I read this manga twice, but I dropped it the first time because it was still ongoing, and the character development was very slow. I decided to give it another try.
Hibi Chouchou is similar to other shoujo manga where the female MC is popular at school. Even though she is popular, she can't talk to boys due to trauma caused by constant confessions and disturbances from them. Then comes the male MC, who surprisingly isn't interested in her.
Story: 6/10
The first few chapters are good, but as the story progresses, it becomes slow. It's a cliched manga, just like many others. The plot and story are
...
predictable.
Characters: 7/10
The characters are quite good and likable. Both main characters struggle to talk to the opposite gender. For example, Suiren, the female MC, has trouble talking to males, while Kawasumi struggles to talk to females. The side characters are very supportive and help the MCs in their relationship. However, there is one character I didn't like: Koharu, the MCs' senior.
She likes Kawasumi because he is strong, as he is part of the dojo club, but she gets rejected by him. Later, she starts liking Kawasumi's senior, Atohira, because he is also part of the dojo club. She gets rejected by Atohira as well, and I couldn't help but wonder what purpose her character serves in the manga.
