Ganbare Douki-chan was one of the first anime I watched from season fall 2021, and has actually made it's place into my favorite new anime for this season. Let me tell you why in this short review.
The anime tells the story of a woman and the male collegue she has feelings for. Character development, comedy and ecchi scenes are magnificently brought together in episodes only 6 minutes in length.
Story: 7/10
Since I don't want to spoil too much (and I've only seen 4 episodes) I won't go too in depth into the story. However, one point I do want to make here is that there
...
is actually a story in this anime: it is not just a compilation of ecchi fillers, Even though there isn't a lot of story, it makes the anime a lot more interesting.
Art: 9/10
The art is just clean, if you watch a lot of newer anime you will definitely be familiar with the style. I had to give some extra points for the (well executed) fanservice, so 9/10 for art!
Sound: 8/10
The sound quality and sound effects are surprisingly good and detailed in this anime.
Characters: 8/10
In a lot of anime, you have the cliché set of characters: a smart one, a sportive one, and so on. This anime only has a small set of characters, but they are very likeable and well executed, especially the MC.
Personal enjoyment: 9/10
I already made it clear that i quite enjoy this anime. It actually caught me by surprise. the episodes are over in a flash, but it's 5 minutes of pure enjoyment for me. It's not perfect though: It's only a couple of minutes per episode, which is not enough to really make an outstanding story. That's the only reason I'm not giving a 10 for personal enjoyment.
Overall: 9/10
Apparently, I rate this anime a lot higher than most people. I really don't understand what's not to like about it, maybe it's just too ecchi for some people (it's ecchi, but i've seen a lot worse).
That's it folks, have a great day!

Originally, i really liked this anime. "It's mysterious vibes, coupled with minimalistic art style and interesting characters draws me in". At least, that's what I though, but soon i would find out that I was actually completely wrong.
What originally felt like a mysterious vibe, was actually just the result from lack of clear communication between characters, coupled with a weird story and complete lack of information. Though I suspect the author added this lack of information for the viewer because the drifting characters also lack a lot of information, it's just plain annoying when trying to watch the anime.
Just as I realised the story
...
isn't anything praiseworthy, the minimalistic artstyle started to annoy me as well. It really does fit the story somehow, but that doesn't mean the artstyle is pretty. In fact, I think it's more like one of the worst art i've seen so far. I ended up scoring it 4/10 because it does fit the anime.
If there's actually one thing I did enjoy about this anime, it's the characters. In most anime, characters are really generic. They're always the same, exaggerated personality types. But not in this anime. The characters actually feel like real people, with real people problems and I did really enjoy that at least.
In the end my overall score is 4/10, carried mostly by an interesting set of characters.

For anyone wondering, is Gleipnir worth it to watch? I'd say it is. You might have heard otherwise: It's weird, it's just ecchi. Honestly, you're not wrong. But let me explain why gleipnir is not just another random ecchi anime.
Story: 8
I found the story to be very interesting, though i will not spoil anything in this review. I personally feel like the creators did an excellent job at giving just enough information whilst also generating gradually more mysteries keeping the viewer interested. What are the coins? What is the protagonist? Hopefully, these are some of the questions you'll get answers to when watching the
...
anime.
Art: 8
There is not much to be said about the art in this anime. it's like most anime nowadays, except for the fact that this one is a lot darker. For example, look at the cover art of this anime. I really love the art of the monster the protagonist turns into. Not only that, as you will see in the anime there is also a very special way they go about what the "monster" sees.
Overall, the art is just pretty, but normal. There are a few things which make the look of the anime stand out from other anime, which is why i'm giving it an 8.
Sound: 7
Honestly, i never pay a lot of attention to background music or anything like that in anime, so mostly i give a 7 on sound to almost any anime for this reason. However, i do remember some epic sound effects from this anime which is a positive
Overall, there are some really cool sounds in this anime but since i don't really listen to it a lot i'm just giving 7
Character: 7
The protagonist is your average anime crybaby. However he does make a change and steps away from the classic crybaby protagonist. The antagonist however is a very interesting character. I don't wanna spoil to much but she's pretty cool. A lot of other characters come into play, each with their unique traits.
Overall, i'd give a 5 because the protagonist starts as your average anime crybaby, but the antagonist is definitely interesting. So a 7 as the final score.
Enjoyment: 8
As I said in the "story" segment, this anime knows what to give the viewer. There are so many mysteries around the whole series, yet every episode you feel like you learned something important for the plot, whilst also being left with another mysterty to solve "next week". I hope they keep this style up.
However, as you might have heard, this anime is quite ecchi at times. i'd give a 9 for enjoyment if it weren't so ecchi, so after all an 8 seems fair.
Overall: 8
I like it a lot, but i do feel like it has some trashy stuff too. Mostly they are really trying to make it wayy to ecchi. the story is interesting though, and the artstyle is kinda cool so yea an 8.
hopefully my review helped!

I'm gonna keep this review pretty short since there is not much to say anyway.
Every episode is the same, a diary entry on the right side that gets filled in as kaori talks about what happened, while the left side of the book shows some flashbacks of that scene. Therefore, there is no real story, since it's all flashbacks anyway. But then, why'd I give it 8/10?
Well, if there's anything to be said about these specials, it feels like an amazing way of looking just a tiny bit deeper into the MC's thoughts, which I guess isn't really character development, but we do get to
...
know the MC's better, which I love.
The second reason is just the way it's built up. A single character, voicing the "thoughts" he/she has while writing them down, all the while a calm song is played in the background. It's perfect!
Also it's only like 15 minutes in total, if you're wasting your time watching anime anyway just watch it after you watched the main anime ok? :P
I guess it scores pretty low because it doesn't contribute to the story and is not in any way exciting, but its very heartwarming, and that for me has its own charmes

Honestly, there isn't tooo much to say about this movie. If you saw the anime series and enjoyed it, this will be great for you too. If you watched the anime and didn't like it, why u still here go watch something else.
Story 8/10: The story is probably the "least good" part of this movie. Just like the anime, it's just a generic story where multiple plot lines collide at the end for an enjoyable time watching. It's nothing special, but it's certainly interesting and wel written.
Art 10/10: Look, i'm not gonna sugarcoat it. I'm an art simp
...
and this anime and movie are probably the best art i've seen in all my anime. I love it, i'd give it 11/10 if i could.
Sound 9/10: The sound quality is great, and the background music and sound effects fit perfectly. It's not perfect but it's pretty close.
Character 10/10: Violet evergarden has to be one of my favorite anime characters of all time. Watching her grow is just so fulfilling. The new characters were also quite good, even though not as great as violet herself. Still 10/10
Enjoyment 10/10: Its like a violet evergarden episode, except 4-5 times as long. loved every part of it.
