My favorite psychological anime and one of my favorite media in the cyberpunk genre.
The shows deeper themes of justice, morality, and authoritarianism are very reflective of the classic novels that are referenced: 1984, do androids dream of electric sheep, beyond good and evil, hamlet, crime and punishment, and the bible. The references can be a bit on the nose from the book worm makishima, but since it's very reflective of classic literature themes and the founding fathers of cyberpunk it ends up being deeply introspective and interesting as well.

The best of the series so far. Controversial because of the MC however the story is about redemption, personal growth, regret, overcoming trauma, consequences of actions, identity, and purpose. Simply putting it down because the MC reflects the point of the show is stupid. Anything involving reincarnation has always been touchy due to the nature of it. Its a story of life and growth; is rudeus supposed to get with a 35 year-old when hes very clearly a child? no that is idiotic and would be even more weird.
