For a short series with non-stop action and an adventure with a twist, there is no need to look further than Murder Princess. Personally, when I heard about the title, I was thrilled because the idea of a killer princess is something new and different when its brought upon a series. No doubt, instantly I knew it was gonna be a good series just from the title itself. What was your thought when you first heard about it?
Anyway, in moving along, as summaries in the synopsis, Princess Arita just witnessed the death of her king and now fleeing from unknown assassins, she accidentally
...
ran into Falis, a famous bounty hunter and with a twist of fate, they switched souls making Alita the maid and Falis, the princess instead.
As the series moves on, you get to see how Falis adjust her new life in being the princess of Foreland as well as savagely slashing her enemies away with her great bounty hunter skills in order to protect the land and the citizens of Foreland, a promised made with Alita. In additional, there are many mysteries throughout the storyline to keep you entertained other than just slashing and shooting throughout the series like for example the mystery of the dark knight and the past of Princess Falis as known as Alita into why she became a bounty hunter. Ideas like these makes the storyline more captivating.
In regards to the OP theme, beginning it with heavy metal rock music gets you into the mood at the beginning of each episode. It's like, you know you will get to see some action and they just want you to gear up for it. Ideas like these just makes the series more enjoyable in my opinion.
Overall, a short, fast, action pace series full of adventures and thrills. As specified by the title, it does deliver a 'killer' good series.

Ichigo Mashimaro OVA is indeed a continuation of "cute girls do cute things in cute ways". The only differences from the original 12 episode series is, this one only has 3 episodes and it has a new OP and ED theme added to it.
As you may know from the original series, their fun and adventures of their daily lives continues on by 4 adorable 3rd graders and 1 big carefree sister. As a group, they continue to entertainment themselves from the activities they do and the things they say on a day to day basis and for us, its joyful entertainment while
...
we are being amused by their vivid imagination and events in which they occur.
No doubt, this series could easily turn out into another 12 episode series where more fun and games can be introduced into their daily lives. As long as they keep the activities different, I don't see how it will fail.
In conclusion, a good way to finish up the whole series in general. While there no real ending, you just can't help but imagine what new adventures they are up to next.

As specified in the synopsis "cute girls do cute things in cute ways" is what it delivers. Based on the slice of life manga series, the story is considered plotless and instead, viewers are being treated with laughter and uber cuteness by 4 adorable 3rd graders and 1 big sister who just wants to find a decent 'good paying' job without being distributed or 'attacked' by either one of them, in particular Miu, one of their group members who is 'hyper' active.
From the beginning of the series towards the end, you basically see the activities these girls do on a day to day basis.
...
You see how they socialise and what events they enjoy doing. As you get to know what they like to do, you will start to get to know more about their personalities and maybe relate to one them when you were younger or as of now. Their personalities is so common to the average 3rd grader in the real world, it's not too hard to fall in love with them and laugh at the things they do and say, in which we may have experienced them in our life time.
In referring to character development, there isn't a solid base where we learn about the characters step by step. Instead, we are learning about them in a group while we are laughing and enjoying quality entertainment provided to us. Its how they socialise and the activities they do in which we learn so much about them.
In conclusion, a series in which is shouldn't be missed by the young and the old because series like these lifts your mood and gives you a smile on your face each episode of the way.

Dai Mahou Touge is an hilarious, parodic series from the original manga adaptation. To start things off, it has no actual plot other than what is being stated in the synopsis, it features some hilarious parodic moments from a few famous movies and series and its generally a short series consisting of 8 episodes in total. (2 episodes of 12mins each in one).
Considering the series is somewhat plotless, I'm gonna talk a bit about Tanaka Punie. Well to start it off, she really is the queen wannabe from her magical land considering she has a candy stick as a magical weapon and her well
...
known, all famous 'submission' move where it either kills the person and the person comes back to life the next day or paralyzes the person in which making us think they are dead. But really, none of us can hate her considering she brings us serious laughter and joyful entertainment, weather she is in a happy or in a cold-blooded killing mood.
Each episode are just merely daily school life activities where she gets accustomed to the living on Earth. While it may seem the events look ordinary, the parody events plays a major role. A few examples of these parody events includes famous cut scenes from the Initial D series and the Alien and Deer Hunter movies. If you still think this is an original comedy, well you are in for a treat.
In conclusion it's for all comedy lovers or for anyone in general.

PS: Review is based on both seasons. Although there is no spoilers, it's recommended you've watched the 1st season before reading on.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is indeed one of the fine "Mahou Shoujo" series you will pick up. The beginning does drag a while but it makes it up in the miiddle and end of the season 1 and with the beginning of A's, there is no stopping you in getting into the series until the very end.
Season 1 starts off with the introduction of Nanoha and her sudden involvement in helping Yuuno in finding all the Jewel Seeds. When Nanoha starts to get
...
use of her magical powers and the search for the Jewel Seeds seem reachable an unexpected Mahou Shoujo arrives by the name of Fate Testarossa, whose purpose is to capture all the Jewel Seeds as well for her own purposes. This makes Nanoha job more complicated considering she has a rival with the same goal. Not going into anymore further details about the storyline, the events and twist throughout the 1st season will leave you satisfied it was a good 1st season to complete. Even though the pacing was slow, the battle scenes sure does make it up.
Season 2 begins a couple of months after the events in Season 1. With a few new rivals and a new mission, it starts off very fast paced and you couldn't wish for a better start than this. The storyline is more compelling and exciting compared the the first and the battle scenes looks more of a challenge where it may get your heart racing on the outcome of the battle.
In conclusion, this series is for anyone from ppl who are starting to enjoy anime to the casual watchers and for the long term anime watchers. It has a good OP and ED single to get into the series, good storyline and good character development. It does deliver the entertainment requirements you need.

Hitohira is another nice school based drama series where it does have it share of comedy and romance like any typical school based drama series. While others may not agree with me but this series was indeed underrated and it wasn't a mainstream series to begin with. Considering there wasn't anything special about the series, I still recommend it as its fairly enjoyable in a whole.
In moving on, the central focus of this series is on Asai Mugi. As the synopsis already mentioned she transfers into a new school, has trouble speaking publicly and now she is pushed into joining a drama club. Now when
...
a person who has trouble speaking publicly and then all of a sudden joins a drama stage acting club, you will be sure there will be some funny acts and humorous moments to entertain your viewing purposes.
As mentioned before, the central focus is on Asai Mugi so great character development can be seen from here. Not only we are being entertained by her, but we get to watch and see her grow from the events she is given. We get to see how she manages to build her confidence, lift her spirits and achieve the dreams she wants. In addition, we get to see how her friends and rivals play a vital part with her learning experiences, and indeed you will be entertained in some of their activities they do.
Inconclusion, if you enjoy school based dramas then this one shouldn't be overlooked. Its a funny and lovely series where, at times, there are favorable moments.

What were your first thoughts when you heard about the title name? Well, my first thought was "this is lame title for a series, so I\'m guessing its gonna be a pretty lame series." Well... I can tell you, I was wrong, really wrong and I don\'t regret being wrong because it\'s one of the best random title\'s I\'ve ever picked up.
The story focuses on the adventures of 3 main characters, Yukari Morita, Matsuri and Akane Miura who comes in later in the series. Although, their dreams of becoming astronauts wasn\'t intentional, it just sort of happen when Yukari wanted to find some answers
...
in the disappearance of his father and why he left her mother so suddenly on their honeymoon trip. On another note, there was this Space Agency in crisis where they needed someone drastic at a respectable size to continue their space program expedition before they lose funds and thats where Yukari comes in, in willing to help out for the exchange from them helping her look for her father. In addition, this is where the comedy comes it.
While it\'s strange for a couple of high school girls to be able to become astronauts in a short period of time, it does gives a sense of idea where anything is possible if you set your mind to it. The training, the laughs, making friends, trusting each other are all memorable moments a person experience and this series stay true to that.
The character development is acceptable as they start to become less naive about the dangers they face but the adventures is what really lacked the most. Not enough mission I will say as a majority of the episodes were focused on the training. If it was a 24 or 26 episode series, then I wouldn\'t have picked on that but that wasn\'t the case.
The OP & ED was good considering it fitted well on the series as a whole. I believe the purpose of the OP was to lift your spirits high and prepare for new challenges to come and I reckon it delivered that.
Inconclusion, a well worth series to watch. There are some humor moments where it gets you through those dull moments but the adventures and experiences from these 3 girls is what gives you the enjoyment of the series.

Di Gi Charat - Winter Garden is a warm and lovely title where you don\'t need to be familiar with Di Gi Charat series to enjoy it and/or understand it. Its not a direct sequel so anyone can randomly pick it up and enjoy it.
Basicaly the story evolves around Digiko and her love with Takurou Senba. Their love is not considered "love at first sight" but it\'s seen as more of a developing relationship from a first sight encounter. With some dramtic and comedy moments, this love story isn\'t easily forgotten even though it span through 2 episodes.
In conclusion, recommended for anyone into the romance
...
genre. Its a very cute and romantic title where it could have easily extended in a 12 episodes series if they remade it again.

For a 4 episode series, it sure does deliiver the goods but not all of it. With good CG animations and soundtrack to get you into the series, it didn\'t make it up for the character development and storyline but considering its only a 4 episode series (2 hour movie if you would say), it had to be rushed in order to fit all the events in and in a proper sequence.
The beginning starts off with the usual routine of investigating in the cybernetic world. As the FLAK was doing their normal routine, they encounter this special girl and things take a nasty turn for
...
a couple of FLAK members. As the story moves on, Souma Tooru becomes one of the new members in the FLAK new devision but he joined not to relive his glory days as \"Steppen Wolf\" but for solely one purpose. You will have to watch to know why. ^_^
In conclusion, one of the best CG anime series I (and maybe you) will ever watch. Its full with a big plot to follow and an action pack sequence where it may amaze you from time to time. Its recommended for the mature audience but in general its for everyone who enjoys a bit of drama, action and adventure.

Soukou no Strain is without a doubt one of the best sci-fiction series out there. The series isn\'t heavily focused on the war itself and between regular mecha battles but instead its primarily focus is on Sara Werc, on how she cope with the loss of her friends and the betrayal of her brother.
Clearly the first episode is what drives us towards the edge of our seats. With the lost of Sara friends and the shocking revelation of being betrayed by her own brother, it instantly give us the questions into why he betrayed her? what made him betrayed her? etc. and in addition, who
...
is the strange \"cute\" girl being taken by her brother? what is his intentions with her? whats his purpose in taking her? etc. etc. All these questions and many more are being answered constantly as we progress throughout each episode while new questions are being brought out and answered towards the very end.
The storyline is excellent! We can not ask for a better storyline (with no cliche) full with drama and thrills and seeing there are no \'fillers\' along the way, there is never a dull moment from start to finish.
While the series may not be for everyones taste or it does not live up to your average mecha series, I sincerely hope you give ep. 1 a try because it intensity reaches at a climax point towards the end. With great character development and full of mysteries and suprises ahead, the series lives up towards it hype and no viewer will walk away without a smile on their face.
