For a show based on a Gacha game, and assumedly only made as an advertisement, the show is overall “good.” As someone who played through the game’s story until about halfway through the shows story, it would be fair to say they made it a lot more engaging than the original. However, the somewhat Janky fight & action scenes, as well as horrible default subtitles, take away from what is a very pretty anime with an interesting world and fun & cute characters. If you’re going to watch it, use fan subtitles.

An inoffensive batch of short vignettes that have nice character moments and interactions. If you're a fan of the characters and how they interact, you get more of that here. Albeit with significantly lower stakes and more small talk/day to day activities. If that interests you, you should give it a shot! But if you're indifferent to them, you wont miss anything by skipping it as there is nothing new plot wise that isn't already mentioned.
It would have been nice to have it fully animated, but the stories and settings still work and are enjoyable with the slideshow style they chose to use. Most likely ...

Girls und Panzer continues to be the best in class for CGI vehicle battles and has certainly come a long way from the original season. The latest installment keeps with the tradition of balancing authentic and historical details with anime action and fun. Together it forms one of the best action and slice of life shows there are for fans of militaria & history. While this entry was rather light on story, the character interactions that happen during the two fights keep with trend of GuP having very strong character identities who have and need relatively short screen time to make an impact.
