This is my first time writing a review so if I wrote anything that you don't agree on or you just hated my writing skills my apologies. Basically, this anime is about survival horror, psychological, romance, supernatural, suspense. If you like watching characters going CRAZY I recommend you to watch this anime. It starts of a middle schooler Yukiteru, an anti social bystander who writes everything he see in his phone "diary". In his room he talks to his "imaginary" friend Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space. Deus told Yukiteru to participate in a "Royal Battle" with other eleven people. This

eleven "diary holders" would have to kill each other and the last one standing gets to replace Deus. The diary has it unique ways to predict the future and trapped each other "diary holders" to a "dead end".
Story=9
The story is amazing and it keeps me watching and waiting for a new episode each week. As you watch the anime along, you'll start to ask questions and it would just drive you insane. It's fantastic how almost all diary holders had a rough past and would do anything for love, power, and vengeance.
Art=8
The characters is really drawn appealing and their facial reaction is perfect in every scene. But the violence, bloody, gory scenes is not scary or disgusting enough to make puke and not sleep at night. Well which is a good thing because I don't want that to happen to me especially at Sunday night since I have school and all that. :D The art is typically the one you see at most mecha anime but they made the color more lighter.
Sound=9
The first opening really fits the anime and probably the most "original" one I've ever listened to. At first I always skipped the opening because it gives me the chills but I got used to it and I totally loved it.
Character=8
I would give it a 9 but Yukiteru ruined it. He is the most annoying cry baby character you'll ever meet in the anime. He is one of those "normal" characters you'll meet in the anime while the rest are just INSANE which made them cool :D But of course they exaggerated a bit on the characters which made it either annoying,weird,unrealistic (I know this anime is fiction but come on make the character traits more realistic or human).
Enjoyment=10
After watching only the first episode I can't stop watching it. I even read the manga to know what will happen next. Most of the time you'd probably be all serious, cry (a bit), or just scared.
Overall=9
Maybe 9.25 or 9.5. Great anime and I would recommend you to watch it. Not the kind of anime you'll see often. As you watch it, you better like NINE!!!! :) I swear she is the most interesting and attractive girl you'll ever meet in the anime. Have fun watching the anime :)
