistic, but an EXTREMELY exaggerated realistic. Their personalities are similar to the personalities of people in the US, so then it has a higher chance of relating more with US watchers.
Enjoyment: This anime was pure joy to watch through each episode, I have to say that I have no regrets at all.
Overall: Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is in the end, one that can be deemed a legend. This anime will surely be one that I can rewatch over and over again!

At first I had no interest in reading this before but then after remembering how much I loved the anime I figured to give it a chance because you know "The books are better than the movies" am I right? Well, starting off on the first chapter I was already laughing at the childishness of it. But in an absolutely good way! Next thing I knew, I could not stop reading it. Approximately, I finished the whole thing in 5 days. 5 straight hours of reading it per day because it was that great! Now I'm going to start going in detail.
Story: 10
The story is
...
really unlike no other! It has it's plot twists that make total sense in the end and are a great factor in making the story as good as it is. It starts off really innocently but also quite challenging due to the fact that most of the characters treat her unwell, but each chapter she becomes one of their most important people in their life which is really heartwarming. All of a sudden, before you know it Mikan and all the characters just.. grow on you and what they feel, you feel! Their sadness is your sadness, their happiness your happiness! (But that's what I think.. unless I'm just a super sensitive butt) I like the fact that in the story, their build up to action and intensity (which in fact, is really strong) is quick and makes you wonder what will happen next. > /)(\
