This show was quite literally the most needed show of the season, IMO. It is not the most groundbreaking BL, and the storyline is not the most realistic; HOWEVER, the character development is real, the emotions throughout feel like you are watching a true love story, and the characters grow in a way that makes you love it more with each episode. I'm sad it is only 12 episodes; however, that is all it needs. It does not need more episodes or another season, it is perfect the way it is, and closes beautifully. I will be returning to watch it again because it is ... an ideal anime based on the source material. I still cannot believe that such a perfect anime, in my eyes, was so undervalued by audiences. It should have been more loved than it was while airing, however I am sure this will become a cult classic among the BL genre. If you want to get into BL, I suggest watching this anime first or as one of the first BLs you watch because it does not objectify or fetishize gay love; it just shows it in its pure form.

I will die on the hill that this anime is one of the best of the season if not one of the best slice-of-life animes made. Mark my words, and this anime will become an instant classic if picked up for another season. The story is amazingly made, and the characters and arcs are perfect. I watched this show to prepare for bedtime, and when I did, it gave me a new outlook on life. It is probably dramatic to go that far, but I don't care because I cried more times than I would like to admit while watching this anime. Yuzuki-san Chi no ... Yonkyoudai constantly reminded me every second that I watched it why slice of life is my favorite genre and what can be shown if done correctly. I suggest you watch this show; it's cute, and you will not regret it. If you disagree, argue with the wall.

It's a Netflix anime, what more can I say about it? I love historical animes, don't get me wrong, but this one did not have what it took to grab my attention and keep me invested. I watched it dubbed so that I could do other things like clean or do homework while watching it. It did not need my full attention, which I consider important when reviewing an anime. Personally, I like the shows where I am 200% invested and cannot do anything except watch it when it is on.
Onmyouji is not bad by any means, I did like the show, and I ... saw small instances of BL undertones, which I always appreciate, but, that is to say that it is a quintessential Netflix anime, meaning that it will never be downright amazing.
The story is okay, and the animation is super mid, but the dialogue is what makes it tolerable. If you are going to watch this show, I highly recommend watching it while doing other things, like scrolling social media or cleaning, because that is when I like it most. Sorry.

This show had SO MUCH PROMISE in the beginning. I was looking forward to getting this anime off my "planned for later" list, but alas, it did not live up to the expectations that I had in mind. The first couple of episodes were honestly God Tier and made me want to binge, however, I believe this anime fell into the 12-episode curse, where so much started happening, that nothing felt important, and lost its way. By what I recall the 5th episode, this show started feeling like a chore to watch and stopped being entertaining. I couldn't tell you the premise after that episode. ... I think it banked off the gore aspect and put little thought elsewhere.

If you want to watch this show, go for it, I am sure there is an audience, because it has become a cult classic. but in the end, I was left feeling very underwhelmed.

Like, it wasn't bad or anything. The show was super cute and all, but at the same time, it flew under the radar for me. I think a little of it may be a result of the story, and maybe this is also an issue with the development of the anime, but some things were so heavily focused, whereas other aspects that could have used more time did not receive the attention they needed. After episode 4, I wondered if I wanted to continue watching. I am never one to give up on an anime, so I went in to see if there was something ... I was missing, but there wasn't and I watched 10 episodes of a sub-par anime where I can't remember anything that happened besides idol fans being idol fans. The show ended like there may be room for a season two, but at the same time, it ended abruptly. I don't know.... if you want an anime to watch while doing dishes or household chores, I would say that this is a good one to do.

This show is so cute, and the dub is so much better. I literally cannot get over how good this anime is. I forgot the entire time that this was technically an iseki, and I TYPICALLY HATE ISEKI'S. PLS if you want to watch a show that will make you laugh because of how quirky the characters are, please watch this one. AND PLUS IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER OF SORTS?!?!?! SIGN ME UP.
This show made me start liking girls love anime. more the merrier.

I dunno, the storyline is pretty mid, but the character development and understanding of the world more than make ... up for it. I could not recommend this more. But only if you are a veteran when it comes to anime. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WHACK SHOW TO A NEWBIE

Was a show I put on in the morning while I was getting ready, so I didn't put my full attention into watching it, but I was able to get the main premise of the show and the characters, etc. Like, was not bad in the slightest, but it was nothing something that I first put on and was like, "omg, I'm going to like this show" which is somewhat disappointing because I had this in my 'plan to watch' section for about three years, and I was waiting for the perfect time to begin it. It is a very typical vampire anime, with very ... basic storylines and development. if you want a show where you do not need to think while watching it, or to have an anime you can put on in the background while doing other things like getting ready, sweeping or doing dishes, I would recomment it, but its nothing life changing.

If you want an anime that you don't per se need to pay attention to 100% of the time to enjoy, I seriously recommend this one. I watched this as I was doing my hair in the morning or had it going in the background while making dinner or cleaning my apartment. I really enjoyed it in this respect, as it was funny, entertaining, cute, and was one of those shows that you got the jist of it if you only paid attention for 5 minutes. I also played it in 2x speed so there is that. Also, I'm learning Japanese, and this show was ... really helpful in learning it because you didn't need to pay attention to the story, and only needed to focus on the dialogue that you are hearing because it's not like other dialogue that you hear from other anime. I dunno, I really liked it.

CGDCT is by far my favorite genre simply because of this. The pacing was amazing, and the story was so cute. This became a show that I didn't want to end because I would watch an episode after a really stressful day or just when I needed to unwind from the world. The characters and dry-ish humor were relatable, and everything about it was just amazing. Really recommend this anime if you need a break from action and drama. The only gripe I have is that Season 2 isn't dubbed and this is one of the animes that I would recommend watching dubbed because the ... English I believe is by far funnier.

Like all other Iseki's, besides a slim few, this anime falls victim to classic tropes, boring storylines, and overpowered OP. While it's a nice change of pace that he isn't overpowered from the get-go, it still plays into other classics of isekis that make it a bore to watch. I was really invested during the beginning episodes and I thought it had potential, but after you get a feel of the world, it becomes stale really quickly. It takes a lot for an iseki to be good and standout from the rest, and this anime just simply didn't have that special something... sorry
